Bright Horizons North Cheam Day Nursery and Preschool

Great environment. Our little one is really looked after at this nursery and now has a good routine for sleeping and eating, thanks to the staff. His key carers take good care of him and also give us updates, so we know how our child is progressing, in his new environment.

Both my children attended Bright Horizons, North Cheam and I have been very pleased with the care they received there. I would recommend this nursery to other parents. The nursery has the benefit of being part of a network of nurseries, so it has great policies and accounting systems in place - they didn't get bills wrong, unlike other nurseries my children have attended! Despite, being more corporate, they have managed not to lose the fact that the staff truly care about the children they look after and have a good bond with them, like what you would expect from a smaller nursery. They have a nice variety of food available for the children, excellent attention to learning and play, with well trained staff. Only downsides are, they do not have much outside space and seemed to have a regulated nap time, which didn't work so well when my son was a particular age, as he didn't need to sleep much. The nursery is very flexible with timings and didn't charge extra for early drop off.

I have two children that attend this nursery, and both have had the best experiences. Everything you could possibly want from a nursery, Bright Horizons, North Cheam, provides. All the staff are amazing and it's clear to see they really care about all the children under their care. Both my children have built strong bonds with the staff and look forward to coming every day, they would come at weekends if they could! Both my children have developed really well since attending and I cannot thank the staff enough. The nursery is really well managed, and they have been really accommodating when it comes to needing extra days. Both my children have thrived since attending and it's been really lovely to see. The staff always have time for the children, and it's been really lovely to see. They encourage sibling bonding by regularly taking my little ones to see one another. The updates are regular and consistent. The nursery manager is really caring and shows an interest in all the children who attend.

Bright Horizons, North Cheam, have been providing childcare for my family since 2019. First my daughter and now my son. From the moment I walk through the door, I am greeted with a smile from the lovely manager and one other member of staff in particular. They chat to my daughter and make us feel like family. The staff in the room fill me in on his day and update the app regularly. Nothing makes me happier than receiving a picture or a video of my son happily playing and reaching some amazing milestones with the help of the wonderful staff. Another staff member has turned the horrible feeling of mum guilt, from leaving my child behind, into a fun experience. I love the smile on his face when he sees her. I cannot recommend this nursery enough, it has made our lives so much easier and we are extremely happy with all the staff, even from other rooms, who greet us with wonderful smiles and let's not forget the free parking should you need to leave your car to catch the bus to work! I'd give it more than five stars, if I could.

My child has been attending this setting for over a year and it was the best decision I made. I was a very anxious mother, and I had a lot of mum guilt about leaving my child when it was time to return to work, however, the staff were amazing at reassuring and comforting, both me and my child. I've seen such a growth in my son's confidence and development.

Our son joined the nursery aged nine months and has been through the baby room into the toddler room over the last 18 months. We’ve genuinely been impressed with every member of the Bright Horizons team that we’ve encountered. There is a real warmth from all members of staff, which was immediately welcoming and has continued throughout our son’s time using the nursery. He has had three key workers during his time at Bright Horizons and has developed a true bond with each of them, which has helped us to understand how much he is enjoying nursery, particularly during this Covid period where we haven’t been able to enter the site. All of the staff have exceeded our expectations on a number of occasions, which has been appreciated. Communication from Bright Horizons has always been good, but particularly now we have the Bright Family app, it is easy and enjoyable to keep up with the day’s and week’s activities. Finally, the variety of food is excellent as well. Thank you to the whole team.

Absolutely lovely nursery. Friendly staff, keep us informed at all times. Our son comes home very happy and loves being there. Sometimes he doesn’t even want to come home. Professional staff and very caring. Safe environment for children.

My children attended this nursery for the last 4 years, where my daughter joined first in the toddler's room in 2017 and finished in Preschool in 2019 and then my son a year later in the baby's room in 2020 and has just completed Preschool this year. The staff have been so attentive, supporting their learning and needs throughout their time at the nursery. I have seen them both grow and learn so much over this time. The pandemic has brought its challenges and difficulties, however, they have managed the care and wellbeing of the children carefully at the same time ensuring the safety of the children and staff. I cannot thank the staff enough for supporting us as a family during our time at the nursery and they have been wonderful to work with. The nursery will be missed and I would definitely recommend this nursery.

I cannot speak highly enough of the team at Bright Horizons North Cheam Day Nursery and Preschool. My son was fifteen months old when he started last November and, due to Covid-19 had not mixed with many people other than us. He was very nervous around adults and children, which was a big concern for me. The nursery have taken such great care of him and there are no more tears when I drop him off and huge smiles when I pick him up! I was particularly anxious about him starting nursery during a pandemic but I cannot fault the measures the nursery have in place. It’s so reassuring to know my little one is in such safe hands. The support the team have given me is second to none. They have done everything they can to ensure I have visibility of what my son is doing and how he is developing. I feel well informed and fully supported by the fantastic team. It’s a real family feel amongst the team and parents. I cannot recommend this nursery enough.

I cannot thank and recommend this nursery enough. My child has attended the nursery for a year and a half now, with a break in between due to Covid. All staff are amazing and really care about all the children. During the Covid situation, I cannot fault them! They made me feel it was safe to send my child and provided so much information and safety precautions. I felt reassured and never once felt they did not want to be there caring for the children. My child has developed in so many ways since attending the nursery and shows constant progress. I am constantly updated with what my child does and achieves. My child's transition from babies to toddlers couldn't have gone any smoother! I could go on all day but as previously working in nursery settings myself and now being a primary school teacher and early years lead I was so happy to find somewhere to suit my expectations. They tick all boxes and more. When your child runs into a setting happy and safe that says it all!

North Cheam Bright Horizons is nothing short of outstanding and I would highly recommend the nursery to others.

Before attending nursery, I was struggling to get my son to eat any solid foods. Within two weeks, he started to eat a variety of things and now one month later is eating everything. Thank you!

I've been very happy with the nursery. My daughter started in September at a difficult time as most of her time had been in lockdown where she had spent most of her time with me. I was very anxious about her starting nursery but knew this would be good for her to develop. Her settling in was a few days due to COVID and at the beginning it was hard as she was struggling to settle. As I was feeling anxious about it all I spoke to the manager about my concerns and she was very reassuring. She sent me lots of photos of my daughter during her time at the nursery and they called me to give me extra feedback during her day. After a few weeks she settled and is enjoying her time there. I am appreciative of the time spent with my daughter to help her settle and the nursery staff that spent extra time with her especially her key worker. Thank you!

My daughter settled in very well. Since attending Bright Horizons North Cheam, she’s been doing well with the help of all of her amazing nursery teachers. Communication with the staff is excellent. I would definitely recommend.

My son has been at nursery since July and is loving it at the North Cheam branch. His key worker is amazing and has clearly bonded with my son, who loves her. This has made going back to work so much easier. The head of the baby room is also brilliant! My son's development has really progressed wonderfully since attending and I love that they have an outdoor section to themselves and that it is utilised daily. That was really important to us when choosing a nursery. I can't recommend this nursery enough. Thank you to all the staff! Including the chef!

It is an absolutely fantastic nursery with a lot of space for kids to move around and play in the garden. They really invest in your child and work with you to develop them in the best way. My daughter is learning a lot in the baby room and loves it there. The food is great too. The manager is very engaging and helpful. Sometimes I wish there was a camera so we can see snippets of what the babies are doing during the day but other than that, me and my daughter are very happy with the nursery.
