My daughter started her placement at Crofton Nursery about two years ago. She was the first of our three children to go to a nursery, as previously had used childminders, so naturally, we were nervous about the change. However, we were very pleased with the outcome. Initially, the first few weeks were
filled with crying and sad faces at drop off, but this very quickly turned into 'Bye Dad' and running off into the room with a smiley face. This was only made possible by the fun, comforting and happy environment my daughter found herself in. I was surprised by how quickly the staff built personal relationships with my daughter when they have other children to look after. Her social skills have developed significantly and her confidence is noticeable. Two years on, my daughter now gets upset when I DONT take her to nursery. She is a toddler, so right now, it's about her being comfortable and happy. Crofton delivers on that perfectly.

My son started at Crofton Day Care when he was 9 months old and he is now 22 months. He's loved going in each morning, greeting the carers, giving them a cuddle and seeing his friends. We have seen such a big change in him - being social, eating independently, and even starting to potty train! All credit
to the lovely carers in both the baby and toddler rooms, who engage with the child individually and understand their unique personality. I had to give up his place with a heavy heart as I am off work now, but he looks forward to going back sometime in the future. I would highly recommend this nursery to any parent.

The best thing about this nursery is the staff, they are all fantastic, incredibly caring and genuinely want to help the children and keep them smiling. All members of staff make the effort to get to know the children and parents even if not in their rooms and it’s lovely to see the interactions in
the corridors at pick up.
Both my daughters attend and love it, they talk about members of staff all the time, from those in their rooms to those in the office and kitchen. It’s a lovely family environment and you can tell that the staff work very well together.
I have every confidence that my daughters are happy and supported and I don’t need to worry about them during the day.
I would 100% recommend this nursery and its amazing staff.

My children were at this nursery for a total of 3 years and I was very disappointed with it. They are charging a premium price for an adequate service, unfortunately, due to the demand in the area they are able to get away with this.


Key Issues:
* Failed to take the kids out into the garden (I

raised this as an issue several times, addressed initially then reverted back)
* Pre-school, I personally feel that the teaching within this room was limited.
* Only additional class - tots sports which is only once every two weeks (again I would expect more for the cost, for example, a language class).
* Seemed to use internet on the smart screen in the class a lot in pre-school.
* Lack of parents evenings.
* Some really good staff, but others were not very good.
* Although not big issues they are not providing the exceptional service you may expect from the fees which we are charged.

My son has been here since he was 7 months old. He has absolutely loved every day and enjoyed all that this nursery has offered. The girls who work here are superb and absolutely adores them. He has come on in leaps and bounds and those 4 years have gone by too fast.


The food is really good (for

vegetarians) and the day to day play and learning here is outstanding. Will definitely be putting our second in here too.

My eldest daughter attended the nursery up until she went to school last year. I was, therefore, very comfortable to let my youngest daughter attend the same nursery. I know the staff well and it is a very friendly environment, so I feel my child will be well looked after and safe there. They have a

Our 2nd child is now halfway through the nursery years. Our 1st and 2nd child both attended Crofton nursery and they both improved in many ways, thanks to the lovely staff at Crofton.
Their social skills, speech, learning, growing up skills and friendly manner have gone a long way and developed well,
without the wonderful staff, they may not have been as advanced.

We have had a great time at the nursery. The girls have done a superb job settling in our 10-month-old. They picked up on his habits very quickly and have done everything to make him feel comfortable - from food, eating habits, naps, through to toys and comfort items. We deal with the same staff every
day, which makes us feel that we know the caregivers very well and that they know our child very well in return. The staff keeps us informed about daily activities, new skills and any mishaps and we feel very involved in our child's development.

My daughter is currently in her 4th year of attending Crofton Day Nursery and pre-school. She looks forward to going each day and quite often does not want to leave. As she attends full time 5 days a week it is important to know that she is well looked after as well as learning and developing. I can
see now she has blossomed in the recent few months that she is getting the care and support that she needs. She has recently very much enjoyed learning about healthy eating, maths and science. Given that she is one of the eldest of her peers it is important to know she is being prepared for 'big school'

My son started at Crofton when he was 11 months old and has gone from strength to strength. This is thanks to all the fantastic staff in the baby room, toddler room and throughout the nursery. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly and takes the time to talk to me about my son's development and what
he has been up to that day. He loves going to nursery so much that he gets really excited when we arrive and doesn't want to leave at pick up.


The team in the office have also been a great support and I've really enjoyed getting to know them as well as the carers in my son's rooms. I am very happy dropping my son off in the morning knowing that he is loved, well cared for and will be having a lovely day with all his friends and learning new skills. I highly recommend Crofton nursery!

Our three year old has been attending the nursery since he was 13 months old and our newborn will also attend when he reaches a year old. We have always found the nursery staff to be interested, involved and caring for our child. He has additional needs and the staff work well with his specialist support
worker to accommodate his needs and understand how to best communicate with him. We would have no hesitation in recommending the nursery to others.

