Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-School, Maida Vale

A very family-like nursery with caring and thoughtful practitioners! The staff members go out of their way to get to know and understand each child, as well as the parents - and they know everyone by name. The space is great, both indoors and outdoors! My son is happy, cared for and safe - and I couldn't be happier as a parent.

Love my daughter's key person, she is amazing with her. Very happy and welcoming environment. Very family-like place. My daughter learns and achieves a lot and seems to be encouraged and challenged often.

Amazing childcare provider. We’ve had a least one child attending since May 2019 and are so happy with the care and learning experiences our children have gone through, they really bloomed and flourished as kind little people. The staff are wonderful, thoughtful, caring and go out of their way to get to know each child and parent.

The nursery is great. Good facilities indoors and outdoors and great staff. The staff really cares about the children. Our son loves the nursery and has become very confident around other adults and children. We have signed up our second child as well.

Thanks very much for the care and attention everyone's given to our daughter. She's 18 months and enjoys all sorts of activities in Grasshopper's. Special mention to one member of staff in particular who is great and excellent at taking good photos for the app.

My daughter started at the nursery in March 2022 when she was 4.5 months old and stayed there until August 2022 (we moved house). I have been extremely pleased by the care she was given there, the staff of the baby room were really supportive for the settling period and reassured me a lot, so a few weeks later I was fully confident to leave her there when going back to work. The rooms are large, bright and airy and the outdoor space is a massive plus. They do lots of creative activities even with young babies. My daughter was so happy to go there, she literally jumped into the staff's arms every morning. I strongly recommend this nursery!

Both my sons attended the nursery. My eldest was there for three years and my youngest for one year. I can say that from their first day the staff took very good care of them and helped them transition. I felt they were nurtured and loved. Every time I would talk to them at home about their teachers or their day they had a smile on their faces. They were happy there and I felt they learned a lot, especially since they are bilingual. The staff took the extra step of using some of our native language words to help them settle in better. I would recommend the nursery as my sons loved it there and we, as parents, felt they were safe in a happy and positive environment. They’ve grown and developed their personalities there guided by caring and kind teachers, together with the rest of the staff.

The only negative point is that the outside area could do with some freshening up. It doesn’t impact the overall experience but it did put me off a little when I was considering nurseries.

Our little boy is very settled and really enjoys nursery despite some inattentiveness in class which we’re tackling (again key worker is very involved in this project). My only suggestion would be that it would be good to see the children taking advantage of the proximity to the recreation ground by having more trips there (staff to children ratios allowing) and enjoying the large grassed open spaces, puddles, and facilities.

I would recommend this nursery and have already done so to friends and family.

Completely brilliant nursery with caring staff who go above and beyond to look after the children and provide stimulating daily activities. My son has really thrived since he joined at 12-months and is always so happy going in. I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Very caring staff and my child is so happy running into nursery. Highly recommend, extremely happy! I also sent my older son and it's so lovely seeing the same staff are still there. Love the regular updates I get throughout the day.

I have seen a lot of development on my daughter since she started attending nursery in Co-op Childcare Maida Vale. I am very happy that her social skills and speech get better and I can see how happy she is in the nursery. The nursery provides and creates activities that can help my daughters development. I really feel that it is one of my best decisions that I put my daughter in the nursery because of the support that they provide.

Our son spent sixteen, very happy months at the nursery. In spite of ongoing Covid restrictions and multiple lockdowns during that time, it was extremely well managed, committed to staying open (safely) and communication was frequent and clear. Without exception, the staff were caring, engaged and showed a real interest in our little one’s development and well-being. He would always return home content and stimulated after his day. He particularly benefitted from being able to spend time outside in the garden - rare in a central London nursery. We would recommend Co-op Childcare Maida Vale Day Nursery unreservedly.

What a lovely nursery, staff are friendly, staff help where help is needed if a child needs extra support, my daughter loves it, my daughter started in September and has settled in very well. I am very happy I chose this nursery for my daughter, they provide great activities for children to develop, I always love that they have an app of which they update you with what they are doing.

Great Nursery set-up, so much so my little one really misses it on weekends. The staff are friendly and food options are great. It doesn't have the full service feel it had pre-Covid, but I think that is the same with most nurseries. The kids love it and it's a win for us. Would highly recommend.

They could be extremely likely by my opinion if they would add some activities such as dancing, playing some musical instruments, more handcrafts. I’m so happy with them but I think they need to have these kinds of activities more often as well.

All of the staff are extremely nice and genuinely care about the children. They put on a really wide range of interesting activities. The nursery grounds (the building and garden) are very nice too. My daughter loves going there!

We have loved having our 16-month-old son at Co-op Childcare Maida Vale Day Nursery. He initially enrolled in ladybirds with the smallest baby, when he turned 1 the admin was very accomodating to allocate us a space even though they initially had no room. He was looked after by caring and supportive key workers. We especially loved the app with photos and updates on sleep and nappies and food intake, as a first-time "lockdown parent" this was very reassuring. Now he has moved on to caterpillars and is having a great time, he is now fully used to the routine and no more tears on drop-off. He is now starting to develop a whole variety of social and developmental skills and I see how the nursery staff are empowering him to become more independent. We have been so fortunate to find the Co-op! We have loved it from the very beginning. The staff are warm, kind, creative, and playful in all the right ways, and we know that our children are spending time in a loving environment. The nursery has also been incredibly flexible and accommodating with our changing schedules and family circumstances. We have truly felt like we are in excellent hands, and will be very sad to leave as we move to another part of London.
