Welcome to Bexleyheath Day Nursery and Preschool, where dedicated staff are committed to providing the best care and early education for children aged 3 months to 5 years. The nursery in Bexleyheath benefits from excellent transport links. Located close to Bexleyheath station and North Greenwich tube and 5 minutes from Bexleyheath town centre. In addition, their nursery has an onsite car park for drop-offs and buggy storage area and a holiday club.        

With a beautiful garden, which includes four dedicated areas for each of the age groups, the children enjoy free-flow access from their classrooms and have access to a wide range of activities and resources to support their development while having lots of fun. They are fortunate to have their very own chickens, which the children adore making friends with, and a qualified sports coach runs regular sports lessons to encourage a love for physical activity.

In addition, they offer Boogie mites an interactive music and movement session, which is loved by children of all ages and provides exciting opportunities to learn about the world through music and song; and while your child is busy exploring and having fun, they can keep you updated via the Family app. Available for all Bright Horizons parents, this will keep you connected with your child's day-to-day experiences and up to date as they develop during their time at the nursery.

When my son first started he didn't settle well and the staff were great at making the process as easy as it could be. They were supportive of both us, as parents and my son. Now his confidence has grown so much and he has achieved lots and developed so well. Both my sons now attend and both enjoy the
nursery and look forward to coming each week.

A wonderful nursery which has cared for and supported our daughter's development over several years. The staff have always shown a genuine connection with our daughter and looked after her best interests whilst in their care. The management are well organised and have worked well to keep things running
throughout the pandemic and ensured that the standards of childcare didn't suffer as a result.

Since our son joined Bright Horizons after lockdown, he has come on leaps and bounds, thanks to the staff. They are welcoming and encouraging, kind and giving. The environment at the nursery is wonderful. They promote kindness, positive values and excellent learning. The ensuite kitchen staff put together
an excellent, broad and accommodating menu across the week. The set-up is great, both inside and outside. Our son loves talking about the educational activities he's been taking part in each morning. Highly recommend!

The staff here are fantastic. Their care and affection for the children is genuine. I have appreciated the improved communication since the introduction of the app, though still would appreciate nursery activities we can continue at home or areas of learning that we could build on. Thank you though

One child has just graduated after being here since 10 months old. His learning and development have been brilliant and excels in all aspects. Having had our firstborn attend this nursery, it was always going to be Bright Horizons Bexleyheath again for our second child. Fantastic work was done to help our little girl settle in and the administrative aspects of organising everything was seamless. Everyone has been so welcoming and coming to
say hi, how are we, it feels like an extended family. As a mummy, I was nervous about how this would have worked given covid restrictions etc and a child who has hardly had the chance to engage with other children and adults due to covid. BUT, the settling in sessions has been amazing in supporting her. I have found the class keyworker to be so friendly, warm and attentive that my heart is assured that she is well looked after. Evidence of this is that she smiles when she talks about the nursery, wakes up asking if she is going to nursery and say Yes whenever you ask if she likes nursery and wants to go back. So, thank you to everyone, you are amazing.

My grandson started at Bright Horizons aged 7 months and left age four and a half years. He has always been happy to go to nursery. The care he received has been exceptional.
Pre-school has been great in developing his skills and preparing him for school.

My son started here at 6 months old in the baby room. The staff are exceptionally caring and very helpful with settling him in during the pandemic. My son is now 15 months old and loves nursery. His key workers are very friendly and always let me know all about his day as due to Covid you can't go inside.
He always comes home so happy!

Our child is only going to this nursery for 2.5 months. Therefore I must say it might be early days. However, would like to share honest feedback. Summary below:
+Nursery setting is lovely and spacious.
+Good set of toys (judging by the one visit we have been inside).
+ Amazing garden - was one of
the selling points to us.
- No app for daily reports - only paper filled every day with very similar info - saying this nursery announced this week they will be implementing an app shortly (yay!).
- Very limited information to us on our child activities, development etc. I left it on the account of him only going few months however with that in mind - would be great to get more communication.
- Food - no parents preferences taken into account unless the child has an allergy. We’ve asked for no custard, gravy, processed meats and refined sugar - was asked to drop my request.
- Covid is hard but should not be used as an excuse but perhaps as a reason to improve (get more digital/open etc).

Happy child, happier parents!
If there was one thing my little one missed during the lockdown, it was definitely the nursery! Hardly a day went by when she didn’t mention it or the staff members in the Rising 2-3s room. Her excitement was through the roof when we could go back again in September. She
even wakes up on the weekends asking if she can go to the ‘daycare’!
As parents, we feel it has been the best decision to send our daughter to Bright Horizons Bexleyheath. During the pandemic, the staff have been working really hard, and yet they are always so cheerful! The office staff have doubled up as chaperones to the kids, and they are so patient and kind! Kudos to them!

