We have been with the nursery for three years, and we love it! The staff is professional and responsible. We have had mainly the same carers for all the three years - which is great for little children who get very attached to people. All staff take their work seriously and show genuine attachment to the children. Quality of learning, for children of all ages, is brilliant. Extra activities are fun. Food is delicious and healthy. Our child can't wait for Monday so that he gets to go back to the nursery.
The staff and management are wonderful. We were especially impressed by the low turnover, with many members having been there throughout our daughters' stay. Our children all bonded with all their carers and we always knew that they were all in great hands during their time there. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Crofton Day Nursery and Preschool.
The nursery has been very supportive of me too and gone above and beyond to help during difficult circumstances. It’s a lovely nursery; I’d definitely recommend it.
My daughter started her placement at Crofton Nursery about two years ago. She was the first of our three children to go to a nursery, as previously had used childminders, so naturally, we were nervous about the change. However, we were very pleased with the outcome. Initially, the first few weeks were filled with crying and sad faces at drop off, but this very quickly turned into 'Bye Dad' and running off into the room with a smiley face. This was only made possible by the fun, comforting and happy environment my daughter found herself in. I was surprised by how quickly the staff built personal relationships with my daughter when they have other children to look after. Her social skills have developed significantly and her confidence is noticeable. Two years on, my daughter now gets upset when I DONT take her to nursery. She is a toddler, so right now, it's about her being comfortable and happy. Crofton delivers on that perfectly.
My son started at Crofton Day Care when he was 9 months old and he is now 22 months. He's loved going in each morning, greeting the carers, giving them a cuddle and seeing his friends. We have seen such a big change in him - being social, eating independently, and even starting to potty train! All credit to the lovely carers in both the baby and toddler rooms, who engage with the child individually and understand their unique personality. I had to give up his place with a heavy heart as I am off work now, but he looks forward to going back sometime in the future. I would highly recommend this nursery to any parent.
Both my daughters attend and love it, they talk about members of staff all the time, from those in their rooms to those in the office and kitchen. It’s a lovely family environment and you can tell that the staff work very well together.
I have every confidence that my daughters are happy and supported and I don’t need to worry about them during the day.
I would 100% recommend this nursery and its amazing staff.
My children were at this nursery for a total of 3 years and I was very disappointed with it. They are charging a premium price for an adequate service, unfortunately, due to the demand in the area they are able to get away with this.
* Failed to take the kids out into the garden (I raised this as an issue several times, addressed initially then reverted back)
* Pre-school, I personally feel that the teaching within this room was limited.
* Only additional class - tots sports which is only once every two weeks (again I would expect more for the cost, for example, a language class).
* Seemed to use internet on the smart screen in the class a lot in pre-school.
* Lack of parents evenings.
* Some really good staff, but others were not very good.
* Although not big issues they are not providing the exceptional service you may expect from the fees which we are charged.
My son has been here since he was 7 months old. He has absolutely loved every day and enjoyed all that this nursery has offered. The girls who work here are superb and absolutely adores them. He has come on in leaps and bounds and those 4 years have gone by too fast.
The food is really good (for vegetarians) and the day to day play and learning here is outstanding. Will definitely be putting our second in here too.
My eldest daughter attended the nursery up until she went to school last year. I was, therefore, very comfortable to let my youngest daughter attend the same nursery. I know the staff well and it is a very friendly environment, so I feel my child will be well looked after and safe there. They have a good routine in place.
Their social skills, speech, learning, growing up skills and friendly manner have gone a long way and developed well, without the wonderful staff, they may not have been as advanced.
We have had a great time at the nursery. The girls have done a superb job settling in our 10-month-old. They picked up on his habits very quickly and have done everything to make him feel comfortable - from food, eating habits, naps, through to toys and comfort items. We deal with the same staff every day, which makes us feel that we know the caregivers very well and that they know our child very well in return. The staff keeps us informed about daily activities, new skills and any mishaps and we feel very involved in our child's development.
My daughter is currently in her 4th year of attending Crofton Day Nursery and pre-school. She looks forward to going each day and quite often does not want to leave. As she attends full time 5 days a week it is important to know that she is well looked after as well as learning and developing. I can see now she has blossomed in the recent few months that she is getting the care and support that she needs. She has recently very much enjoyed learning about healthy eating, maths and science. Given that she is one of the eldest of her peers it is important to know she is being prepared for 'big school'
My son started at Crofton when he was 11 months old and has gone from strength to strength. This is thanks to all the fantastic staff in the baby room, toddler room and throughout the nursery. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly and takes the time to talk to me about my son's development and what he has been up to that day. He loves going to nursery so much that he gets really excited when we arrive and doesn't want to leave at pick up.
