Co-op Childcare Woolwich is an all-on-one-level, airy nursery which is set within Brookhill Children's Centre, allowing access to special services for parents an children like health visitors, midwife appointments and childcare classes.

They use their 5 Little Pioneers to help share their core values with their children such as encouraging them to be independent to making a difference in the world. They are big on safety which is why ALL their staff are paediatric first aid trained.

They are big on happy children and that's why they have areas for growing food (and eating it), regular visits to local care homes and take care of each other and the world. They are silver eco schools accredited, a programme that sees children lead the way in making little changes that deliver big environmental differences.

Their ParentZone app keeps mums and dads informed about life at nursery with things like photos from their day, assessments, meals eaten and even toilet training progress!

Co-op Childcare Woolwich has 3 home rooms, split into the following age groups: Baby room for 3 months – 20/24 months, Toddler room for 2-3 year olds and Pre-school room for the 3-5 year olds. All three rooms lead out to the play areas as they do promote an open door policy where play is extended outdoors in all weathers.

We are so happy with the nursery and very grateful for the amazing staff there. Our daughter is really happy and continues to learn lots in pre-school. The new manager has also introduced some really positive changes to support with school readiness. The staff are really warm and caring and give so
much support to our daughters development - thank you!

My daughter joined the nursery at 9 months old in July and we couldn't be happier. She is well supported and cared for, the practitioners are always welcoming and take time to get to know and understand her. Even though my daughter attends the Ladybird room, practitioners from all rooms make a great
effort to interact and say hello which makes for a comfortable environment. My daughter is always so happy and has learnt so much. I'm excited to see how the rest of her journey goes thanks to the wonderful staff and managers! Thank you so much.

I've sent two of my children to Co-op Childcare Woolwich and have been very happy with the settling. The nursery offers a family like atmosphere with kind and caring staff who go above and beyond their daily duties. There have been some positive changes since the new manager joined in; the learning
environments are more inviting, and more resources have been purchased. Parental involvement has been strengthened with many events being organised for families to join in. The observations and next steps enable me to extend my child's learning at home.
The only disadvantage of the nursery is the doorbell system which it is not the staff fault. Its very stressful for me in the mornings to drop off children and often I need to wait to be let in which delays my journey to work. If this was in place, I would give the nursery 10/10.

My overall location of the nursery is convenient. The staff are even more amazing, incredibly helpful, and easy to communicate with. Just need a few refurbishments and improvements. They need to work on entry system a bit, even though it's much better than what it was. The play area needs a bit of work.
They need to expedite the fixing of the cameras. That's our only concern.

The nursery is a lovely, welcoming and friendly place. My daughter loves going and she has bonded with lots of staff members.
We have used the nursery for nearly 4 years altogether and even with some changes along the way, it continues to be excellent!

I wanted to take a moment to express how much we appreciate everything the nursery does for our family. The care and kindness you show our daughter means so much to us.
Your warmth, patience, and creativity create a safe and joyful space for her to grow and thrive. It's a relief knowing she's in such
loving hands, and it's clear how much she enjoys her time with you all.
Thank you for your dedication, your enthusiasm, and all the little things you do that make such a big difference in her life. We feel incredibly lucky.
You truly deserve all the recognition. Thank you.

Our twins joined the nursery in November. I don't think I could be happier with how the transition into nursery has been!
The staff in their room immediately put me at ease during the induction days, they had taken the time to learn our kids' names before they arrived and had printed out pictures
we sent to them of family members and friends!
Not once have our children cried about going to nursery and we get regular updates on what they're up to during the day.
The staff try their best to match our kids' sleeping patterns to ours at home, but give us daily updates on it.
The other children there are happy and kind. I feel that this is a reflection of the environment that the amazing staff create there.

This was the nursery of my daughter whom has currently moved up to reception, decided to send my son too as I've always been very happy with the care and love shown by all the practitioners. The baby room staff are amazing, my son is well looked after and he enjoys staying in the room. The variety of
activities is very good, but I wish the old chef could come back, as I feel the love and care she has always put into her meals was the best. Highly recommend to all my friends and people when asking about this nursery or feedback. Couldn't be happier!

My son has been at the nursery since he was 9 months old and the staff there have been instrumental to his development and well-being for the past three years. He has really flourished in terms of communication, emotionally and socially and this is all down to the patience, love, care and support he's
received from the staff. The nursery has definitely been a home away from home for my son and we are sad that we have to leave because of a change in circumstances.
A very big thank you to management and the team for your dedication and commitment for making the nursery a safe, supporting and nurturing environment. I highly recommend this nursery to all prospective parents looking for an excellent childcare setting!

My son has had a great time at this nursery with the lovely staff. It's the only nursery where he adjusted really well and I'm extremely happy with his development throughout his time at the nursery. I love that they have a wonderful outside place with so many things for the kids to do. Would highly
recommend.

I have my second child at the nursery now. It went through some not so great times before and during Covid with regards to staffing and organisation, but since new managers have taken over, all seems much better again, like it was when my first child started.
My second is flourishing. He loves all
the staff and has moved up to the next room seamlessly.
Also, their menu is outstanding! I often wish I could eat there!

Thank you all for your hard work in supporting and guiding my daughter's development, she has developed into a confident and capable child.
I'm extremely proud with how much progress my daughter has made over the years, how well she had settled into each class as she grows and how well the practitioners
and all staff have done in their role, so dedicated, patient and committed to each child's needs and learning journey.

My daughter has been attending the nursery for 2 months now and the staff have been so caring towards us. The transition from home to nursery has gone smoothly as they have followed through with my daughter’s routine. I get regular updates of what she is doing during the day, I have also requested photos
of her and when they can I get sent photos of activities she has taken part in during the day. I feel I can call the nursery and check on how my daughter is doing. My daughter enjoys the food here and the room and garden have lots of fun activities to keep her busy and engaged.

I'm really happy with Co-op Childcare Day Nursery and their service is worth all the money. The good things about the nursery:
App - it gives you real-time updates about your child, so it's lovely to get alerts while you're at work of your child playing or even seeing what they've eaten through the
day.
Staff - all the staff are super helpful and friendly from your child's key worker to the manager. Staff are very responsive to the app and face to face and take on any observation seriously.
Activities - your child has access to great learning facilities as well as a large outdoor space which is rare in London.
Observations are done weekly which helps with your child's development at home.
My daughter absolutely loves the nursery which makes it easier to leave her when I go to work.
For what you pay the service is a bargain.

My daughter attended this nursery for a short period just before we moved. It was very upsetting to leave! The staff are amazing, caring and attentive to all the children. All staff are very supportive towards the parents, as well as the building being very clean with a professional setting for the
children. Health and safety is very high, which leaves no concerns once the little ones are behind the doors! I would recommend anyone to join. I’m sad we were unable to stay. Yet to find a replacement as good as this nursery.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.620)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.620) out of 10 for Co-op Childcare Woolwich is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 28 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 27 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.620 for Co-op Childcare Woolwich is calculated as follows: ( (227 Excellents x 5) + (87 Goods x 4) + (20 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 334 Ratings = 4.62
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Co-op Childcare Woolwich is based on 27 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 52 number of registered child places is 10.4, which has been reached with 27 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
