Our son loves his time at Bright Horizons Crofton Day Nursery and Preschool, having started there when he was just over a year old.
Five months later and he babbles enthusiastically about his key worker and nursery friends and he enjoys showing off his new skills.
The nursery is excellent at keeping
us informed of goings on through the app and of any mishaps over the phone.
They have managed his transition to the toddler room well, which is reassuring. Both areas and the outside roof terrace are bright, airy and well-appointed.

My little boy has been at Bright Horizons Crofton Day Nursery and Preschool since November, the staff in the baby room are so lovely, they helped settle him so much he now loves going to nursery. The daily updates through the app are excellent and the posts and pictures are such a lovely insight to
his nursery day.

My husband and I could not be happier with this nursery. Both my girls settled in really quickly and have been happy ever since. The staff are really caring and passionate in what they do. When we arrived, our 3.5-year-old was not potty trained and was very anxious about it. Her key worker was so patient,
kind, supportive and helpful in the whole process to all of us. She was potty trained three months later. They have a very positive approach to discipline which we love. My youngest has been thriving in the baby room. Both my kids have formed wonderful bonds with their key workers and other staff. They both often forget to say bye to us when we drop them off because they are so excited to be there.

We moved to the nursery in October 2023 and very happy with the decision. All the staff are very caring and their main focus is to keep the child happy and engaged.
All the activities are carefully planned to increase the focus and learning.

All the staff have been incredibly supportive in transitioning my child from nursery to preschool. They always provide lots of information about what my child has done throughout the day, both a mixture of tasks but also commenting on her emotional well-being and development. All the staff have also
supported us, as a family, and with expected arrival of new sibling. It feels very heartwarming to be part of a lovely community.

I’m very impressed with the way the nursery staff have been with my son since the first time he came for backup care at a few months of age. He was a very happy baby then and he is a very happy toddler now that he is in full-time.
Staff have been in constant communication with me throughout, to both
understand his specific needs and to keep me up to date on availability and pricing of sessions.

My son goes to the nursery twice a week and always enjoys his time there. The nursery is well looked after and in a good location for the area. The staff are always cheerful and happy to help with any issues you may have. If I have any issues the management team are always ready to listen and sort it
or provide assistance. My son has a key worker who is always attentive to his needs. The


A key point for sending him to the nursery was the app, which is updated throughout the day with information and photos of his daily activities.


The nursery has a nice outside play area. The rooms in the nursery are well equipped with plenty of activities for the children to learn key skills.

We only joined last month as our previous nursery was failing in its duty of care.
We should have chosen this nursery years ago! The manager and staff go above and beyond to make my son feel happy, welcome and settled.
Within a few weeks, he has learned more than in a full year of preschool somewhere
else.
Staff are caring, loving and have an eye for detail.
The daily updates, the feedback and the individual time spent per child is remarkable.
With only a month to go before reception, I genuinely wish I’d moved my son here earlier.

My daughter started going to the preschool in this nursery from January after spending more than 3 years in another Bright Horizons nursery. The staff has been very good to get her settled and overall she is very happy in the new setting with all the carers and the activities she does.

Our children love going to Bright Horizons Crofton Day Nursery and Preschool and always come home in bouncy, happy moods. They had a rocky start due to the COVID pandemic, management issues and closure because of storm damage, all of which meant they struggled to settle in. But since then the new management
is a massive improvement, staff are great and keyworkers very attentive and proactive, and as a result our children are really thriving. We've been impressed with approaches to tricky things like language delay and potty training - they've been a huge help in supporting what we're doing at home.

My son has been at Bright Horizons, Crofton Day Nursery, Orpington, for two years and he loves going in every morning. The staff are very friendly and have great children experience. We have been given great feedback regarding eating habits, toilet training and playtimes, what he finds interesting etc.

My son has been going to Bright Horizons Crofton Day Nursery and Preschool for quite a while now, he loves playing with the other children and he is quite attached to his room leader, his key worker and his second key worker, which makes me feel at ease knowing he feels safe at nursery. He now goes
in without crying and I have seen him play in his room with the teachers, other children and he loves it. We didn’t get off to a great start, I had to make a few complaints about regular nappy changes and making sure they were done properly. I also had to mention about parent logins and invoices which were admin queries. Finally, not actually being shown round the nursery fully or properly was another issue but the manager has now fully sorted this and I am more than happy to keep my child there until he is ready for school. We loved this nursery back when our oldest child started there but in the last two years, we feel that the standards (especially communication) are poor. Emails take an age to be responded to and a lot of the time have multiple errors!

Our son has been at the nursery for eighteen months now and absolutely loves it. He has formed such a special bond with the staff and the other children and is excited to go to nursery in the morning. Job Title: Nursery Manager

I have many years of experience working in childcare and have always been inspired by children, In 2015 I started working as bank staff and worked my way through the ranks eventually becoming a Nursery Manager in 2022. I enjoyed my time working as a baby room nursery nurse and built most of my experience working as preschool room lead, I was supporting children with SEND and also took on the role of being health and safety rep for my nursery. This helped build the confidence and motivation to drive me to the management level.


Although originally from a retail background, I have always been interested in early years education. I trained initially in college and built up experience through childminding and after-school clubs before starting full-time in a nursery.


I am passionate about creating quality environments for children and supportive communities within nursery life for children, parents and staff. I aspire to ensure all children thrive and have fun learning and developing. I have since become a mother in 2021 which has shown me just how valuable these early years are for children’s learning and development.

I have worked in the childcare industry since 2016 and during this time I have taken part in many training courses to upskill myself and to provide me with the knowledge that I need to be a great practitioner and to lead a team of amazing people.


I joined Bright Horizons in June 2022 and enjoy working with a company that cares so much for the staff and the families in our care.


I began my childcare career as an apprentice working towards my Level 2 NVQ and have progressed over the years to my current position as Deputy Manager and SENCO at Crofton Bright Horizons. I have experience working with children of all ages, including those with additional needs and enjoy providing continuous change and improvement to all areas of the nursery to provide and encourage the best outcomes for all of our children.
