The new Childcare Hub is Kids Play’s home of nature-based play. With all rooms having free-flow access to woodland gardens, children can fully connect with the great outdoors.

Whether the child is 6 months or 5 years, the setting has the resources to further their development. Babies' motor skills are encouraged with natural wooden toys, toddlers love water and creative play, whilst pre-schoolers can’t get enough of the forest school activities and storytelling in the Hobbit house.

To encourage children to care for animals, the pre-schoolers help look after Gary the giant land snail, whilst the resident rabbits and guinea pigs live in the toddler garden.

Being the home of nature-based play, little green figures are nurtured. On the roof garden, children can plant and care for vegetables and herbs, to use them for their own pizza creations which they cook in the outside pizza oven.

Across Kids Play Childcare, it uses child-led learning called ‘planning in the moment’. This enables practitioners to build on a child’s natural interest and turn any play into a learning opportunity.

Children from the Hub love exploring their BRAND NEW Nursery Gardens, and enjoy weekly visits to local attraction Thrift Farm where they take part in Forest School Sessions. Here children enjoy building dens, climbing trees and exploring nature.

Even in the baby room, there is genuine free flow access to their own separate outdoor space which is amazing. All staff are friendly and have great relationships with the children. The catering team do an excellent job of dealing with my son's allergies and my son eats a brilliant variety of healthy
nutritious food. Security is good with fingerprint access. A wide range of activities are offered and they encourage the children to pursue things they are interested in. For instance, the baby room have just ordered some new toddler bikes in response to the more active children being interested in them having seen the older children on them. Reporting back to the parents isn't as good as other nurseries but my son is well looked after and happy here which is the most important thing.

We love The Childcare Hub but more importantly, our Son adores it. The staff have been so attentive in his transitions from part time to full time and we can't praise them enough for the peace of mind we have knowing that he is so well cared for.

Where have you been all our lives!
This is an amazing nursery, our daughter has settled in very quickly, she is coming on leaps and bounds since she started and has made lots of new friends.
She gets fed so much lovely healthy and a variety of food.
The nursery is always clean and the staff are
very easy to approach about any issues. They are very helpful, friendly and most importantly caring.

I was a very anxious mummy when my daughter started nursery. This was quickly noted by the staff who then arranged extra settling in sessions to put my mind at ease and took the time to really help me and my daughter become excited about starting nursery.
Everyone is always so friendly and friendly
and helpful and my baby girl has a ball at the nursery. She is always greeted by happy staff who have set up the most exciting activities.

Generally very satisfied about the service. My son always enjoys which is one big plus.
Only concerns are the content of some meals - pizza, pancakes, ice-cream etc for a 2-year-old. I would prefer health cooked meals including a lot of vegetables as it is critical they learn (and eat) to eat healthy
food at this age. The absence of vegetables at some meals surprises me.
The second thing is sleep. When the Bluebell room is full the sleep quantity and quality is less and inferior.
Finally, I do have reserve and concern about the next room where there is up to 40 (40!!) 2-3-year-olds in one room not much bigger and the consequent quality of care!
I would like to underline that the Bluebell staff does an amazing job!

My son has been at the nursery for just over 2 months now. He has settled in very well and we are extremely pleased with the care he is getting. The carers in the baby room are always pleased to see my son and are very interested in his care and development.
I feel fully up to date in what he is doing
at nursery and look forward to the weekly updates on the parents portal.

My daughter has settled in very well at nursery and enjoys going there each day. She has developed very good relationships with all the staff and is always excited to see them.
She partakes in lots of activities every day and we get excellent feedback on her day and an observation each week which is
so lovely to hear and read. I am really happy we chose the childcare hub and feel my daughter is developing well there.

As I am sure is the same for most parents, leaving your child for the 1st time at nursery is a scary day. If I had known then what I know now, then there was nothing to worry about. Amazing carers, amazing facility and I just know my son always gets looked after and has developed so much.

My son has attended this new pre-school premises for coming up to nearly a year now - it recently split the pre-school age groups into two so any children going to school this September are grouped together-this move really showed my son's progress and development as activities are more focused to getting
ready for school. His mark making has really come along and he has always loved books but he can write his name clearly now and recognise letters and begun to read basic books. Jan 18 saw the start of forest schools in the programme too and he really loves this - the facilities are excellent and they have new minibuses to take children off-site to other places to do forest schools further afield too. The communication through the learning diary is really useful too - it keeps me up to date and shows how he has developed and what he has been up to.

I love Kids Play at Knowlhill. The staff are superb. They are kind and patient and you can see the kids adore them.
Any parent is nervous about leaving their child but they put me at ease and I've seen my children benefit from all the activities.
It's a great mix of play based learning, using the
child's interests creative activities and fun. Great outdoor space (with an upgraded nursery being built to open Summer 2017). It's a very friendly, relaxed atmosphere but with good routines and structure.
Good variety of healthy meals, it's a really positive environment where your child is developed, individually known and build great relationships.

My daughter loves going to this nursery. She talks about it all weekend and skips in each morning. We even have to pick her up later than we could to avoid tears if she has to leave earlier than her friends. They do so many activities and learn so much, far more than I ever could at home. I feel she's
being prepared well for the eventual transition into preschool and school. The staff are fantastic - there is a very low turnover and the kids love them.
