Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-School, Maida Vale

My son started at the nursery at 7 months old. I was extremely nervous, cautious, and overprotective. The staff and management are warm, extremely patient, and flexible, not only to my son's needs but to mine as well... to help me feel comfortable in leaving him all day. They work with you and your individual child's schedule, which is so amazing.

They really take care of your children and encourage their growth and development. My son is trilingual (or hoping to be) and at 11 months, he's already saying quite a few words!

Value for money is incredible. Everything is included in the fees, which are one of the lowest I've seen in the neighbourhood.

We were extremely nervous about sending our son to nursery, so we visited several different nurseries to ensure we found the right one and by choosing the Co-operative Childcare Maida Vale nursery we have not been disappointed. Our son’s progress since attending this nursery has been incredible, particularly with his speech, vocabulary and socialising (he has a very cute group of friends). Our son loves the staff and often greets his key workers with a huge hug each morning. All staff members throughout the nursery know our son, even if we do not know or have direct contact with them. The main carers of our son’s class genuinely care for him and often show real signs of affection towards him. Communicating with the staff is a real pleasure as they listen to our requests and feedback daily on our son's activities. Overall this nursery is a friendly environment that we would happily recommend without hesitation.

We have been at this nursery for a while now. At first we were unsure about it due to the history but we have no regrets. It has really exceeded our expectations. The staff are ever so caring and friendly. Their personalities really make it easy to speak to them about anything, good and bad. Every time I go to the nursery, the staff greet me and management greet me personally. It is very rare to know so many parents names and get it right. The children are always happy and my daughter never wants to go home!! It is a lovely nursery.

I have a niece who attends this nursery for the past 3/4 months. I have got to say how impressed I am to see how much she has progressed in her younger years in such a small amount of time. She used to be a quiet girl but now she is bursting with personality at a tender age. The staff here are amazing and very attentive to each and every child. I would most definitely recommend this place to others.

My child loves being at this nursery and is really happy there, all the staff are brilliant and doing a fantastic job.

Great amenities, big rooms & there is a lot of outdoor space, which is, to me, important to note as I feel it is important kids spend time outside during the day!

Staff are very well trained and caring about our baby's development.

Convenient opening hours 07:30 - 18:30, which gives a bit more flexibility at work.

I rarely write reviews but I really wanted to write one for The Co-operative Childcare London (Maida Vale) Nursery because we've had such a fantastic experience there. My daughter joined at the end of Feb 2017 at the age of 5 months and while I was nervous about sending her to a nursery so young, all of the staff showed such genuine care and affection for my daughter that it has far exceeded all my expectations. My daughter is always smiley when I drop her off and smiley when I pick her up and the staff make such an effort to talk me through her day and any developments that have occurred, I couldn't wish for more, I would highly recommend this nursery to everyone!

The very friendly and competent staff always takes care of our child. They are flexible and attentive to our family needs. Any issues that have come up, they have been prompt with responses or solutions.

Overall it's a good nursery. My issue is limited outside space for 2 years and onwards. I also would prefer it if they would have a policy of changing shoes from those they wear outside to inside ones, as it will help with all viruses that she has been catching. However everything else is great, staff are so kind and caring, I feel that my daughter is loved and looked after very well. She loves going to nursery.

My child has attended this nursery since he was 9 months old. He's been in the babies room, toddler room and is now in the 2+ room. We have been very happy ask this time, particularly with the new management.

My daughter is very happy attending this nursery. She has made lots of friends and is very fond of the staff. The staff and management are good and I've seen a massive improvement over the past two years. The key area to improve for me is provide more healthy and freshly prepared food; I think they follow the EY guidelines however to my opinion too often they get beans on toast or ice cream and although menu has improved I think they can work a bit more on providing healthy nutritious meals with more veggies and avoiding sugary puddings.

Our daughter has been going to the Maida Vale Coop nursery for almost 2 years starting part time when she was 4 months old and going full time at age 1. She has developed beautifully throughout and has been loved and cherished by staff from day 1. It is such a relief finding a reliable caring environment for her. The hours are great, the staff are really lovely and we feel very lucky & grateful for the care provided. We love the outdoor/indoor facilities, the fact that the rooms are large and bright and that there is opportunity to learn from and socialise with the other kids.
