A loving nursery in the Centre of Hendon.

Hendon Day Nursery and Preschool is based in a large converted house in the Centre of Hendon within the London Borough of Barnet within the catchment of many schools, including St. Josephs, St. Mary’s & St. Johns, and Parkfields.

Each of the nursery rooms have been designed to be age appropriate and filled with natural resources and state-of-the-art equipment to support the education, care and development of children in the early years. The stunning adventure garden allows free-flow play all year round and includes a climbing frame, race track, water feature and soft surface for exploring the outdoors.

The nursery holds a 5* EHO rating for food safety and hygiene. The nursery's delicious, healthy and nutritious food, sourced from trusted suppliers is prepared and cooked by the nursery's own chef, catering for all dietary and religious needs with kosher food available on request. With all-inclusive fees, which means you have less to pack on a busy morning, their onsite meals are prepared with nutrition in mind. From healthy lunches and snacks to your chosen branded nappies and wipes included in the fees.

My wife found this Nursery through a google search as we wanted our child to start at six months.
We first visited to take a look at the Nursery and loved it right from the beginning. The staff were all very friendly and most importantly the children were happy and well looked after. Also, security
at the school was very good. I would not hesitate to recommend the nursery to all my friends with children.

Even from the beginning we have been treated very friendly and we were introduced into the nursery by the nursery manager. She is very amiable, friendly and nice person. My daughter is attending this nursery from July 2013 and all this time she was feeling like home, her development was ascending and
she has grown actually beside the staff from this nursery. All the staff are friendly, hard working, love their work! I definitely recommend this place!

This is a wonderful nursery. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and gentle and have really helped my vision impaired grandson settle in and look forward to going to nursery. They create a stimulating, learning environment and my grandson is coming along so well and learning new words every day.
He loves the outdoor playground too and has a couple of special friends he talks about. The nursery have welcomed the local authority vision impaired specialist and have willingly taken on board all her suggestions to help my grandsons learning. He loves the meals too and often has seconds. It is a wonderful nursery and I would highly recommend it. My first grandchild went there too over 10 years ago and it's lovely seeing many of the same staff still there. Lots of singing too.

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2019

I have been working in childcare for 11 years and after completing a BA Hons in Education, I started my first full-time role in Early Years with Asquith (now Bright Horizons) in 2012.


I have been fortunate to work across 2 Bright Horizons settings with Chesham Bois being my 3rd where I enjoyed working my way up from Nursery Nurse to Nursery Manager. I then transferred and am now the proud Nursery Manager for Bright Horizons Hendon Day Nursery and Preschool.


I continue to be very passionate about promoting the well-being and professional development of my team, ensuring we provide a high-quality and diverse learning environment for the children and their families.
