Northcote Montessori Independent Nursery School is a private daycare nursery.

Our son continues to thrive at this nursery. Watching him grow from a curious toddler into a confident, chatty little boy has been such a joy, and so much of that credit goes to the incredible staff who care for him every day.
The activities are always engaging, encouraging independence, imagination,
and kindness. We've seen such positive development in his social skills, communication, and confidence - all thanks to the nurturing environment and consistency provided most recently by the preschool staff.
The new manager's presence has brought a renewed sense of energy and warmth, and we really value the open communication and care she provides to families. Her passion and commitment to the children is truly inspiring. It's clear she is deeply invested in the happiness and development of every child who walks through the nursery doors.
From the baby room to preschool, every member of staff has played such an important part in our son's early years. Thank you Northcote Montessori!

A fantastic nursery with world class facilities. All the staff are very caring and go above and beyond to make the children feel safe and loved. The opening hours (both drop off and collection) are great for working parents.

We are loving the new Northcote Montessori on Salcott Road. Having recently undergone an extensive refurb, the nursery now includes an impressive sensory room and nap space. The toys and the different rooms for different ages are beautiful and clean. The children have access to outside spaces and are
also regularly taken out to Wandsworth common. The staff have been lovely, our little one looks forward to her days at nursery with her friends.

My son joined Northcote House (now Northcote Montessori) in June this year just before he turned 1. I first viewed the nursery under the previous management and it has been completely transformed since the refurbishment under the new manager Vicky who has been amazing. The space is very big and welcoming.
The babies have their own dedicated baby garden and baby sensory room. Most importantly all of the staff are so caring and friendly. Particularly Ferdous in the baby room who is truly incredible and caring - my son jumps out of my arms with excitement when he sees Ferdous which I have always thought is a great sign of the relationships the staff have built with him. The children get to do many activities with lots of variety and I get very detailed updates and photos every day via the app. Like most parents I was anxious for my little one to start nursery and the experience with Northcote Montessori has exceeded my expectations.

We started at the nursery in September and have been very happy. Vicky and the rest of the staff have been so warm and accommodating with our daughter. I can really feel that the staff in her room care about her and are getting to know her personality. It makes me feel so much better dropping her off
each day, knowing she's getting that kind of care and attention.
The updates through the app have also been great! They do so many activities every day, spend time in the beautiful garden, and eat from a really impressive menu. We're so happy with our decision to send our daughter here!

The nursery has greatly improved in recent months. The new nursery manager has been a great addition and she has gone above and beyond even suggesting we go for tax-free childcare that we hadn't been aware of. Really for the area the nursery is the most flexible for people who work - providing all day

Our son has been at Northcote House Nursery since November 2023, and we have been very pleased with the care and attention he has received. In particular the staff in the baby room have been fantastic, and the manager has also been great - very attentive, very engaged with each child. We were very reassured
with how well they dealt with our son's egg allergy, and we were also grateful at the flexibility they allowed us at the start. Updates to the app (describing daily activities as well as food, sleep, nappies etc.) are very regular. We had no prior experience of any other nursery, and were a bit nervous initially given some previous reviews, but our experience since November 2023 has been nothing but positive.

I have been with the nursery since early 2022. It went through a difficult time last year with changes in management and staff - we weren’t sure whether to stick or twist. However, there is now much better consistency in staff, and the manager is very engaged and open to listening to feedback. I have
a child in the baby room and the preschool room, and I am really happy with both. Lovely big open rooms to explore, plenty of activities, outdoor space, trips out to local areas, music sessions and most importantly regular caring staff.
Disclaimer - I haven’t experienced the new toddler room yet (18m-30m), which is obviously the toughest age to handle but I am optimistic with them in charge.

We are so happy with Northcote House. My daughter, who is 2 is delighted to attend every day; she rushes in and is greeted by such a lovely, friendly and caring team. She’s made friends and actively enjoys and looks forward to all the activities they provide. The nursery makes to huge effort to make

After a fairly recent change in management of the nursery, we have seen some improvements at Northcote House Nursery. The main thing for me as a parent is to see my child happily arriving each day, eager to greet the staff and other children. My child has received wonderful care from her key worker
since she joined the nursery as a baby. The staff at the nursery work really hard and the children always seem really happy! We love the team at Northcote House!

We have been with the nursery for two and a half years and in that time have seen a lot of changes, and some very mixed results. I am pleased to say that we are now very happy with the nursery, and would single out the nursery manager's leadership as a key factor. She has listened to parents and implemented
our feedback (e.g reinstating early drop-off). She communicates clearly and proactively and follows up. She gives an amazing welcome every morning and has implemented lots of lovely touches to improve the experience. Staff and children seem happy and motivated (not always the case historically). She brings positive energy and a can-do attitude. The kids are happy and stimulated and learning. Would encourage management to keep supporting the nursery manager in her campaign to continually improve, and keep seeking feedback from parents. Only other point is invoices could be clearer in terms of itemisation. Keep up the good work!

Since the management change last summer, we have seen such a wonderful transformation at the nursery. The team has been so thoughtful about how to make the nursery lovely and welcoming every morning, with varied activities, competent and friendly staff and good communication with parents. I love to

The nursery has been through some challenging times, with staff rotations and multiple changes, especially in the baby room last year. The current management’s extremely hard work in the summer of 2023 has warranted an extraordinary change and I’ve been very happy with the care in the latest months.
The care providers are very attentive and caring towards children, offer them exciting and varied developmental opportunities daily and clearly have a plan and structure in place. I also appreciate the healthy menu that the children are provided with. The managers are absolute stars.

My experience with the nursery was disappointing. Initially promising, it deteriorated after key staff left, leading to high turnover, inconsistent care and constantly changing agency staff. Despite multiple meetings with the area manager, staff turnover continued. Not to mention the new manager was
later under investigation and all the area manager said - it wasn't related to childcare.
To be fair, the permanent staff genuinely tried, but the company running the nursery offered little support, prioritizing profit over childcare. Shockingly, this nursery is the most expensive in the area while providing minimal value for such high fees.
My biggest regret is not switching sooner. My daughter's development and well-being improved immensely after the change. Near the end, she cried during drop-offs but the staff were too overwhelmed to help her settle down, plus the merger of toddler and pre-toddler rooms left older children neglected.
Hope my feedback can serve as a warning to other parents.

My child goes to Northcote House and I cannot emphasise how caring they are towards her! The staff are brilliant and the bond between my daughter and them is so special. It makes me really happy dropping her off every day and seeing how ecstatic she is about seeing not just her friends but the carers
too! What I also love about Northcote House is that they listen to me and when I ask anything of them they always deliver and go above and beyond. It really does feel like you’re part of a family and a community. My daughter has come so far and has learned so much being there, I’m so proud of her and thankful for them.

Wonderful nursery. My little boy has been in both pre-nursery and nursery classes so far and he absolutely loves it. Fantastic range of activities, he brings home all sorts of artwork, food he has baked, smoothies he's made, etc. Outings to the common, playground, library and shops to buy ingredients.
A great all-around experience. Sweet free-flow garden too with all sorts of trikes and ride-on toys. Structured educational play combined with free play is excellent. All staff are energetic, smiley and very caring, led by the wonderful manager. Thank you Northcote House!

Totally blown away by the nursery and facilities. On the first initial visit I knew this was the nursery for me and my child. The manager was warm, caring and passionate. On the first settling in visit the staff were nurturing the nursery is clean and well resourced.
