Nursery staff are excellent and genuinely care about the welfare and development of my son.
They love to see him each day and he loves being there.
Extremely supportive staff, great environment for our baby girl, friendly people, really nice and well-equipped rooms. Very happy with the facilities.
My son has been at the nursery since he was 1, starting off in the baby room and now is a 'Little Learner' toddler. He has thoroughly enjoyed his time there and runs in each morning without looking back. The baby room has a real maternal family feel which helped me leave him initially. The staff really care and think of really creative activities for the children. We are moving soon and are very sad that we can't move the nursery with us!
Day out for children.
Rearrange rooms so that older children have more space in bigger rooms.
Better control on staff turnover.
Bright Horizons East Greenwich Day Nursery and Preschool is a nice environment for the kids. Staff are friendly and helpful and the managers are very good. The cook on-site prepares fresh food for the children and my little one is really enjoying her experience.
The carers take a genuine interest in the children and their primary focus is the children's wellbeing. There is a small point to consider which relates to the cleanliness of the children who are sometimes left with their runny noses for a while as well as their nappies. Overall though the nursery is good.
If at any time you would like to go in and have a parent session with the Manager or your child's key worker please do let them know so they can...
Two of my grandchildren have attended the nursery. Both starting in babycare and staying until they have gone to school. The second is just making the move to the toddlers. All staff are extremely caring towards the children and you can see how happy all the children are. Always lots of activities going on and when my grandaughter left to go to school it was evident all the hard work that had been in place as the school commented on it. It’s a loving, caring environment. The garden is on the small size but the activities that are carried out in the garden outweigh this. The park is used by the nursery next door.
My son is in the baby room. He has bonded really well with the ladies in the room. He has made lots of new friends and the staff has encouraged him to explore and find new experiences.
The office staff are always on hand and deal with enquiries quite quickly.
All the staff are friendly and approachable and are able to deal with any queries.
Staff is really good. Food is properly "home-made" with care - no sugar or biscuits are given to children which is good.
However, in the early morning and at the drop-off, all the children gather in one room. (The room my daughter is in). This results in having lots of different ages with lots of noise. This makes children of younger age (such as my daughter) distressed.
Instead, they should allocate the children to their respective rooms based on age, even at the drop-off in the morning.
I will feed on your comments to the Nursery Manager regarding the mornings and ask them to look at what they can do to accommodate.
Kind Regards
Teddies Greenwich was recommended to us and it is the first nursery for my son. We received a warm welcome from members of staff and management during our initial settling sessions. Teddies Greenwich is very accommodating with our requests and the staff are caring and diligent. My son enjoys attending the nursery. Constructively, I'd like to see more attentiveness from the staff eg. putting on jackets for the children before going to the garden/outdoors when it is chilly/rainy; It'll be good to see a mid-morning snack being introduced as this seemed to be a common practice in other nurseries.
My granddaughter attends the nursery. She is in the pre-school room. Since joining the nursery she has improved immensely. She is now recognising letters and spelling her name. She sounds the letters out and can say a letter and give a word beginning with that letter. She has always been good with her speech but she is now having a lot more understanding of conversations and comes out with words and sentences you would expect from someone a lot older. She loves the staff and the other children in her room. She is kept busy and her brain active which is what she needed. She has certainly gained a lot from this nursery.
My daughter started in September since she started we have noticed a massive change she is so much more confident. She can say her letters and recognise them she is now learning her numbers and phonics. The range of activities and experiences she is exposed to is much more than we could give her she loves her time in preschool and never wants to leave. All family and friends have commented on the positive effects the nursery has had on her and she has a fantastic bond with all staff especially her keyworker we can't thank them enough.
I think Teddies nursery in Greenwich is excellent as the staff make you feel so welcome, part of a family if you like. The Manager always made me and my son feel welcome from day one, and if I ever had a problem or question she always had time for me regardless. Thank you so much for being a part of our lives for the past 2 years.
Teddies Nurseries Greenwich provides a safe and nurturing environment for the children. I would not hesitate to recommend the nursery to prospective parents.
I am completely confident leaving my daughter at Teddies Nurseries Greenwich. the ladies really care about the children and my daughter enjoys her time here.
Great experience and friendly staff helped my son settle in nicely. He has made friends and learns something new each day. Very happy.
Wonderful nursery. Children very happy to go every day. Lovely staff.
My son has thoroughly enjoyed his time at Teddies Nurseries Greenwich. The staff have all been very helpful and friendly. My son has made lots of friends and is going to miss them all.
My son has been at Teddies from twelve weeks old right through to his graduation. Teddies Greenwich staff have always bent over backwards to accommodate our needs and above all have shown such are and love to my son. He absolutely adores the staff there and will be incredibly hard to leave (this coming Friday!). I always sing the praises of this nursery. I am confident I could not have found a better, or more settled nursery anywhere in the country. In my opinion, Teddies Nursery Greenwich should win every possible award! The Manager and all the staff are incredible.
Both my children are at Teddies Nurseries Greenwich. The nursery is not cheap but includes everything my children need, for example, food, nappies and suncream. They have a good learning and development program and keep records on my daughter's development. If there have been any concerns they are addressed. They also have a good discipline policy which is easy to continue at home. There are also extras to the curriculum, for example, French lessons and a hairdresser also attends every 6 months. Most importantly the staff are motivated, helpful, kind and caring to my children and make every effort to ensure their time there is happy. I wish they had more outside space and a bigger preschool room.
Our daughter has been attending the nursery for the past two years now. We are very pleased with her progress so far. She has developed good social skills and advanced in general curriculum including numbers, letters, objects etc. She is getting a very good level of attention from the staff including interaction with older children. The nursery provides very healthy diet and general support around upbringing of a child.