The team in the office have also been a great support and I've really enjoyed getting to know them as well as the carers in my son's rooms. I am very happy dropping my son off in the morning knowing that he is loved, well cared for and will be having a lovely day with all his friends and learning new skills. I highly recommend Crofton nursery!
Our three year old has been attending the nursery since he was 13 months old and our newborn will also attend when he reaches a year old. We have always found the nursery staff to be interested, involved and caring for our child. He has additional needs and the staff work well with his specialist support worker to accommodate his needs and understand how to best communicate with him. We would have no hesitation in recommending the nursery to others.
We have two boys at Crofton, one in preschool and one in the toddler room. Each started in the baby room. The care that both of the boys receive is exceptional. The staff are kind, caring and genuinely want to be involved in their development. Many of the staff have been at Crofton since before we started there and so we have received continuous care which has been great. Both boys had the same key person in the baby room and we were able to choose a key worker when our little one moved up to toddler room based on our previous experience. In addition, having 2 boys in the same place has been great - they often get to spend time together. The manager has been the manager there for around the last year and she “gets it”. The priority is making sure the children are happy and cared for correctly and we often see her getting involved in the rooms and taking the time to get to know both children and parents. This attitude is reflected fully throughout the wider team. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Crofton.
My son loves being at the nursery and it is really helping him to develop all his skills. I am also happy with the staff who keep me informed and updated.
Every morning my little lady wakes and asks if its a nursery day. She is more than eager to go to nursery see her friends and will often talk about not only other children but members of staff. Her knowledge of numbers, colours and shapes have come on leaps and bounds.
She enjoys the garden developing a sense of risk-taking but with support from the carers. We have recently been invited to Crofton's children Christmas party which is on a Saturday which is great as this means both myself and my partner can attend without having to take time off work.
I would also like to say how much we enjoyed graduation! My daughter loved it so much and still talks about it now.
We shall miss you all.
My son started in the baby room aged 7 months and I was met with friendly and professional staff from the outset. My first dealings were with a particular member of staff who became his key worker and she has been a wonderful person to get to know. She has always been extremely warm and loving towards my son and greeted me and my husband with useful information, key updates and a genuine enthusiasm for what my son has been doing.
All the staff in the baby room have been superb and have gone the extra mile to integrate our boy into the nursery.
I'd definitely recommend the nursery for young babies. It is great for their social confidence and development as well as flexibility for parents.
Staff are friendly, my child is happy and their development is fantastic. I love Crofton Day Nursery and Pre-School and will happily recommend to friends. It is obvious that the staff really care about the kids. We'll walk in the corridor and teachers from other classes will great my child by name. My little one belongs and is happy to be dropped off each morning.

Meet the Team (2)
I have many years of experience working in childcare and have always been inspired by children, In 2015 I started working as bank staff and worked my way through the ranks eventually becoming a Nursery Manager in 2022. I enjoyed my time working as a baby room nursery nurse and built most of my experience working as preschool room lead, I was supporting children with SEND and also took on the role of being health and safety rep for my nursery. This helped build the confidence and motivation to drive me to the management level.
Although originally from a retail background, I have always been interested in early years education. I trained initially in college and built up experience through childminding and after-school clubs before starting full-time in a nursery.
I am passionate about creating quality environments for children and supportive communities within nursery life for children, parents and staff. I aspire to ensure all children thrive and have fun learning and developing. I have since become a mother in 2021 which has shown me just how valuable these early years are for children’s learning and development.
I have worked in the childcare industry since 2016 and during this time I have taken part in many training courses to upskill myself and to provide me with the knowledge that I need to be a great practitioner and to lead a team of amazing people.
I joined Bright Horizons in June 2022 and enjoy working with a company that cares so much for the staff and the families in our care.
I began my childcare career as an apprentice working towards my Level 2 NVQ and have progressed over the years to my current position as Deputy Manager and SENCO at Crofton Bright Horizons. I have experience working with children of all ages, including those with additional needs and enjoy providing continuous change and improvement to all areas of the nursery to provide and encourage the best outcomes for all of our children.
