Streatham Montessori Day Nursery

My kid had such a great time in this nursery. Staff really care for my child. They are lovely and very helpful; they also kept me updated whenever needed. Teachers organised a variety of weekly activities, which made my kid learn a lot. He will truly miss his nursery.

We have been with the nursery for the past 6-years and counting, with both our children loving their time there and graduating all the way from the butterfly, through to strawberry and rainbow class. All the teachers are very friendly, approachable and caring. True to the Montessori spirit, they help children strive and encourage them to become independent (eg, to tidy up, prepare meals, put on coats, button shirts, and use the loo) from a young age. It is a testament to the outstanding nursery leadership and management that staff enjoy working there and stay on for a long time (decades in some cases), which I find particularly commendable, and it greatly benefits the children to have dedicated key persons who can follow individual learning journeys and promote their progress. I can highly recommend Streatham Montessori to any parent looking for a small nursery setting with a strong family feel!

They are also unbelievably wonderful with each child in their care - I believe the evidence of this is evident when you see children excited to go to nursery (this is the case for nearly every child). My son is an only child, so he is more prone to being clingy, but when it comes to nursery mornings, he runs to get his coat and shoes and has even been naming the teachers to me when I tell him it's time to go "to school ."My son has been there for a year now, and his development is evident every day. He is not even 2-years yet and already tries to say "helicopter," which is remarkable. What I find particularly wonderful is that you get a daily update on what your baby has done during the day.

Great nursery - very friendly staff management is excellent very clean. My son loves going to this nursery Never a dull moment when it's time for Nursey Every parent should understand how important it is to know that your child is in good hands. I would greatly recommend this nursery to anyone excellent.

I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nursery in the area, and I feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful and happy environment for my son.

Our daughter started going to nursery when she was 10-months-old, and we have been happy from day one. She is always happy and keen to go inside and happily gets staff when she sees them. What we particularly like is that the manager, who set the nursery up, is greeting the child at the door and knows all their names. We also like the fact that there seems to be plenty of outdoor time, a real variation of toys and the food is cooked on-site and varied. We could not have sent our daughter to a better nursery.

My son started when he was 10 months old, he spent four years at this nursery. I feel I couldn't have found a better place for my child, especially when he was in the care of the staff. These ladies are so sweet and caring, I knew my baby was loved and well looked after. My son missed them a lot when moved on the 2years old class at first. But then with the teacher being so lovely as well, he adapted to the class very quickly. Although my child was attending nursery only 2 days a week he learned a lot and was well supported by the staff. We speak different languages at home so my son had difficulties with some pronunciations. They gave him one to one sessions to help him improve his speech. He's now a very confident boy and was well prepared for his transition to reception. Thank you to all the staff for the amazing job you're doing.

I was really sad to have to take him out as I feel he would have continued to flourish there!

I would highly recommend Streatham Montessori Nursery and Day Care. The staff are very warm and welcoming. Our daughter thoroughly enjoyed her time at the nursery and although she is in school now, we often pop in to say hi.

Thank you so much for the care you gave to our daughter. She left your delightful and heartwarming nursery to which I feel saddened, it was like a second home to her.

When we visited your nursery, we knew this was the place where she would nurture and grow into the wonderful little girl that she is now. She has formed very good relationships with both friends and teachers which we feel, will help her for her future relationships.

I would lastly like to shout out to three key workers, all have hearts of gold! My daughter has started preschool nown at her sister's primary school, but she still mentions the staff at Streatham Montessori Nursery every other day.

My 2-year-old daughter attends Streatham Montessori two mornings a week. Even though she is there relatively less than most of the other children in her class, she has been welcomed in with exactly the same level of attention and care as all the children are. It feels like another home.

At the nursery, I was delighted to see that the children have small sinks where they can wash their own dishes, and also wash and prepare the fruit they eat. Children are encouraged to be responsible, to find pleasure in all sorts of tasks, to follow their own interests. There is joy and learning to be had at every moment. After a couple of weeks at nursery, my daughter went of her own accord from nappies to using the toilet, which I think says a lot about how safe and encouraged she felt to be independent.

The staff running the nursery are warm, genuine, extremely capable and passionate about their work. I feel so lucky to have found this nursery, and my daughter absolutely loves it too!

Very happy with the service and will recommend anyone with children under the age of five to put their child there and know they would not be disappointed.

I highly recommend this nursery. Both of my children attended this place, and the staff, owner are very lovely people, who you can trust and leave your child with them. I did it with my eyes close, and I cannot thank enough of what they did with my children. A polite and responsible boy's who learned so much with the way Montessori teach. I will miss them so much.

I have had family and friends use this nursery before me, and it was recommended. The best recommendation I've had. Some of the staff have been there for years, and they really do care for the children and treat them all individually. My son has learnt so much since joining this nursery.

Many thanks from the heart for all your hard work, love, dedication, patience to the children, and for keeping personal belongings in order (toys, clothes), helping with potty training, caring when they were not feeling well, making every day a fun environment to go to, which was also very important. Streatham Montessori is a wonderful family-run nursery, where the teachers and administrators really get to know the children and the parents. I wish I had started my daughter there sooner! Her independence, verbal and social skills have just flourished under their Montessori tutelage. Several of the staff members have been there for over a decade, which says a lot. The teachers are very good at making sure the parents feel informed and are very accommodating to any questions or concerns one may have. I highly support and endorse Streatham Montessori!

We send our 1-year-old and 3-year-old to Streatham Montessori, and we have been very happy with the care and support they receive. Both children like it there and look forward to attending. The staff are great and keep us updated with their activities and progress with regular one to one meetings plus updates on their app. I can't recommend this nursery highly enough!

Oh, how we love this Nursery. Our eldest recently left after four years of care, and it was heartbreaking. Thankfully, our youngest has just started, so we will still have a connection. Family run with amazing staff. They create happy children who are kind, polite, conscientious, imaginative and free from gender stereotypes. We couldn’t recommend Streatham Montessori more. Five stars!

My son was there for 3-years, and now my daughter almost two. Lovely nursery with wonderful Montessori ethos and the children are cuddled when upset. My children have learnt so many skills there, and the staff are always happy to accommodate when you need extra support.
