Busy Bees Greenwich offers a welcoming environment for children aged from birth to five years old. With fun-filled activities and fantastic learning resources, your child will thrive during their stay at nursery!

At the nursery, the team work hard to keep each child engaged and busy throughout the day, helping them to build their confidence, curiosity and independence whilst they explore their interests.

Throughout the nursery there are bright and airy rooms designed to suit each age group and developmental stage. To help prepare pre-school children for the next big steps in their educational journey, the highly experienced team follow the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) curriculum when organising activities so that they are prepared for the school environment.

You can keep up to date through the Parent Zone app during your child's stay at nursery. The fantastic team will provide you with updates through the app on what your little one is getting up to, so you never miss a moment.

My son loves the nursery, he has come on leaps and bounds being there. I know when it comes to leaving for school this September he will miss all his friends and the staff team who are fantastic. He talks about his day and the fun he has had. His happiness shows we choose the right nursery for him.

This is my second review, as my younger son now attends Busy Bees. He absolutely loves it. Has great connections with the team, especially one member of staff in particular. Every day he says he had a fun time and brings home his creations and paintings.
I am always pleased with the level of communication
received from the management team and key person. Not only do they focus on play, but their development side comes along so much. At 3 years old he can identify all letters, write his name and write out words when we call out the letters. I will always recommend this nursery and have been very happy with both of my sons' experiences here.

My grandson loves Busy Bees at Greenwich. He has thrived in the nursery environment with the help of his key workers. Every time I pick him up, it seems he has learnt something new. The feedback I get from the staff is very good. During this difficult time with Covid, it’s been lovely seeing the pictures
of the children’s in the pick-up area.

My little boy was a very shy little boy before starting this nursery, me and my husband have seen such growth in him with just over a year attending Busy Bee Greenwich. Staff are all so caring and understanding of my son's skin condition and go over and above to ensure we are kept updated with how he
is doing and ensuring that our son is safe and well. Friendly and professional staff members who are trustworthy and always greet you with a smile. I would highly recommend this nursery and I'm so pleased with how much they have helped our little boy grow and thrive!

Our son has been at Busy Bees since he was 8-months-old. He’s now two and a half and is absolutely thriving there.
Since he started, his communication skills have advanced rapidly, and they only continue to improve. He’s incredibly happy at nursery and cared with for affection by the staff, all whilst
being professional.
If we share things our son showed an interest in at home, then the nursery staff support his learning by building on this - adapting activities to advance his development. They also challenge him to learn new skills, which they share with us so we can support his learning at home.
The nursery team listen to any feedback we have, and handle us with the same patience and care they employ with my son.
I deeply appreciate how wonderful they’ve been as it has alleviated a lot of my ‘mum guilt’ about leaving him in the care of other people.
I would highly recommend this nursery.

Best nursery in the local area. The rooms are tidy and well equipped to educate the child. My daughter loves their garden and her carer. The only recommendation is to provide the monthly report for the parents to know how their child is progressing. Other than that, it is a fantastic nursery.
Reply from Kirsty Dunlop, Centre Director at Busy Bees GreenwichThank you for your review of the nursery. We provide all parents with access to Parent Zone, where parents can view observations and assessments of their child throughout the week, month and year. So please check this out, I will be in contact to support with this to ensure you are able to view your child's account. Many thanks.

Someone recommended Busy Bees to me in 2012 when my daughter was old enough to start in a nursery. She started in 2013 and finished at Busy bees in 2016. And when it was time for my second child to start nursery, I didn't have to think about which nursery he was going to. I immediately enrolled him
also at Busy Bees.
My family have been satisfied with our time here. I have had the peace of mind every time I dropped my children off and when I pick them up.
I would choose Busy Bees, Greenwich over and over again if I have to do this again.
Thank you to all the staff. Thank you for loving my babies. Thank you for nurturing them when we put them in your care. I am definitely going to miss the nursery and the familiar faces.

We have found Busy Bees, Greenwich, to be a fantastic nursery. In the last 3 weeks, we have seen our daughter gain a lot of confidence. She is so happy to go to the nursery and enjoys the facilities. Your staff are brilliant at the centre and we have complete faith in them and their abilities.

