Streatham Montessori nursery is an exciting and engaging place for children to receive care following Montessori teaching. The nursery has a low staff to child ratio which allows children and staff to develop a strong bond allwoing carers to assist children on a personal basis.

Children are able to lead their own learning through play and carers are passionate about helping children to achieve the best start in life.

We have put both of our children through Streatham Montessori Nursery & Day Care. They both started shortly after their 1st birthdays and attended all the way through to school (even though we moved away from the area!). They loved every moment. The staff are caring, warm, fun and friendly and both
our children bonded with them immediately. I would (and have) recommend them to any parent.

Our son attended the nursery for the best part of two years with his time there only ending when we moved out of the area. Throughout his time there we found it very difficult to find fault in anything at this nursery and we wish could have taken the nursery with us when we moved. The main strength
of the nursery was their friendly staff who genuinely enjoyed working with the children and seemed to be more excited about seeing our son progress than we were! Our son is now in a new nursery and has settled well but we believe his ability to settle quickly with little difficulty is largely down to the experiences he was given at Streatham Montessori and we can't recommend them highly enough.

This nursery is friendly and both our children have benefited from the love and warmth provided. The nursery benefits from low staff turnover and all the staff seem qualified to a very good care standard - there are none of the young teenagers that are fresh out into the workforce. Most are also qualified
in Montessori teaching and some are working to quiet high levels of training. The only slight problem for the nursery is that these very qualified teachers become highly desirable and some of the best teachers have moved. The highlights for me have been the care in the 1-2-year-old room, where the children are skillfully settled and given lots of love and attention. Our oldest had a bad experience before, and I think she settled relatively quickly and loved her key worker. The Montessori element kicks in at 2, and children are encouraged to use it. The nursery could benefit from more Montessori kit particular for the older children. The outdoor space is limited, but good use is made.

I have been very happy with my son's experience of his nursery. The staff made him very welcome and helped him to settle in when he started. He seems to be kept stimulated by a variety of activities and he eats well.

We felt the entire nursery team cared for both our daughters needs and ours as first time parents extremely well. A great play orientated yet learning environment that supported all developmental stages and really fosters a community spirited attitude. 5 Star, approachable, considerate and well run!!

This is a small and very friendly nursery that has a homely feel. Our son who is under 2 years old has been regularly attending and has always been treated with the greatest care. He settled in very quickly. All of the staff are very communicative, our son's key worker bonded quickly with our son and
all the carers have been excellent. We see the same faces each time we pick up/drop off and they always greet us with a smile and an update on how our son has been that day. The food is cooked on site and always smells great so we know our son eats well here. One of the great touches is you get a hand written report about your child's day telling you what they did, what they ate, how much milk they took etc... which is very reassuring. The manager is excellent and very responsive to the needs of parents, as are all the staff. A staff member always greets us with a smile at the door for drop off and pick up. Overall highly recommended.

Both my children have got off to a great start in life by attending the nursery, and are not only doing well academically but are also confident in their abilities. My son (who is now 8) has achieved 9 A's in his most recent report and though this is due to a number of factors I strongly believe the
independence and confidence he derived from his time at the nursery filled him with the belief that we reinforce at home which is to be the best that you can be. We actually kept my daughter at the nursery as opposed to putting her in a mainstream nursery and we have seen the benefits of this decision with the gusto and eagerness to learn that she is now applying in her reception class.
In short the academia, self belief and more importantly the way all the staff have looked after our children has played a vital role in shaping our children's future which is something I will always be eternally grateful for.
