From the manager to the apprentices theses staff are just one of the many that makes Brightsparks the best nursery. My 2 girls aged 3 and 1 both attend Brightsparks and clearly every time I collect them they're always excited to return! There is one who is one of the best baby nursery teachers. She
treats all her babies with TLC and is always cheerful whenever I collect my child. They are always informative and are always talking about the fun day at nursery. I never thought that I would find a caring and educational nursery like Brightsparks. I highly recommend this facility.

I highly recommend Bright Sparks in Purley for it's first class service in wraparound childcare.

I researched and visited all nurseries within 3 miles radius of our home to find a place that will provide good care for my baby. The differences are hugh in terms of staff, facility and what's on offer.

My babies has been there since July and very happy. I have summaries what I love about this nursery below:

1. Staff - very friendly, motivated and professional. Strong management, regular team meetings to discuss issues and brain storming for new ideas. Warm morning greetings from everyone even those not working in his room;
2. Location and facility - plenty of parking spaces outside and near the premise. Unlike most nurseries, there is nature ventilation which helps to eliminate diseases in winter. Safe garden area for the little ones to explore. Rooms are airy and spacious with designated areas for play, eat and sleep;
3. Food - good variety of foods on offer which alternates weekly. 100% organic for babies and 50% for toddlers;
4. Activities - Staff work very hard to come up with different themes each week to help them learn through play. There are also additional activities from external suppliers such as leaps and bounds;
5. Communication - I love the weekly emails covering aspects of children's activities and planning for the following week. It really helps me to get to know more about what my little is up to in nursery and facilitate any learning at home. The diary book provides clear information on food intake, nappy change and daily activity. The newly introduced 'what have I done at weekend' book is also a nice touch;
6. Daily routine - Structured routine which I really like. My little one now knows to help to clear up when I say tidy up. There are bibs and waterproof trousers for each child which is very thoughtful.

I have recommended this nursery to all my friends and have no hesitation to say it's the best nursery in my area!

Our daughter has attended Brightsparks Day Nursery Purley since January 2015 and in that time we have been very happy with the nursery. The mix of children, broad range of activities and attentive staff meant our daughter settled quickly which was a great relief to us. There have also been open days,
sports days and charity events which have been a good way for us to meet the staff and become further involved. Communication is also good, with weekly emails sent out to parents regarding forthcoming events and activities and daily reports keeping us further informed. Finally staff continuity is good as well; our daughter has had the same two staff looking after her since starting. All in all very pleased indeed.

The staff here are brilliant, both our boys have been through this nursery and the care they have and currently are having is outstanding!

I have recommended Brightsparks to 2 of my friends who have both placed their children there and are also very impressed with the nursery.

I wouldn't hesitate

to recommend them again.

My son loves going to nursery, he has progressed so much in the time he has been going. He gets on very well with all the staff and has made so many friends. I know that when I leave him he's is getting the best care and o don't have to worry at all.

  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 27 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.873 for Brightsparks Day Nursery, Purley is calculated as follows: ( (283 Excellents x 5) + (39 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 323 Ratings = 4.873
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Brightsparks Day Nursery, Purley is based on 27 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 number of registered child places is 12, which has been reached with 27 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
