Devonshire Day Nursery (Chiswick)

The staff are very caring and management are great at communicating/informing parents of issues and updates on Covid-19 etc. My son has thrived socially when interacting with children and adults. His confidence is good to see. He often quotes or sings things he has learnt at nursery. I would recommend the nursery to my friends. I only wish the outdoor garden was larger.

Appreciate the daily updates via email, website and at the end of each day. Facilities are excellent and the staff are friendly which is very important for new parents.

The staff have been extremely welcoming to us and our baby. I have nothing but positive feelings towards Devonshire Day Nursery.

The nursery is very well run and our son has really thrived since he started there eight months ago. The staff are very passionate and motivated and we feel like our child is in very capable, caring hands at all times.

We absolutely love the nursery. Our daughter is always so happy and settled when we pick her up. The staff have been lovely to us and always keep us updated on her progress and development. I've recently been able to get inside the nursery for the first time (my son joined after lockdown) and it's been great to properly speak to staff about how things are going, particularly as he just moved up a room. I'm happy to see him settling in!

Our son has been attending Devonshire Day Nursery for the last twelve months - first in the caterpillar (baby) room and thereafter in the ladybirds room. He has absolutely loved and responded positively to the staff in both rooms, and we've seen positive behaviours taught and reinforced in both rooms (sharing, saying please and thank you, doing 'tidy away') and also seen how his interests have evolved and been nurtured over this time (daily feedback from the team's as to what he's enjoying - crafts, cooking, puzzles etc). The app has been really great for identifying what he's been up to, how much of his meals he's eaten (nutritious and made on-site) and we love seeing the photo updates! Really thankful to find such a wonderful, caring, high-standard nursery and we will be sending our second baby along there in due course!

Our experience at Devonshire Day Nursery has been nothing short of wonderful - every element of my daughter's learning is considered and the staff all work consistently to deliver exceptional care. I cannot rate this setting highly enough.

I couldn’t recommended Devonshire Day Nursery more highly! My son started when he was almost six months old and being a first time mom, the concept of leaving him with anyone was terrifying but one particular member of staff and the Caterpillars team instantly made me feel comfortable. My son has absolutely thrived and grown into such a happy, confident and social little boy. The team are amazing! They are so kind, compassionate and genuinely care for the children they look after. I trust them and knew that every morning that I have dropped my baby boy off at the nursery, he is taken care of in the best possible way. Today was his last day at Devonshire Day Nursery (Chiswick) before we move to Wales. It has been an incredibly emotional day as the team are almost like an extended family to my little boy and he loves them so much. I’m sad to leave and will always remember Devonshire Day Nursery (Chiswick) with so much love and happiness! It’s the best nursery I could ever have imagined for my son. We are so grateful for the amazing team working there.

Ultimately, the miscommunication and constant worry about what was really going on, who was looking after her and why she kept having accidents were too much and we moved her to another local nursery where we have had no issues. Not bad, but not good enough.

My son started going to the Devonshire Day Nursery in Chiswick last September. This nursery is absolutely brilliant and I could not imagine finding a better place for my child. Our key person, is a godsend. My son loves going to the nursery and always leaves this place in a fantastic mood. We regularly receive updates on his progress and photos from his day. The food is very healthy and the kids learn a lot through playing. Great place, great staff and a wonderful environment for the children.

I cannot imagine a better nursery. Handing over my firstborn to a nursery was both scary and emotionally difficult. But the wonderful team of the Devonshire Nursery took from day 1 excellent care of my son and helped him to integrate in no time. My child comes home happy and learns so much every day. The food is very healthy and the place is very clean. I regularly receive updates through an app and have the chance to speak to his key person anytime. All in all, it is a fantastic nursery with very friendly and professional staff and with very happy children. Highly recommendable!

The staff are welcoming and professional. Settling in during a time when we cannot enter nursery was a little nervewracking but the staff were so attuned to my child's needs that I was immediately put at ease. My child eats nourishing healthy meals and I am so happy she is settling in well in such a caring and nurturing environment. Her communication has improved so much thanks to the effective learning and communication via a parent app helps me follow her progress. The outdoor play area is my child's favourite - it's fantastic with lots for her to climb and explore. Finally, email communication and newsletters are very excellent and detailed. A happy mum here!

My daughter is growing up to be a confident young lady thanks in part to the great work that the nursery is doing and during the pandemic, they are taking time to keep the parents informed into everything they are doing and all the precautions that are in place.

My daughter has always been a clingy child. It took us 3 weeks for her to settle in properly but after that she changed to a different child. Now she runs to the nursery's front door and grabs the manager's hand and go inside without looking behind. I feel useless now hahaha. Every day at pickup time her key worker mentions how my daughter makes the most of her day, she became a chatterbox and doesn't stop a single minute. The key worker must be exhausted, bless her! All of these are very good signs this is a lovely place. We had a completely different and awful experience with my son in other places so knowing my daughter is thriving at Devonshire Day Nursery makes my life a breeze.

I have always had a very positive experience at Devonshire. The staff are so engaged and feel like ab extension of our family.

My child is very happy here, she has made lots of friends and has learned a lot. She looks forward to coming in. I am always impressed by the range and variety of creative and engaging activities that are provided for her during the day, there is something new every day. The staff are caring and hardworking and my daughter is very attached to them. The food is excellent a varied and interesting menu.

Our child has been very happy from day one. She learned so many new things in this nursery we certainly couldn't have taught. Staff are always very friendly, positive and engaged. Our daughter has a safe place to grow up beside her home and that makes us very confident to do the right thing. Thank you Devonshire team for being such excellent carers and friends to our children.
