Very friendly hands on staff and great facilities. Our twin toddlers attend this nursery and are very happy there. There are always lots of activities going on so I never have to worry about them not getting enough stimulation. Since joining they have also learnt lots of new skills including how to
feed themselves and more words to their vocabulary. I would definitely recommend it!

We feel that our son thrives on going to nursery each day, which is a testament to his mentor and all staff involved in his care. The nursery provides a fun and safe environment for our son and we are able to see how much he has developed in the few months he has been there. The cot area, sensory
room and the toddler garden were all key factors in us choosing this nursery. No matter what their role all staff members know every child's name and are attentive and caring.

Excellent facilities and helpful, friendly staff.


Unlike many nearby nurseries, nearly all the staff are permanent employees, not agency staff. My daughter loves her sessions and clearly has a strong affection for the staff. They also seem genuinely fond of her.


I think all the food is organic,

which does seem unnecessary. However, everything is cooked fresh daily and my daughter seems to love the wide range of dishes served up. Great care is taken to make sure that all the dietary requirements and preferences are met.


Management really seems to listen to feedback and act quickly on it. All the kids seem happy, well attended to engaged in fun activities.


The web-portal for parent-cameras is clunky and quality of the webcams pretty poor by current standards - it can be hard to tell which kid is which if they're not close to camera, but it is great to be able to log in and see your little one, especially when they're first starting and settling into each room.

My son and daughter both attended Active Learning from under the age of one until they left for school. I do not believe they could have had a better start. The staff are enthusiastic, caring and fun. The facility has great outdoor space which was used frequently and a big pull for us and the children.
The activities, especially in the older year groups are varied and stimulating and provide a great learning base.

My 2-year-old daughter runs into the nursery with a huge smile on her face. This is a testament to the amazing staff and how much they all adore the children. Each day they do a huge array of different activities and to be honest, I'm often quite jealous of all the fun things they've been doing. As

Active Learning Crouch End is in a fantastic and unique location surrounded by green space which is used by the children here and they have emerged confident, happy and with a good level of basic education which has made the transition to school extremely easy. They have been happy, secure and well

My child is so happy at this nursery and has a real attachment to her nursery mentor. The staff are incredibly friendly and supportive.


Each day I go in and we are given feedback, but in addition, they tell me funny stories or how much they enjoy looking after my child. Each day she has undertaken

so many activities and since she has started at the nursery her development has come on leaps and bounds. There is nothing better than being able to drop my precious child off somewhere each day and know that she is being well looked after.


And the exceptional care does not just extend to those that directly look after her but everyone who works at the nursery from the office staff to the chef they all know her and can tell me about what she has been up during the day. It is this small, family-friendly atmosphere that I love so much about this nursery.

My son is just finishing his time at Active Learning Crouch End as he is about to start school. Over the last 4 years, he has had an amazing journey and has been supported in his learning by enthusiastic and professional staff. Our son has had a fantastic start to life at Active Learning Crouch End. He has grown in confidence during the time he has been attending the nursery and is happy, sociable and curious. He really looks forward to going every day to play with his friends. He has so much admiration and affection for the
staff. I hear all the time about how certain members of staff have explained how to do things and therefore I should do the same :-).


The staff make sure that they understand the needs of each individual child. They know my son very well and understand where he needs encouragement and support and where he is at his most confident.


The activities at the nursery are varied and interesting. He comes home telling me about artists and composers, or telling me how he has tried hockey, zumba, ballet, yoga, sports etc.


We couldn't have asked for more for him in the early years. He is ready for is next adventure in life thanks to their dedication and support.

Staff are extremely helpful and the children are always happy! My girls cannot wait to go every morning, there is always something new to learn and experience. Staff are always available to the children and always acknowledge when they need a cuddle or just some need some tender loving care.

My two daughters both attend Active Learning and we really couldn't be happier with their experience there. My eldest has been there for nearly 4 years now. The educational environment and learning opportunities for the children are outstanding. Each child is really nurtured as an individual and provided
with a huge variety of activities for play and learning. All the members of staff there go above and beyond to provide a really caring environment for the children to thrive in. My eldest is leaving soon to start school and has had fantastic preparation there for the transition. I am very grateful for the opportunities she has had over the years that have helped her develop such an enthusiastic approach to learning. The staff there have really helped develop her self confidence. I would highly recommend Active Learning and am very glad that my youngest daughter will have the same opportunities there in the coming years.

Our son has been attending Active Learning nursery in Crouch End for almost three years and we have been consistently impressed with the quality of staff, their dedication and attention to our sons care, and learning. The facilities at the nursery are good and I cannot imagine a better setting as the
school is surrounded by green fields and nature. Perhaps the biggest surprise for us has been the diversity of learning- from very broad musical tuition to Spanish, Ballet, acting classes and arts and crafts, the school has provided a really outstanding platform for our Son's future education and we feel that he could not have had a better start. Thank you to ALL the staff for your constant care, love and attention to our sons every need.

I am very happy with Active Learning and my 15 month old son is thriving there. The staff were wonderful during his settling in and he quickly adapted. He now runs around at pick-up time and wants to show me everything he enjoys. He eats very well (though I don't allow him to have the puddings and cakes

I have now had two children in Active Learning and can say that it is a safe, friendly and nurturing environment. Both of my children loved being there and were happy when I left them in the morning. My second child is never anxious to leave when I collect her. The range of activities that they put
on is fantastic: music and art start from early on, and the older children receive all of the provision that children in normal school receive.
The menus are good and can at times introduce children to new food, and are usually healthy and enticing. The staff are almost always well aware of how your child has done during the day and even tell you about new things your child has done.
The biggest drawback to the nursery is its staff turnover. Although many of the senior staff have been there for a long time, the support staff tend to move around a lot more, and at times the staff numbers can be a bit tight (though they are never below their stated ratios).

Job Title: Nursery Manager

I began my Bright Horizons journey in January 2016 as Room Leader at Active Learning West Hampstead and was promoted to Third in Charge shortly after. I have had experience working in all rooms across the nursery and helping to support room leaders to excel in their roles. I then transferred to Active Learning Crouch End in September 2018 after returning from maternity leave to start a new adventure as Deputy Manager.


I have had experience in many different senior roles such as being Room Leader, Third in Charge and Deputy Manager in other settings. I have also been the Lead SENCO in my past nurseries.


I am passionate about childcare and thrive on providing a safe, educational, home away from home environment where children can learn and develop whilst enjoying their time at nursery. I thoroughly enjoy my interactions with children and will often be found with a group participating in an activity, whilst supporting and motivating my staff team in providing exceptional experiences for the children within our care.

My name is Kashca and I am the Deputy Manager of Bright Horizons Crouch End Fields. I began my journey with Bright Horizons in 2019. I am the Designated Safeguarding Lead, Paediatric First Aider, and Nursery SEND Co-Ordinator. I have worked in education for 11 years across both primary and Early Years settings.


I achieved my BA Hons Degree in Education Studies covering areas such as Children’s Thinking Skills and Cognition development to Therapeutic Approaches and how we can support children with Special Educational Needs and disabilities through mediums such as Art and Music.


I thrive working alongside the Local Authority for a great partnership and working alongside other professionals.


I have a passion for developing parent partnerships and strive to ensure children have the best possible starts in their lives and ensure both children and staff are happy whilst they are happy at our nursery.
