Buttercups Ealing, conveniently located near Ealing station, provides quality day care to children. Located in an elegant Victorian building, each age group has their own dedicated room, with preschool children enjoying the whole top floor with Montessori classrooms. All children have plenty of time outdoors in the huge garden with a Forest School area, lots of equipment and a vegetable garden. Buttercups are committed to supporting their team of practitioners, ensuring they feel rewarded and challenged throughout their roles. They provide continuous opportunities for staff to develop their skills and qualifications through in-house training programmes and external courses as they believe a happy team results in happy children.

If you'd like to see the nursery for a tour, please get in touch today - the team look forward to meeting you.

Fantastic nursery - my child is truly thriving at Buttercups. When I drop him off in the morning, I never worry because I know he is in safe hands. He is happy, learning every day, and enjoys so many wonderful activities. The care and support from the team are exceptional. It really feels like a home
away from home - if not even better! Thank you so much!

Our daughter has been attending the nursery since November 2024, and from day one we have seen a noticeable improvement in her development. The staff are incredibly kind and caring, showing commitment to her wellbeing and growth. The environment is welcoming and nurturing, which gives us a great peace
of mind.
The food provided is healthy, and children are encouraged to learn how to eat independently.
Thank you to everyone at the nursery for making it so much easier to leave our daughter in such caring hands every morning.

It's now been a year with my son attending Buttercups Ealing and I feel so lucky to have found a nursery where he is so happy, well cared for and thriving- thank you to all the staff in Lillies! He's now moved into Poppies and the staff are again all exceptional! We look forward to sending our second
son later in the year and I am sure will also be a fantastic experience!

Our daughter has been at Buttercups since January 2024, shortly before her 1st birthday. She loves it there, is developing really well, and is starting to make good friendships. The staff are kind, caring and very good at encouraging the children's development. We couldn't be happier with our choice
of nursery.

It was an important transition for our family sending our baby to nursery. The team here understood that and now we feel so comfortable with all the team there. Our little one seems to love going, is excited and happy. The staff are so caring, kind and really do consider each child's individual character
and needs.

Our son has been at Buttercups Ealing Broadway for almost 2 years, having transferred from another Buttercups nursery where he was from about 19 months old. He is now ready to start Reception in September. Buttercups Ealing have been amazing. The effort the staff go to, to keep the children engaged
and entertained is amazing. Always doing different activities, trips, and parties and occassions. There is a real sense of family and caring at the nursery. Our son has received so much love from the staff. The garden is very big and has so many things to do including forest school. We will be thankful to you all forever.
And will miss you.

The level of care and support our son receives at Buttercups is great. He is always happy to go and they are always engaged with so many activities.
He also loves going out to the garden and exploring the forest area and the allotment.

My 14-month old daughter started at the nursery a month ago and she is really happy. I was nervous about her starting nursery full time and how she would adapt, but the staff are so attentive and friendly that she settled in quickly. There are so many activities and events that I always feel like she's
had a busy day full of new experiences. I feel lucky to have a place at the nursery - it feels like a 'home away from home' for our daughter.

We are so lucky that our children have been able to attend Ealing Buttercups. Both of our children settled in immediately, and have always been incredibly happy to attend. With an older child now in the preschool, I can really see how the nursery takes care with teaching, both in educational and emotional
terms, and they are really equipping her with the skills to transition smoothly to school when the time comes. Our younger child also loves the baby room and it's such a relief knowing that I am leaving them both in such excellent hands. I have no doubts that they're both well cared for and nurtured.

Excellent feed back and comments from his key worker also asked our opinions and inputs to what we what to achieve with our son and was very excited to implement them with us as a team!! They seemed to care about his development just as much as us as parents which is nice to know he's not just another
child to them.

Great nursery what can I say. My son has been at this nursery for just under two years and Im incredibly happy with the nursery, the team and all the things they do with the kids.
The food appears to be top notch, the teaching (yeah teaching!) is awesome, my son regularly comes home telling us about
things he's learnt (currently its on birds - he likes Sparrows) and the nursery regularly take them out on trips, sports day and so on..
Management and staff are lovely, really welcoming and to be honest I really cant find any faults in the nursery!
They even invite the parents in for pre Christmas lunches and mothers/fathers day tea and cake sessions..
Awesome

Great place for my child's development with teachers taking an active interest in your child's development through fun activities such as visits to the park for bird spotting or visits to a supermarket to teach kids about shopping and money. Cannot recommend Buttercups Ealing enough.

My daughter has been attending the nursery for 8mths, starting when she was 1yrs old. I am extremely satisfied with the care and attention received. Each day I leave my daughter I feel she is safe and I do not have any worries as the staff are extremely trustworthy and display such a nurturing attitude
towards the children in their care. I receive great feedback at the end of each session. I have had nothing but an amazing positive experience with this provision.

Buttercups is an outstanding nursery with an excellent approach to learning and caring for my daughter who is almost two.
What's brilliant about the nursery? The staff are attentive, kind and very well trained in providing care for young children. The nursery management is thoughtful and staff focus
on the right areas. We've been provided with helpful ideas that enable us to support our daughter outside of the nursery (for example, creative play ideas). Every day we briefly meet with a member of staff to discuss our daughter's day. Even though they must be very busy, I never feel rushed and the feedback we get is specific and thoughtful. There isn't an overreliance on technology which would take the focus away from the children.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.901) out of 10 for Buttercups at Ealing is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 28 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 28 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.901 for Buttercups at Ealing is calculated as follows: ( (304 Excellents x 5) + (27 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 334 Ratings = 4.901
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Buttercups at Ealing is based on 28 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 number of registered child places is 12, which has been reached with 28 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
