Crews Hill Day Nursery and Pre-School

Couldn’t recommend the nursery more highly!

Our son has been attending Head Start Day Nursery for nearly 2 years now and we are so happy that we chose the setting for him. He loves playing outdoors so we are pleased that he can spend a lot of time in the amazing outdoor areas of the nursery. The staff are all so caring and attentive, our son has additional needs and the nursery Special Educational Needs Coordinator has been brilliant and informative and helpful on that front too. The daily activities are great for learning, the menu is varied and healthy, and our son is always very happy to go to nursery in the mornings. Thank you Head Start, I don’t know what we would do without you!

All the staff are friendly, the food choices are amazing. The location is great with nature on the doorstep for the children to learn. All in all a great nursery, my little one has been so happy here and is excited to go every day.

The outside space was a huge attraction to us when choosing the nursery and the children get so much benefit from this all year round.

The staff at Head Start Day Nursery Crews Hill really are an asset to the nursery. They make it such a wonderful, kind and caring environment for the children to learn and grow. My nephew is extremely happy within the setting and it’s so amazing to see what he gets up to on the online log. The garden space is just fantastic. You can really see all the effort that goes into the nursery on a daily basis!

My child was behind for his age due to not being able to go anywhere during lockdown, he has flourished since being at Head Start Day Nursery. The staff are friendly and so helpful, they build relationships with the children instead of just being there to look after them. My son looks forward to going every day never a single tear.

Our cheeky little one has thrived, made loads of new friends, eats like a king and even came home last week talking Spanish. The staff are very warm and our little one adores them.

Nursery was a very big step for us as our daughter is our first baby, she was born during lockdown so spent a lot of time at home. It is a really reassuring feeling knowing she is in safe hands and is welcomed with open arms. Her key worker is very warm and nurturing as well as the other staff that she has bonded with. Her development has come on leaps and bounds since starting nursery. It is a brilliant space and great learning environment and we are really happy we chose this nursery. Thank you to all the staff, you are all fantastic at what you do.

Head Start Day Nursery Crews Hill is an amazing nursery, my 2-year-old son is always happy and excited to go in when I drop him off in the morning and I can tell he's had a great day at pick up. I always receive detailed feedback at the end of the day which is comforting to know they pay attention to detail on his development throughout the day. The food is very good as my son seems to eat more there than he does at home. I would happily recommend Head Start.

We absolutely love this setting. The staff are so friendly and really care about the children. The learning journey is always so well planned with fantastic experiences and activities to help the children learn in a practical way. Communication with parents is really good with daily updates, weekly memos and regular emails. We really could not be happier and neither could our son.

My friends have even signed up too. Can’t wait for him to start.

Good communication with all staff, they know the children well and have a great rapport with the children. There are lots of different planned activities around children’s current interests and when celebrating special days/events. I love that my 19-month-old takes part in music and Spanish lessons at the nursery! Good outdoor area too.

Very engaging nursery with great activities for the kids. Our child loves going there and has come on so much since she started especially around engaging with other kids. Very happy with how everything is going.

Staff are all so friendly and fantastic with the children. My daughter is thriving with all that she is learning and every day she surprises me with new questions or statements. She is so happy in her class with lots of friends, loves the food (She eats better than I do) and all the extra activities they do.

The nursery setting is fantastic, with learning and development making the most of the fabulous outdoor space the children can enjoy. Staff are so welcoming and engaged in the children's wellbeing and work closely with parents to mirror progress at home. The food is outstanding! Very highly recommended.

The communication and support is always there and we have decided to keep him at the nursery for preschool, rather than a maintained nursery.

They are easily contactable, always greet you with a happy demeanour on drop off and pick up. I receive in-depth feedback both face to face and via the app. They make me feel relaxed about sending my baby to nursery and especially at such a young age as they seem to really care.

We look forward to seeing how she continues to develop.

Amazing nursery. Super friendly staff. The amount of feedback we get from the nursery regarding my daughter's day is perfect. The food served during the day is varied and healthy sometimes I get a bit jealous!
