I've been very pleased with the staff of this nursery. It gives me peace of mind knowing my child is with good and caring people during the day. The facilities are also quite impressive and my child seems to learn something new every day. I would definitely recommend this nursery.
I personally recommend the Bright Horizons Columbus Courtyard Day Nursery and Preschool. The staff are absolutely amazing, friendly, always helpful and they take excellent care of my daughter 5 days a week. Their attention to detail, as well as the personal touch they provide, fills me with confidence that my daughter is in their safe and careful hands daily (weekdays).
The facilities are also brilliant and the location is perfect. Columbus Courtyard is the second Bright Horizons Day Nursery and Preschool we have used and it and it is by far the best.
Any parent looking for a safe and secure environment for their child, this is the place, they are the leading from the front and are the best of the best!
My son is seven years old. He comes to Columbus every half term and has a great time. He has been coming since he was 18 months old and now has some really good friends that have been coming just as long. The ladies have always treated my son with the best care and have a loving attitude to all that comes.
I would be glad to recommend this nursery and all the staff there. Thank you for taking such great care of my boy.
He loved going to the activity rooms within the nursery the soft play room and playroom but also loved spending time around the Canary Wharf area to be able to run and explore the environments.
He has since gone to school and I feel that the nursery has helped a lot in his smooth transition to school where he is making lots more friends.
He still talks about his friends at the nursery and the staff here too.
The facilities are fantastic with a soft play area for the smaller children and a large indoor playground too. The rooms are large, bright, spacious and well equipped, staff are generally very attentive, friendly and enthused and our son has become very attached to his key worker who is a delight!
The nursery doesn't have a dedicated outdoor playground however the children do go out and explore Canary Wharf and the local area often. I work in Canary Wharf and frequently see the children outdoors. The groups always appear well organised and the children happy.
Finally, there are additional, thoughtful touches like water and fruit that parents are welcome to help themselves to at home time (very useful when you forget snacks for the journey home) that demonstrate how this nursery goes the extra mile.
Absolutely love this nursery, my daughter is so happy here after switching from another and I love how despite being part of the Bright Horizons company they have retained that personal connection that you usually get from smaller independent nurseries.
They don’t have their own outdoor space but they more than make up for it in the exploration they do around Canary Wharf. My daughter frequently visits the roof garden, Docklands Museum or library as a group.
Getting the children school ready is one of the things I really love about this nursery, my daughter's speech, writing and recognition of numbers/alphabet has come a long way despite only being there 3/4 months. My only regret is not switching her to this nursery sooner.
Columbus Courtyard is an amazing nursery. The team are all so friendly and are amazing with the children.
My granddaughter had been attending Columbus Courtyard Nursery for a while now and have no complaints. My wife and I always drop her off and pick her up from the nursery and she is always happy when arriving and leaving to go home. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. Management are very helpful and always there to help when needed. I would love it if they had an outside area because my granddaughter loves going out. I would recommend this nursery to all my friends and family.
My daughter attended this nursery from age 1 to 2 before moving out of Canary Wharf and London. We have seen her grow and develop into a very independent and cheeky personality. The staff and practitioners are amazingly attentive to the children. We will sadly miss being part of this nursery.
The staff are always polite and friendly and are always happy to help with whatever problems I had on the day.
They do not have a garden on site but he used to enjoy going outside and exploring Canary Wharf.
I was really anxious when my son first started, he was a very fussy eater and would only eat pasta and cheese. Since joining the nursery, the staff in his room have worked really closely with our family to encourage and build the confidence for him to widen his food variety. It is so much easier now when we go out for family meals, I have one less thing to worry about. I thank all the team at Columbus Courtyard for helping us through this period.
I would recommend Columbus courtyard to my friends and family :) Everyday I feel comfortable leaving the child I look after at the nursery as everyone is welcoming and friendly. I also get a good handover at the end of each day so I know exactly what kind of day they have had. The nursery is nice and spacious and they have lots of different activity rooms, they like the Playroom in particular!

Meet the Team (2)
Hello, I'm Tyler, the Nursery Manager at Columbus Courtyard.
With a master's degree in Childhood Studies and a background as a qualified teacher, I've explored various roles like nursery nurse, mentor, holiday club manager, nanny, teaching assistant, and deputy manager. The early years are where I feel most at home, finding immense reward in giving children a strong start to flourish into well-rounded individuals.
My focus lies in supporting children's emotional well-being and instilling vital skills like co and self-regulation, crucial for their future resilience. Additionally, I'm passionate about metacognition and fostering key learning behaviours in the early years for lifelong support. Beyond direct work with children, I thrive on supporting families, building robust parent partnerships, and recognising parents as lifelong influencers in a child's learning journey.
Hello
I have worked in childcare for over 20 years and joined Bright Horizons in 2019. I have had the opportunity to gain more managerial experience while still working in rooms sharing my knowledge and introducing new songs to the children. I have built good relations with the children and parents and this is reflected in the nursery. I have been a part of the team to helped build the nursery and gain a strong Ofsted rating and look forward to working alongside the new management team to drive the success of the nursery.
