Streatham Montessori Day Nursery

I feel very lucky to have found such an outstanding nursery and really couldn't recommend it highly enough. The teachers are wonderfully kind, nurturing, compassionate and incredibly patient. The very low staff turnover is a real standout and gives it such a lovely family feel, very much connected to its beginnings, with the owner starting it in her family home over 30 years ago. The Montessori way is the guiding philosophy, with the open shelves it allows the little ones to choose activities that interest them and encourages independence. The nursery genuinely listen to parents. When a new app was introduced that wasn't working particularly well, they quickly changed direction and moved to a much more user-friendly app, which has been a great addition. I also love how they keep investing in the premises, from the loft extension to the garden and mud kitchen. After 10 years and my 3 girls graduating here, I will always be grateful for all the care, kindness and happy memories!

Our 2 year old has been going to Streatham Montessori Nursery for 1 year now and we couldn't be happier. He has developed so much and loves going to Nursery. Team are wonderful and supportive and I love how much indépendance and confidence they build in the child. Just about to have our second and will 100% be signing them up here. Highly recommend.

Our daughter started at the nursery around her first birthday. The transition to nursery was made easy and the staff took so much time to get to know her. Everyone cares a lot about providing a safe and happy environment for the children, and all staff (not just her teachers) recognised and learnt her name from day one. I was so reassured that I have never worried about leaving her there as I know she's happy and stimulated all day, doing activities in the garden and messy play I probably wouldn't do myself! Every time I collect her there's lots of singing and playing happening, she almost doesn't want to leave! We are leaving London but feel so sad to be leaving the nursery behind, we will miss it a lot and our "Miss Montessori" child F will certainly miss her special teachers

I am so very grateful to have both my daughters attend this nursery. My eldest is now at school. My youngest has two years left. The sheer love and care the teachers have for the children is unmatched. I am confident that my daughter is so well taken care of. She eats well. She goes in happily. She has learnt and grown. I couldn't be fonder of all the staff. Fehmida with the support of Miss Sue and all the staff have created a wonderful nursery environment. When the day comes, we will be very sad to leave.

I am very impressed by the staff. They are very child focused and work well with managing parents needs and expectations. My daughter has learnt so much in the 8 months that she's been there and we are very happy.

We also love using their nursery app! It is incredibly user-friendly and keeps us completely connected throughout the day with regular updates and photos. If you are looking for a nurturing, safe and professional environment for your little one, this is definitely the place!

Our daughter started nursery when she was 6months old. I am proud to say she turns 4 this month and will be starting school in September. Over the last few years Streatham Montessori Day Nursery have been excellent. The whole management and staff caring and educating our daughter have been amazing - so many cool activities throughout the year, learning activities, weekly photo updates of their days and key milestone discussions have been thoroughly thought through. I would highly recommend Streatham Montessori Day Nursery to anyone - I trust them infinitely. Thank you to the team for helping our daughter develop into the strong, confident and independent child she is.

Such a great nursery, both my children have been there since they were little baby, feels like a second home to them. They love everything about it. Absolutely recommended, it's a wonderful place, teachers and managers are attentive, caring and loving, food is great, facilities are very good, but the best thing is the magic that the staff manage to create for the children all year round. Both my sons thrive there and it will be hard for one of them to leave to go to school soon!

This is a wonderful homely and supportive learning environment, rooted in the Montessori principles. Both my kids are thriving here and always look forward to their nursery days. And though they're happy to come home again after, they're never relieved the day is over, instead sharing excitedly all the things they've explored with their friends and teachers. This is genuinely the best nursery I've come across, and I've visited quite a few and heard about many others. The care delivered here is outstanding in every aspect, the staff are driven, passionate, highly skilled and wonderfully supportive of children as well as carers. I can't recommend it highly enough!

Streatham Montessori is a truly wonderful place and my son has been so happy during his time there. As a parent, it is invaluable to know your child is safe and happy at nursery and this has certainly been the case. He has learned so much since joining and constantly amazes me with all the new things he comes home saying and doing. The staff are so caring and communication has always been great. If I could take the nursery with me, I would!! We will really miss everyone.

Our son attended this nursery for 3.5 years, and it was wonderful. The staff are kind and very caring, and I always felt very confident leaving my son with them. They made it really fun for him, and he looked forward to his days there. My son has several food allergies, and they were excellent at dealing with them and keeping him safe. I would highly recommend this nursery to any family!

I wanted a Montessori nursery and a family/home feel, and Streatham Montessori Day Nursery offer exactly what I was looking for and my son loves it.

While I had no doubt about my choice of setting, this past week and a half has simply consolidated in my mind that I have made the right choice. From the calm and skilled staff who have taken baby each day, to the daily communication, the photos and messages on the app, great chats and the knowledge that the staff truly care for ALL of the other babies. The icing on the cake was when I was privileged enough to join my son for the end of his nap on Friday - the babies were so settled, calm and well looked after. Your team are absolute angels - and I told them this!

Of course, I know that there will be ups and downs as we all continue to settle and adjust to the longer days in the setting, but for now, I have gone into the weekend a v happy mama and will be returning to work v reassured.

Excellent nursery with wonderful, caring and nurturing staff. My son attended since he was 15months old and sadly we moved out of the area! It was definitely a home from home for my LO and made going to work that much easier!

Streatham Montessori is a very special place. Our two children started both at 10 months old and the level of care and attention they both received was amazing. The staff are lovely and it was a joy to chat to them at the end of the day at pick-up to find out what the kids had been up to each day. There is a lovely atmosphere that the manager and her team have created at the nursery and we'll be forever grateful for the time our children spent there.

An absolutely beautiful and homely nursery! from the 1st day of viewing to settling in days to my daughter's last day-(36 months old) was amazing! I had my daughter here since she was 12 months old. Very warm and caring staff from the Manager is such an angel! To my daughter's key carers in her baby room - to preschool staff were exception, sweet and so loving. They cared for my baby as though she was theirs. They made returning to work after maternity so bliss for me. My daughter learned a great deal, very clean space, a structured curriculum, feedback, milestones, nap time, pictures, etc available daily on the app. She started speaking so clearly in no time, came home with lots to tell about her day, and loved that her day was filled with so many indoor/outdoor activities and trips outside of the nursery. Love the family feel and it was the best nursery exp. 100% recommended! We had the best time! definitely the only nursery for my kids!

Fantastic nursery setting! So welcoming and nurturing. Had my daughter attend since she was 20 months old and the only reason we left was because we moved out of the area! Very caring staff! I felt like I was dropping her off with family. Would definitely recommend it.

The spirit is to work in partnership with parents and we have felt very much a part of that community over the years. This is a valuable and safe space and very much recommended!

My daughter has been attending Streatham Montessori for over 2 years now. I highly recommend! My nieces, who are now 9 years old and 11 years old, also attended this nursery when they were little and the standards and quality of care has remained the same all these years. I love the home away from home feeling. It gives me great satisfaction being at work knowing my daughter is being well looked after and stimulated.
