Buttercups Chalfont Park is set across three historic buildings in beautiful parkland. The newly refurbished Orangery is the home of the under 2s, with lots of space to play, a separate sleep room and a garden to themselves. Also newly refurbished, the Lodge houses 2-3 year olds who have access to two garden areas. Finally, the preschool children enjoy the Pavilion, a purpose-built building filled with light. The Pavilion has a dedicated Montessori area and opens onto a fantastic outdoor space. The preschool children also enjoy regular Forest School sessions and swimming lessons at a nearby school.

At the nursery there is a focus on "learning through play", promoting children's natural sense of curiosity, independence and critical thinking skills. There is also emphasis on a range of teaching approaches, including Montessori and HighScope.

The team of experienced practitioners are well supported throughout their roles, allowing them to be the best educators they can be. This is achieved through regular in-house training programmes and external courses.

I cannot recommend Buttercups at Chalfont highly enough, my daughter is thriving from attending this nursery. The activities, meals and communication are all brilliant. The facilities and activities for 0-2 years are well-suited and effective.

It is a fantastic nursery with great facilities and staff. The area is clean/green and pollution-free which I thought was equally important for kids.
Staff is really good and takes a keen interest in all kids. I can see a difference in my own children. Elder one is being taught well not just the basics
of education but also etiquettes, behaviour and interpersonal skills. The little one is well looked after and loved in the baby room. I would highly recommend this nursery.

We have been extremely lucky to find such a fabulous nursery. Every aspect has been excellent and most of all my son has loved every minute. The head of the Montessori in the hub, we will never forget you and appreciate all the hours of work you have put into looking after him and making him 'school
ready'. Your passion for Montessori teaching and the love you show to your children is second to none, you have been such a support. Thank you all.

Lovely nursery, very happy with my son's development and all the teachers. The hub is a great place where he has made lots of friends and is happy to return to every day. He's learnt a lot and grown into a confident boy with all the teachers' help, amazingly well looked after and he's so happy.

Chalfont Park Nursery has been an amazing nursery for my child. The first nursery he went to I was really not happy with and took our son out. Coming to Buttercups at Chalfont was a big step for me. Being a nursery manager in the past myself, I'm very critical but as soon as I walked in I knew I was
happy for our son. The Hub has been the best experience for him and us. My son's main teacher has been the most amazing educator for our son, he has been worried about Montessori at times and together we all worked to make him happy with getting involved. We as a family will miss her massively. Hopefully one day we will be back with our second child.

Fab nursery!
The staff are lovely and the facilities are like no other nursery I’ve seen before.
The nursery it’s self is very secure and safe.

Buttercups at Chalfont are an amazing nursery. Both of our children attended. Our youngest started when she was 8 months old and she will leave this summer to go to school. At each age, Buttercups as been a terrific place for our children. They always loved going, loved all members of staff and the
other kids. Everything is nice and sweet as it should be at that age. The new building with the playground is great and our youngest is raving about the forest school. I cannot recommend Buttercups highly enough.

Absolutely fabulous staff! Caring, friendly, attentive, professional, supportive.
I feel completely at ease when I leave my girl at pre-school. There is such a fantastic vibe at this place that my girl can't wait to go there every time!
Staff is very approachable and always willing to help if you
have questions or seeking advice. The main teacher is fabulous! Her knowledge fascinates me and I feel so blessed to have her by my side when my girl is starting to build her confidence, social skills and communication within the community environment. It is also amazing that not only the head teacher is taking ownership of kids education here, there are a number of fabulous staff members who are kind of "acting" teachers and supervising kids development very closely.
My girl started blossoming here and I am very thankful for this to all the team at Chalfont Hub!

Our eldest daughter attended Buttercups at Chalfont for four years and our youngest daughter has attended for a year.
The staff are great - they take time and great care and consideration of the requirements of each child as an individual and our daughters have had a wonderful time there.
The new
Hub building is especially brilliant - both the indoor and outdoor space is a fantastic learning environment and the Montessori approach has been very supportive in preparing for moving to a school environment.
I would highly recommend both the nursery and the staff.

My daughter is very happy at Buttercups and is well looked after. I have no concerns about her being there. The staff turnover is quite high but they are all very caring and loving to the children. I would recommend to others.

Buttercups at Chalfont Park is a lovely nursery. My child settled in very quickly and has been very happy, loved and safe there for 6 months. I can tell that the staff genuinely care for her physically, emotionally and in her development. Her key worker clearly invests a lot of energy and effort
in developing her various skills - social, verbal, mathematics. I would confidently recommend Buttercups to any mum or dad in the area.

I have 3 sons and they have all enjoyed their time at Buttercups in Chalfont. The boys have been extremely happy, they have learnt and developed well and have enjoyed some lovely relationships with the staff. The new hub has enabled that final year at the nursery before reception to be more focused
on getting the children ready for school in safe and familiar surroundings. My husband and I are extremely grateful for everything that the nursery has given us and our boys.

My son has been attending Chalfont Buttercups since he was 6 months old. He is now nearly 4. Its often a tough choice for working parents as to where their child can be looked after. So how incredible for me to find Chalfont Buttercups. The staff are exceptional; the love and care they give my child
is beautiful to watch. I have always felt 100% confident in the competence and care of the staff. It's a brilliant, caring, fun, happy and structured environment. If you want your child to have fun, flourish, engage with others positively, understand social interaction, be disciplined when it comes to meal times/sharing/manners etc and receive an all-rounded education then this is the place for them. I highly recommend this nursery.

A 'home away from home' - that was my first impression when I visited this nursery when choosing the best place to send my twin daughters. Six months later, I still feel the same way. The nursery is smaller than others I saw, but the facilities are great, and, most importantly, the staff are absolutely
exceptional. They give individually tailored care to each child to help them develop into the unique people that they all are. The staff give detailed feedback so you know just how your child has done at nursery and feel informed of their development. All staff are friendly and ensure that you know them all by name (not just the key worker in charge of your child), helping to develop a really strong relationship between parents and the nursery. Would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone.

Miss Kirti has been working at Buttercups for over 9 years based in our Preschool room teaching children aged 3 years to 5 years. As well as guiding and scaffolding children with her outstanding Montessori teaching methods Miss Kirti also has Forest School Lead experience and skills and engages children in our wonderful onsite Forest School every day and all year round! Teaching and challenging children to be the best version of themselves is at the heart of everything Miss Kirti does!

Miss Lucy has been working at Buttercups for 12 years and has also been lucky enough to have had both of her children join her and so has the privilege of a practitioner and parent perspective to childcare!


Lucy loves to explore new Yoga regimes with the children and has impressive skills in setting up purposeful and unique environments to engage and stimulate the children. Keeping children interested, focused, and learning new skills is an important aspect of Miss Lucy's everyday teaching.

Miss Danielle is wonderfully caring and friendly and loved by all children she comes into contact with. She excels in teaching and supporting children with their mindfulness and self care.
