You and your child will love the Bright Horizons North Cheam Day Nursery and Preschool, carefully designed to enrich the learning and development of your child, from the age of 3 months to 5 years.

The modern, purpose-built nursery boasts four large rooms and three garden areas that provide excellent opportunities for children of all ages to learn and discover. There is a designated garden for babies where they can explore in a safe space, separate from the older children.

Toddlers also have a garden area with free flow access, where they can take their learning outside should they choose to do so. Pre-schoolers enjoy exploring the outdoor environment in the large main garden area.

At North Cheam nursery, they support babies’ natural curiosity through a range of sensory toys, which help to develop their motor skills, physical development and speech recognition. The Toddler rooms are set up with play and learning resources to help them learn more about the world around them, whilst encouraging independence.

The unique, inspiring Ready for School programme gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond. Pre-schoolers enjoy early reading, writing and mathematics in fun and interesting ways, alongside other subjects such as art and science through the Growing Programmes. Children particularly love the dedicated children’s kitchen where they enjoy cooking activities, supported through the Creative Cooks programme.

The nursery has close parent relationships and holds regular family events throughout the year. The Play and Learning at home programme supports this partnership and recognises the impact parents can have on their child’s education.

The caring staff team would love to meet you and your child, so book your personal tour today.

Both my boys attend North Cheam and they love it. They are well taken care of and loved by the staff. The focus on education through play and the way they foster independence is why we love their attendance at North Cheam Day Nursery and Preschool. The outdoor space is large and inspiring. The kids
get a great balance of indoor and outdoor play. We would highly recommend this nursery.

Our children have attended this nursery for the past 5 years. The nursery has gone through changes of management and changes of corporate ownership, but the core staff have remained largely the same. The nursery is run by friendly, understanding and very professional management.
This nursery went from
good to even better. Both our children have always been very happy during their respective time here and there was not a single time they would not want to go to nursery.

They absolutely love the nursery, staff, learning activities and we are happy watching them grow into little individuals in this happy and safe environment. Our older daughter is now in school and we believe nursery truly prepared her for life at school.
Our younger daughter who is now in the Toddlers 2 room has thrived in this warm, nurturing and caring environment.

All the staff are excellent at putting the children at ease and we feel that they are truly preparing children for life at school. Well done!

My son has been attending this nursery ever since he was 18 months, starting off in the Toddler One room. He has learned so much in his time here and loves being at preschool so much that I tend to joke that I feel like I'm kidnapping him when it's time to pick him up. He's usually absorbed in one
activity or another. I feel that I have been supported with various issues as a first-time parent including potty training and reading and the staff are so friendly and hardworking.

My son receives breakfast and a cooked two-course meal for lunch every day which can lead to seconds if my growing little fella requests it. I then receive a full verbal report of how his morning has gone.

There are also various external activities that he can take part in and he has done football at the neighbouring Goals centre and is about to start Monkeynastix.
I highly recommend this nursery.

My daughter is 3 years old and has been going to Bright Horizons North Cheam for 18 months. It took some time for her to settle as she had always been with me. The staff were excellent and so patient and caring.

My daughter loves going to nursery. She enjoys the activities and learning. She says

the food is yummy and has always eaten everything. The staff are excellent, they have always take the time to talk to me about her day.

I would definitely recommend this nursery. They have a great team and at the nursery and it shows it is a lovely place.

My daughter has been attending Bright Horizons North Cheam since she was 8 months old she is now 4 and in the pre-school room. She loves attending nursery, the staff are always welcoming and know each child individually and their needs. The best decision I made was to return to work and put my daughter
in the nursery. She has good social skills and is always learning something new each day. The pre-school is amazing although it will be a sad time when my daughter leaves I know that she has been given the encouragement and skills to get ready for school transition. My daughter has a great bond with the management who are always happy to greet her on the mornings and also hear about her day at nursery at the end of each day.

My son who is 2.5 years old has started the nursery since last year September and he is enjoying his time a lot. Bright Horizons is a fantastic place. All staff go out of their way to welcome and care for my two-year-old son. Communication between parents and the staff is excellent. We’re lucky to have
such an amazing place.

My daughter has attended the nursery since she was 6 months old and is now in pre-school. She has loved every day at the nursery, spending time with her friends and having a really good relationship with the staff. My transition back to work when she was so young was difficult as a single mother but
the staff supported me to ensure the transition was a smooth one for both myself and my daughter. She has grown into a bright, chatty toddler and her time at nursery has had a big influence on that. Every day is different- learning time, play time and meals that are offered.
I am very positive that her experience at the nursery has set her up for school in September!
Thank you!

My son has been at Bright Horizons North Cheam for about a year and has just moved up from the Baby to the Toddler room. I was a bit worried that he might take some time to settle as he had spent so much time with the carers in the Baby room but he seems to be really enjoying it and all the new activities
which he gets to do

All the staff are really friendly and I have been impressed with the new initiatives launched by the team to improve the experience. A recent example of this is 'homework' which we get every few weeks to bridge the gap between what our son does at nursery and activities we do with him at home.

