Northcote Montessori Independent Nursery School is a private daycare nursery.

Situated on Salcott Road. At their last inspection in July 2023, the nursery was awarded a Good from Ofsted.

The nursery is open full-time from 7:30 am – 7:00 pm caring for children from 3 months to 5 years.

Children are encouraged to develop and build upon their abilities in all areas of learning and take pride in their achievements.

Children quickly gain independence, self-confidence and an enthusiasm for learning. The innovative and exciting curriculum encourages the children to develop all the characteristics needed for effective learning.

The nursery works in partnership with parents to prepare children for entry into well-regarded schools in the local and surrounding areas.

The nursery has been completely refurbished and the rooms are equipped with state of the art educational resources, providing environments rich in exciting and engaging learning opportunities and experiences which are tailored to meet children's individual interests.

The nursery's chef prepares all the children's meals fresh on the premises each day.

The nursery has gone above and beyond to accommodate our childcare needs post COVID. I couldn’t feel more grateful to the management and the staff at Bennerley house. My daughter loves going to nursery and she loves her teachers. I would recommend the nursery to any of my friends!

Our 2-year-old son started at the nursery in July. After over four months stuck at home with just his mum and dad in lockdown we were worried about how he would get on but he settled in almost immediately, which was thanks to the very attentive and welcoming staff. We have also been very impressed with
the amount of indoor and outdoor space and the activities on offer. Overall we are very pleased with our choice of nursery.

Northcote House is nothing short of brilliant. Our son loved going to Northcote House and the whole team are fantastic, they are all so kind and caring.
The facilities are great (it's the only nursery around the area, I’m not joking, the rest are in basements or just have skylights in converted churches.
I did not want my son spending the day in the dark!) and the food always freshly cooked.
The activities were so varied and he would return after an action-packed day with a smile on his face and exhausted. The variety of activities would always surprise me when I picked him up.
He even learnt to share in less than a month of joining, aged 13-months! He also learnt to pick a book a come on sit on our lap to read it, the sweetest thing and definitely learnt from Northcote House.
We are so sad to be leaving, but are so pleased he had such a great start to education.

My child and his sibling have attended this nursery and all I have to say is positive things. During this uncertain period (Coronavirus) the communication has been clear and consistent. The man in the Pre school room has really lifted my child’s learning. The Pre school room and staff are exemplary,
my child is always happy to tell me what they have learnt and the variety of activities is exceptional. The food is also good and the manager is very professional.

We viewed many nurseries in the area before choosing this one. The warmth of the staff was key for us; all of the staff made us feel welcome on our initial visit. This has then continued throughout us joining the nursery. My child’s key worker is always available for me to talk to and informs me of
my child’s day. The activities on offer are great; my child never wants to come home. The nursery is clean and well resourced.

My child certainly loves the nursery and so do we. There are lots of positives about this nursery. The manager and staff team are amazing, so caring and wonderful. This nursery has gone from strength to strength. When I drop off in the morning there are always new activities set out. The change in management from last year has had a massive positive impact, not only on the staff but as us as parents too.
The environment is clean safe and well resourced.
A special
mention to the preschool room and the changes I have seen, I am very impressed, such as the roll-out of homework.

I regularly pick up my granddaughter from the baby room, all of the staff are warm, friendly and kind.
The room environment is outstanding and clean and there are lots of resources on offer.
I always get really thorough feedback from the staff about what she has done and what she has learnt.

The food is very nutritious too.

This nursery is truly spectacular. The staff are kind caring and attentive.
The manager is very helpful and is flexible.
When picking up my child she is always happy and engaged. The children go on a variety of outings and take part in regular cooking. I love the garden activities and in the toddlers
garden they have had a new planter installed and we have been invited to come in and help plant it with flowers and herbs.
We are so very involved in our child’s development and feel valued as parents.

My child started at Northcote House in November 2019. The staff have been amazing at helping my daughter settle in and gave her a lovely book about the toddler room and who worked in there to help her settle in. They have made us feel very welcome and the staff are very warm and it is evident in the

Wow! I went and visited this nursery with my daughter, as she was feeling very anxious about leaving her baby.
On entering the nursery the manager was friendly and very welcoming, she made us feel at ease from the onset.
The facilities are clean and rooms are well resourced.
We chose this nursery
as the staff engagement on the tour was second to none, all children were happy and engaged in activities.
All the staff said Hello to me on the initial tour, and now when I go and pick my granddaughter up from the nursery, they make a fuss of her they are always smiling and nothing is ever too much.
The menu is also amazing and I love the fruit bowl that is for the parents.
Highly recommend this home from home setting.

This nursery is the best in the area by far. It is an excellent environment for the children and the staff are so attentive to my child's needs. My son always tells me about the activities he has done. I love how they do cooking and go on regular outings. I highly recommend the nursery. You will not

My nephew attends Northcote House toddler room and I have to say this nursery is fabulous. The activities available for the children look so beautiful and engaging.
I also love that each room has their own private garden so they can personalise it to the children in their room.
The staff in the room
are amazing and super helpful and give in-depth handovers which is great because when I’m picking up I’m able to tell my nephew's parents about a 'wow moment' (as they call it) my nephew has had and what he has eaten and slept, etc.
Personally I also like that the room leader is male and is providing a “father figure” to the children. Considering it’s a female-dominated industry I feel it’s really amazing to have this and he is very friendly and has lots of experience and knowledge which is great.
The manager is also so helpful and lovely. I was running late one day due to traffic and she was so helpful and supportive and told me not to worry or panic get here when I can as these things happen.

The staff have been so kind and caring, and our 2-year-old son has settled in really well. He loves the range of activities, the baking, the big garden and the regular outings to the park. His speech has developed very quickly too. He comes home singing new songs and talking about his friends and the