My daughter, after the 1st lockdown, joined the nursery and was moved to the preschool class where she has formed a beautiful bond with her key worker.
Her keyworker has been brilliant in understanding and relating to her, and I see a lot of confidence being built in her thanks to her keyworker.
Her
speech is coming along beautifully too.
Credit to all the preschool staffs, but special thanks to her main keyworker for making the whole transition so easy.

My son attended Bright Horizons, Bexleyheath since he was 1 right up until he started school this year. I have had nothing but the most positive, encouraging and reassuring experience with this provision and so much so that my other son is already enrolled to start in 2021. The staff, facilities, conduct
and professionalism is second to none, all of which I feel have contributed to developing and nurturing my son's needs and abilities. He has started school with confidence and great social skills which I believe so much has come from Bright Horizons. The staff will forever have my gratitude for the genuine time, work and effort they have put into my son and I feel nothing but reassurance for when my second child begins here. The children have fantastic facilities including a huge, accessible garden with toys, play areas and parents are updated daily with activities their children have done, how much/well they have eaten and sleeping routines. Fantastic provision and brilliantly run!

My son joined this nursery when he was 16 months old. He first started in another nursery which unfortunately wasn't good with his settling. I regret that we didn't visit this nursery at that time. My son was extremely hard to settle at first but with their love and patience, he thrived and simply loves
this nursery. This nursery is his second home as he spends 5 days there. From management to carers and kitchen, they look after your child and support them amazingly. Our son has had learning difficulties and they guide us in every aspect for our child to thrive. Kindness and support is something that you will find here and we couldn't be more happy and grateful. We can go to work in peace knowing that he is happy and growing in a healthy environment.

This is a fab nursery! The management team is great, always striving to ensure the children have the best possible environment. The garden is huge - so much space to explore! The staff are knowledgeable and attentive. My daughter started school in Sept this year and she still talks about her key worker
from when she was in the 2-3 year old room. Would definitely recommend.

My son attended Bright Horizons Nursery in Bexleyheath from the age of 1 right up until he was ready to start big school as he calls it. My wife and I both work in London and the flexibility and support they showed us as parents was excellent. The education and preparation my son received during his
time there was outstanding. He is a very friendly and easy going child who now adapts very easily to new environments, new challenges and new people, in all aspects of his life.
Time will tell the real benefits but his transition to school and interacting with his new classmates has been amazing. I had hoped for a tear on his first day from him, but sadly the only tears were ours.
The staff are amazing, so friendly, a great variety of activities are provided, varied and tasty meals provided and a very large garden at the back. My son had everything he needed and more!

I would highly recommend this nursery and preschool. My son progressed amazingly academically and socially. It has put him in good stead for Reception this year at school. The staff are kind, professional and supportive. No question is too silly and they are always there to lend a listening ear. I felt

High recommend this Nursery, I have had all 3 of my children attend over the years, now aged 18, 15 and my youngest left in August 2020. All 3 children progressed well and skipped into primary school with no concerns, worries or issues.
The current management of the Nursery, the Nursery Director supported
by the Deputy Manager is by far the best since my 18 year old attended many years ago under another person's remit. The communication is spot on, caring individually for my child spot on, accommodating parent request to support working life balance spot on.
In addition, I had no concerns when my son returned in July to Nursery in the current Covid pandemic, I felt he was safe and that staff were well briefed and informed on the new processes.
High recommend this nursery.

I have worked for Bright Horizons for 20 years, starting with Teddie's group as a nursery nurse. I progressed to Room Leader, then to Assistant Manager and Manager by 2005. I held the role of Nursery Manager for 8 years then enjoyed 2 years as Regional Manager covering the SW of London. I started working at Bright horizons Bexleyheath as Nursery Director in 2017. I have many fond memories, of working with some truly amazing and inspirational people, families and children. I feel privileged to watch children play, learn and develop. I have also enjoyed supporting staff progress professionally and continue to be inspired by the dedication and passion people demonstrate every day.

Hi, my name is Gemma, I have been a part of Bright Horizons since May 2008.


I started my journey as a part-time worker at Teddies Greenwich Day Nursery and Preschool and since then I have progressed and worked from Senior Nursery Nurse to Room Leader and Third in Charge.


I started my deputy role at Teddies and in December 2016 I took on the new challenge of starting up and opening a brand-new nursery, Greenwich Day Nursery and Preschool.


I am excited to become a part of the Bexleyheath Bright Horizons team as Deputy Manager and look forward to maintaining an outstanding nursery setting to help care, nurture and educate the children within our care.