We have another child on the way and I'd have no hesitation putting them in BH North Cheam when the time is right.

My daughter is 2 and a half and has been coming to the nursery since she was 9 months old. My daughter loves coming to the nursery and has a great relationship with all of the staff and people who look after her. Her development is very well monitored and I am always being told about all the different
activities she has participated in and things that she has learnt. Her key person ensures that her learning story is up to date and there are lots of photos in there for me to look at. The management team are always friendly and are really approachable. I feel very comfortable leaving my daughter here and know that she is very well.

My 21-month-old daughter has been at the nursery for a little over a year now and I cannot recommend this nursery enough. The nursery is extremely well managed and organised. My daughter loves going to nursery, especially playing in the garden. I have no worries leaving my daughter at nursery as I know
she is well cared for and staff genuinely care for her needs. Staff are always very approachable and it's nice to have a hand over at the end of every day to know exactly what my daughter has been doing at nursery. The facilities are excellent and I believe that activities at the nursery have helped her develop social skills and all her milestones. My daughter loves nursery food and always eats more at nursery than at home!! It's always good, varied and nutritional. Communication between myself and staff is excellent and will always contact me if they have any concerns. This nursery was recommended to me and now I know why. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone looking for care for their children.

North Cheam was by far the best decision for my son, the nursery is very organised and communication between management, staff and parents is excellent, the staff are always very helpful and approachable, activities are always well set up when my son comes in the mornings. My son constantly talks about
his key workers and says all their names, it literally feels like I'm dropping him off to his second home, he loves it. He has come on leaps and bounds since he has started there and he absolutely loves the garden too. Overall the nursery is excellent and I would highly recommend.

My son has been attending the Bright Horizons North Cheam nursery 3 days a week for 5 months and really enjoys his time there. The staff are all very friendly towards him and he takes part in a variety of activities each day.
I am particularly impressed with the way in which accidents are promptly
reported and treated and also the care and attention that is paid to keeping the babies protected from the sun while playing outside.
The nursery is very well organised - the babies follow a clear routine and each day the room is set up with different toys and activities. All milestones are recorded in a development book, along with photos, which enables parents to keep involved with their progress.
Finally, I am a big fan of the fresh, healthy food cooked on site each day - my son eats absolutely everything provided and sometimes goes for seconds! I would have no hesitation in recommending this nursery to other parents.

We took our time choosing the nursery to which our baby boy would go for the next few years after we returned to work. Today we can happily say that we are extremely pleased and convinced we could not have made a better choice.
My baby boy joined the nursery when he was just over 10 months. He is
now 15 months and absolutely loves going to nursery every day, keenly bringing over his shoes to mommy each morning to help her get him ready!
Both carers and management staff are really helpful and caring and try their best to accommodate our requests.
We are very thankful for their hard work as we see our baby boy grow and develop beautifully.

My family have been attending the nursery for 5 years. The staff have always been friendly and attentive and I have always felt welcome.

The staff actively engage with the children, meaning they have a varied and fun day.

The recent renovation works at the nursery have brightened the rooms and

my daughter particularly likes the new style garden.

I have recommended the nursery before and will happily recommend again.

My son has attended Bright Horizons North Cheam day Nursery since he was 9mths & in that time he has loved going to nursery and learnt so much. He loves the food & is very confident, forward & able to do stuff for himself, this is down to the hard work of all the staff.

The nursery is always holding

events for the children & they have extra classes they can take part in (run by external companies at an extra cost to you if you wish for your child to partake in them). The staff also take the children over to goals to give them, even more, space to run around in and my son loves it.

The staff are headed by 2 competent leaders & with them in charge you can be sure your children are safe & the staff are all competent & caring. The refurbishment has made this nursery even nicer than before with the addition of the most adorable little kitchen for them to make stuff and the garden is lovely too.

We will miss coming to the nursery & will be sad to say goodbye.

Thank you to all at North Cheam, keep up the high standards.

Little one has been attending on a part-time basis for nearly two years and has been through baby and toddler and is now attending pre-school. Without exception, I have found the staff friendly, professional, and caring and truly concerned to give the best experience whilst e is at the nursery.
The
newly refurbished facilities are great! If you are looking for a place where your child will be truly cared for, then look no further!

Current Review Score: 8.9 (8.903)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.9 (8.903) out of 10 for Bright Horizons North Cheam Day Nursery and Preschool is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.9 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.958 for Bright Horizons North Cheam Day Nursery and Preschool is calculated as follows: ( (69 Excellents x 5) + (3 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 72 Ratings = 4.958
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.945 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bright Horizons North Cheam Day Nursery and Preschool is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 87 number of registered child places is 17.4. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 17.4 = 0.345
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