This is a lovely nursery that our daughter (who is due to leave for reception) has attended since turning one. It was an anxious decision for us to leave her, being first-time parents, however, the staff went above and beyond to get her settled, support her through the years and even did a great job
with weaning and potty training which took the time off our hands. We received daily feedback so that we were involved and aware of our daughter's day at the nursery.
Our daughter has been very happy at this nursery and has formed great relationships with all staff and children. She comes home happy and speaks fondly of her day. The staff are cheerful, helpful and knowledgeable and answer any queries or handle any issues very promptly and professionally. We will be very sad to move on as this has been a great experience for us all and a positive influence on our daughter's early years which we feel has prepared her for the next stage at reception.

Both children have attended this nursery. They both are happy and often talk about their key workers at home. That's a good sign they have created a good relationship. The manager is always willing to act on any request. They are a good team and makes life easy.

Two of my daughters have attended this nursery (one of them is currently still attending whereas the other has moved on to school). Above anything when choosing childcare of any sorts you need to be comfortable with where you leave your children. I can say hand-on-heart that I am always comfortable
leaving my children in the care of the staff at Busy Bees. It has to be around five years they have been looking after my children and inevitably in that time staff have come and gone but they are always great. Staff are hot on policy and procedure to ensure the safety and well-being of the children but at the same time easy going with real-world working parents in a rush, who of course forget to bring things in or have accidentally brought in their child dressed in Pyjamas (guilty). Overall Busy Bee's Greenwich have a spotless track record with my children and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

My daughter has been at Busy Bees for the last three years and my son was also previously here, and I have always been extremely happy with the level of care the nursery has provided, both of my children have been very happy here. Two things which really set the nursery apart for me are the staff and
the outdoor play spaces.
The staff really care for the kids, and there is a good mix of younger staff and more experienced staff members in each room, and I always felt that the transition between rooms was handled very well. Communication is good, any concerns I’ve ever raised have been dealt with quickly and I like the app that shares pictures and observations.
My daughter is going to school soon and her key worker has really gone above and beyond in helping her learn her phonics and letters.
The outdoor garden is huge compared to most others in the area and it is heavily used all year round in all weathers which is great for the kids- my little ones loved it.

We are very pleased with the excellent childcare offered at Busy Bees, Greenwich. Our daughter attends and receives excellent care by professional staff who very clearly care for the children and want to provide the best. We feel at ease leaving our daughter at Busy Bees while we go to work and return
to find a happy child. To me that is the best feedback I can offer, knowing that I have peace of mind and feel safe to leave my daughter with you.

From the beginning, I have been very pleased with this nursery and the various people who have people who have cared for my daughter. She shows improvement in one way or another every time I pick her up.
In the summer, she gets to spend time in a fantastic garden too.

I have been using Busy Bees Greenwich since my daughter was 11 months and have always been happy. The nursery is clean, the practitioners are always attentive and really bond with the children. Food is freshly made and always appropriate to the children's age/needs. I love their great garden as I think
it is important for the kids to be outside when the weather permits. Now my daughter is almost 2 years and we are very happy.

My daughter has been with Busy Bees for around 18 months. It's difficult for any parent dropping off their child for the first time, especially when so young, but the support, love and care that the team have shown towards her is simply phenomenal. From her assigned key workers to the chefs through
to the management and everyone else who works at the nursery, everyone on the Greenwich Busy Bees team is amazing and my daughter loves every one of them.

The children are often entertained with lots of activities, the rooms are happy places, full of toys, books and pictures of the children and their families. The home cooked food, which is specifically designed for each age group is tasty and delicious. An outside play area is also a great place -, especially in the summer.

I simply cannot fault the place at all and I'm forever grateful for everyone at the nursery for playing such a major role in the nurture and development of my daughter.

When I first left my son was heartbroken because he had never been left with someone else before. He cried for few days but the staff cuddled him and comforted me and let me tell you that now, that just after 1 month he is smiling and waiting to go to nursery.
I don't know how they did it but is
unbelievable.
He comes home and eats by himself, singing.. And is only 16 months. Knowing that my son is safe and in good hands, well fed and looked after, makes me go to work without worrying about him. Thank you Busy Bees.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.480)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.480) out of 10 for Busy Bees Greenwich is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.6 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.898 for Busy Bees Greenwich is calculated as follows: ( (97 Excellents x 5) + (11 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 108 Ratings = 4.898
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.582 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Greenwich is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 51 number of registered child places is 10.2. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 10.2 = 0.882
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
