Bright Horizons Southfields Day Nursery and Preschool

My son started at Bright Horizons Southfields when he was 8 months old in May 2022. The manager and her team were so amazing in helping our family all deal with the transition to nursery. Within a couple of days, my son was clearly settling well and so happy at the nursery. He really loves every day that we drop him there. The team in the baby room are brilliant, and my son has a big smile every time I collect him. It is so obvious that he enjoys every minute he spends learning and playing with the amazing team in the baby room. I really recommend this nursery. It’s a really lovely, friendly environment, and the team really nurture the children’s development. As a parent, it’s so heartwarming to get the sense that the staff care as much about your child as you do, and that’s how I feel about Bright Horizons Southfields. We really love it.

Our daughter started nursery at 9 months and loved her class from the start! She settled in very quickly and her key person made such an effort with her which made her feel so welcome. I can’t recommend the nursery enough! All the staff are very friendly and helpful. We will be sad when our nursery days are over.

Our experience at the nursery has been wonderful. Our daughter has been here since January 2021 and we have been so impressed by her progress. The staff have been so impressive and the nursery manager has been exceptional with her support to us. Our daughter looks forward to coming to the nursery and really enjoys spending time with her friends. She has developed so much in her time here.

Great nursery in Southfields! The staff are very caring and pay a lot of attention to the development of the kids. It is a bit more expensive than others, but it has good facilities and activities, including outdoor space. We highly recommend it!

My daughter loves going to Southfields Bright Horizons Day Nursery. She is well looked after by the amazing staff who give her a lot of love and attention. She is constantly learning new things and making friends.

Our son joined the Baby Room at Teddies when he was 8 months old and has just transitioned to the Toddlers room. The nursery has provided outstanding care and our son has grown to love all the nursery staff. In particular, the nursery manager, deputy manager, the baby room staff, and the cook. They go above and beyond in terms of safeguarding, minding dietary restrictions, and supporting development. Even at his young age, our son has made so many friends at the nursery and is learning to be independent. We are very pleased with our choice and would choose them again in a heartbeat. Thank you Teddies for taking care of our son so well!

We have always been so happy with Bright Horizons. My child is in preschool, about to go to school in September and so I wanted to say that we’ve had such a good experience the last few years. The workers and key workers in preschool have been amazing. We absolutely love them and love the nursery manager. They have always been extremely accommodating and my kids have absolutely loved it. Both my kids attend the nursery and could not be happier with them. The children are always happy to be dropped off. There is a high standard of care at the nursery and the ladies in the rooms are amazing. My little ones key worker is very caring and attentive to her knees. The amazing manager goes the extra mile.

Our son started at Bright Horizons Southfields in August 2020 when he was 8 months old and we could not be happier with the nursery and all the staff! We feel so lucky that despite Covid and all of the lockdowns our son has been cared for so fantastically by everyone. He started in the baby room and has now graduated to the toddler room and we are so happy with his growth and development and everything he has learned. He settled in very quickly and positively skips into nursery every morning. He adores his key people and the nursery manager. We are delighted with how happy our son is with the nursery environment. The only shame for us is that, until recently, we have only just gotten to know the staff in the Baby Room. The ladies are jolly, friendly and enthusiastic. The nursery management is also very friendly and helpful, welcoming everyone each morning. Now we look forward to getting to know the Toddler Room staff as Covid guidelines are reducing and parents are allowed more access inside.

The staff and management have been excellent - they are full of energy (I don't know how they do it), friendly and caring. The activities and learning have undoubtedly helped my daughter progress into a knowledgable, confident child ready for school.

We have absolutely loved our time at Bright Horizons Southfields. The staff could not have been more welcoming, friendly and supportive of our little boy when he started nursery and for his time there. He has flourished and loves nursery so much, banging on the door to be let in every day has to be a great sign! In particular, the nursery manager and our son’s key person in baby room felt like family immediately and took such amazing care of our son, paying such attention to his personal development and growth.

The manager puts so much energy, huge efforts, time love and care into all that she does at the nursery and in making every child feel safe and well-loved. She is a fantastic manager, and we are so grateful for all that she does in helping to look after our child during the week. He is so very happy and settled there, and a large part of this is due to the manager and her tireless work to support every child. We would not hesitate to recommend this nursery to other families.

This is a very friendly nursery with a dedicated nursery manager. Our son has made lots of friends there and really enjoys his time there. I think they have supported him really well in his development which has progressed very well since attending the nursery.

We couldn’t be happier with our choice of nursery for our son. He started at Bright Horizons Southfields when he was almost 1 and absolutely loves going there every day. He adores his key worker. The activities they organise for the kids are fantastic, well thought out and blend education and fun! The meals are nutritious and varied and the new menu is great. The staff go above and beyond and we always feel very relaxed when our son is in their care. The weekly email updates and additional information provided is a huge value add.

I have only good things to say about this nursery! My daughter has been through the baby, toddler and now preschool rooms and enjoys each one more and more. She had a hard time settling at first, they were so good and patient with her and reassuring to me! They have really helped her through other milestones like potty training, moving house and becoming a big sister. All the staff are lovely but a special mention goes to the manager who really does stand out and obviously loves and cares for each child.

Our daughter has been in the nursery for the past 8-months and has had such an amazing time! Despite covid and everything else 2020 has thrown at us, the nursery has been amazing. Our daughter was able to join the nursery (without us parents entering the building) and she felt safe, confident and well cared for. Before long she couldn't wait to go to nursery every day, and at the end of the day, she had loads of stories about friends she had made, her teachers and what she had learnt that day. The staff prepare a great little report each day so as parents we always knew what they had played with that day. Well done everyone at Bright Horizons Southfields, and thanks for having our daughter in your amazing nursery.

I was apprehensive about this being a ‘chain’ nursery, but it has a very personal and independent feel about it. My son settled in very quickly and really enjoys his days there. He has also learnt so much. One of the saddest things about moving away will be leaving this wonderful team! Thank you to all of you-you do a fantastic job, especially during these difficult times.

My son started at the nursery when he was 15 months old and settled very quickly. Everyone who worked there was incredibly kind and loving and my son adored his time there. He moved to the toddler rooms when he was 18 months old and again settled quickly here and loved the day to day activities and playing with the other children. He couldn't have been happier every morning when he went to nursery and he will be very sad to have to leave. It is a nursery I would highly recommend.

Additionally, I just wanted to say we have been really impressed with Southfield Day Nursery and Bright Horizons in generally during this difficult time with coronavirus. The communication has been clear and supportive. She has been so happy to come back and they dealt with this transition excellently.
