I have been delighted with Toad Hall and the excellent service provided. In the year and a half my son has been attending, I have watched him blossom and it's highly due to the excellent staff and nurturing environment provided. Management are accommodating and involved, the staff are capable and mature (whilst being a lot of fun) and the overall environment is safe, clean and welcoming. I can't rate it highly enough.

Excellent nursery in any way you want to describe it. They have refurbished it with new toys and furniture and rugs and new learning things. Staff are excellent. My little girl loves it there and she enjoys this safe delightful nursery very much. Hopefully it will get an outstanding achievement by Ofsted report.

Staff very friendly, always helpful and seem to care about each of the children. My daughter and nieces love coming to the nursery. The range of activities for the pre-school children is great - especially Sparkles and Football coach which my daughter adores.

Our son has attended Toad Hall for 3 years and our daughter for 5 months. Both children are happy and enjoy attending. They now have great staff in place and fun structured activities. Friendly and welcoming.

My son has been at Toad hall bridge road for 18 months, for a majority of that time we have been happy. The staff have been warm and welcoming and mother-like to him. Hes now moved into pre school and the nursery has been involved with many changes of management and staff, during the changes we struggled as a family, though we are now pleased to say that the nursery is better than ever. The staff are professional and experienced, they are working hard to catch up and make the nursery the place we all want all our kids to go. Thanks team.

I would like to see sun shades and mandatory hats outside, and a effort to use alternative or no sweeteners in the children's food.

Overall Experience

My daughter has been at Toad Hall for just over a year. She loves being at Nursery and I have always felt that she has been well cared for and well fed, despite the large turnover of staff, which has been a problem. Since the new management took over in the summer, things are becoming more stable and there has been much more encouragement for parents to get involved with the Nursery. The recent EYFS evening for parents was a great opportunity for us to see some of the learning activities the children do (and experience them ourselves - I will never look at cornflour in the same way again!!). Since moving into the next group, my daughter's learning has developed massively in a short space of time, and I think this is mainly down to the learning activities the nursery offers, but also partly because they provide opportunities for her to mix with older children. We are happy with the Nursery and hope that the current staff will stay!

Great nursery for both older and younger children. Both my daughters look forward to attending nursery and they are very well looked after. The staff are great and provide detailed feedback at the end of every session.

Since new management has begun there has been a great effort to improve the nursery. They are struggling to find full time replacement for a key staff member who has left. Not sure if it is an industry shortage of good staff, or a problem with the nursery. I am pleased to know that they are looking for the 'right person' not just anyone.