We have two boys at Crofton, one in preschool and one in the toddler room. Each started in the baby room. The care that both of the boys receive is exceptional. The staff are kind, caring and genuinely want to be involved in their development. Many of the staff have been at Crofton since before we started
there and so we have received continuous care which has been great. Both boys had the same key person in the baby room and we were able to choose a key worker when our little one moved up to toddler room based on our previous experience. In addition, having 2 boys in the same place has been great - they often get to spend time together. The manager has been the manager there for around the last year and she “gets it”. The priority is making sure the children are happy and cared for correctly and we often see her getting involved in the rooms and taking the time to get to know both children and parents. This attitude is reflected fully throughout the wider team. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Crofton.

Every morning my little lady wakes and asks if its a nursery day. She is more than eager to go to nursery see her friends and will often talk about not only other children but members of staff. Her knowledge of numbers, colours and shapes have come on leaps and bounds.


She enjoys the garden developing

a sense of risk-taking but with support from the carers. We have recently been invited to Crofton's children Christmas party which is on a Saturday which is great as this means both myself and my partner can attend without having to take time off work.

My daughter joined the nursery in the baby room at twelve months. She went through to preschool and during this time her development here has been outstanding. The key worker always met us with a smile and gave very useful information regarding her days' activities. She developed a bond with a particular
member of staff and my daughter could not wait to see her every day, this combined with everyone always meeting her with a smile and cuddle, made me more than happy to go on to work knowing she was happy and being well cared for. The nursery has a great and varied menu and so my daughter tried many different foods here and as such has an excellent attitude to food. The nursery has helped to develop a confident happy little girl and for that, I will always be thankful.
I would also like to say how much we enjoyed graduation! My daughter loved it so much and still talks about it now.
We shall miss you all.

My son started in the baby room aged 7 months and I was met with friendly and professional staff from the outset. My first dealings were with a particular member of staff who became his key worker and she has been a wonderful person to get to know. She has always been extremely warm and loving towards
my son and greeted me and my husband with useful information, key updates and a genuine enthusiasm for what my son has been doing.


All the staff in the baby room have been superb and have gone the extra mile to integrate our boy into the nursery.


I'd definitely recommend the nursery for young babies. It is great for their social confidence and development as well as flexibility for parents.

Staff are friendly, my child is happy and their development is fantastic. I love Crofton Day Nursery and Pre-School and will happily recommend to friends. It is obvious that the staff really care about the kids. We'll walk in the corridor and teachers from other classes will great my child by name.
My little one belongs and is happy to be dropped off each morning.

My son started at Crofton at 2 yrs old and to say this nursery made a difference to our lives is an understatement.
From his early years when we were concerned about his settling in, they were reassuring and patient with us. Over the two years, he was diagnosed with autism and the nursery were a massive
support to us. They adapted to our child's needs and nothing seemed too much trouble. They celebrated his successes with us and helped him every step of the way, all the while becoming what I would consider friends to me.
Other parents with special needs children used to tell me of the difficulties they had had with some care providers but Crofton managed to support our son's special needs whilst making him "just one of the gang".
It made a huge difference to us and we are really grateful

We have been highly impressed with Asquith Crofton Day Nursery and Pre-School. As a same sex family, we were pleasantly surprised with how sensitively the staff at the nursery have worked with us to ensure that our son has settled in well and that his every need has been met.
In particular, we were
very touched by how the staff handled occasions like mothers day and fathers day. They were even proactive to procure books on different families to sensitise the other children.
Our son has thrived here and we believe that a big credit goes to all the staff, teaching and non-teaching who have shown so much care and interest in his well being.
We have no hesitation in recommending this nursery.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

I have many years of experience working in childcare and have always been inspired by children, In 2015 I started working as bank staff and worked my way through the ranks eventually becoming a Nursery Manager in 2022. I enjoyed my time working as a baby room nursery nurse and built most of my experience working as preschool room lead, I was supporting children with SEND and also took on the role of being health and safety rep for my nursery. This helped build the confidence and motivation to drive me to the management level.


Although originally from a retail background, I have always been interested in early years education. I trained initially in college and built up experience through childminding and after-school clubs before starting full-time in a nursery.


I am passionate about creating quality environments for children and supportive communities within nursery life for children, parents and staff. I aspire to ensure all children thrive and have fun learning and developing. I have since become a mother in 2021 which has shown me just how valuable these early years are for children’s learning and development.

I have worked in the childcare industry since 2016 and during this time I have taken part in many training courses to upskill myself and to provide me with the knowledge that I need to be a great practitioner and to lead a team of amazing people.


I joined Bright Horizons in June 2022 and enjoy working with a company that cares so much for the staff and the families in our care.


I began my childcare career as an apprentice working towards my Level 2 NVQ and have progressed over the years to my current position as Deputy Manager and SENCO at Crofton Bright Horizons. I have experience working with children of all ages, including those with additional needs and enjoy providing continuous change and improvement to all areas of the nursery to provide and encourage the best outcomes for all of our children.
