My son started this nursery only 5 weeks ago and has settled really well. I can put this down to the very friendly staff, his key worker and the activities he does when at nursery. Like any child, he has had a few tears and upsets when I have dropped him off but he always receives a warm welcome and
cuddle and settles into his day at nursery. I am very happy to have picked this nursery and will be using it for my daughter in the future.

My 2-year-old son attends and overall I am very happy with the care and quality of service provided. When he is attending this nursery, he gets on with the children and it's easy to see he is happy when he's here. I would definitely recommend to other mums.

Since my granddaughter started in January 2016, we have seen some great improvement in her and she is confident and loves to share. Her speech has come on in leaps and bounds, such a great credit to all staff at the nursery who make sure she is safe and always alert us to anything we need to know, which
is not often and we cannot fault anything what so ever. Place is clean and efficient. I do like where you can sign in and see what she has done on a daily basis and pics to see is great. Well done to all the staff and management for a lovely, warm and welcoming nursery.

Both my boys have been to this nursery after trying resend them to various child minders which we did not get on with, so it was refreshing to find a nursery that were brilliant with the boys. Staff are always friendly and the boys love going, they enjoy their time there, look forward to going and always
come back with loads to tell me. My boys have improved with behaviour and learning and I feel they are safe and happy here.

I was receiving daily Tapestry updates usually with pictures from the ladies at the nursery and it brightened my day to see my daughter happily engaged in various activities. This nursery has a great atmosphere and I feel my child has really benefited from attending.

As foster carers we have had a number of children in the nursery.

Currently, the experience that our child has is exceptionally good. We are extremely impressed with the communication of the progress that our child has made on a weekly basis. All staff demonstrate exceptional care and nurture for

all of the children in the nursery. They all know the children there and have a great insight into our childs behaviour and why he acts as he does. Our child has thrived since he has been at Clarence House, Chatteris. He has made huge leaps in development supported by the staff. When he started his development was understandably delayed, but now he is achieving at age related expectations. He loves going to 'school' and has thrived.

The staff concerned with his learning are committed to the additional work that is involved with a child in care which is exceptional.

My daughters absolutely love the nursery and its staff. They come home full of beans, and most of the time I can't get my youngest to leave! The staff are so friendly and my girls adore them, and we often have to play "nurseries", and my eldest pretends to be her section leader. They provide home made
food and have even got my kids eating fish which is a first. I feel confident leaving my girls there, and I know they will be taken good care of.

Clarence House is an absolutely brilliant nursery choice. All of the staff are friendly polite and enthusiastic. There are plenty of activities which are fun and educational all conducted in a very safe and secure environment.

I receive regular updates via Tapestry as to how my child is doing.

I would without any reservations recommend sending your child here. I can't praise it enough.

The best nursery ever for my son. I am happy we got straight away a place for our son here. We never had from his previous nurseries an daily report, to be told that what your child done in that day at his nursery, activities and playing with, we never been told what he eaten for snacks or lunch, how
much and what he liked or not.
I am amazed about his lunch is free, he was provided his own named bottle with water. He is asking me every day if he goes today at nursery and on the days he is going, he is jumping up with a big smile on his face and sparkle in his eyes and on the days he is not going he wished too.
So what can be a better recommendation then that reactions. We love the nursery look, with all the kids needs to be provided there, the gardens and the own cooking food, with the love, carrying and dedication of the teachers. So thanks a lot to all of you ladies, there, who makes our son happy, smarter and educated. Well done for your great management there!

My little girl started at Clarence House aged 9 months and is now 2 so has been in the baby room. I can't fault the staff or facilities there. My little girl took a while to settle in, but thanks to the staff she made lovely bonds and the transition into nursery was made easier. She now loves going
and it's hard to get her to leave! The range of activities and play is great. The nursery have been really flexible and we've had no problems at all, would recommend to anyone. My two nieces also attend and are doing really well. It's great to see pictures of what my little girl does on the secure internet page tapestry as well as progress with learning. Thanks to all the staff.

My children are offered a rich playing environment which follows the EYFS. There is plenty of chance for the children to use technology, use their imagination in the mud kitchen and play in the sandpit.
They regularly have different themes that the children learn about. The nursery has links to the
local community. We have a complicated scenario and the nursery deals with this really well.
The nursery can offer flexible 15 hours, so it can be spread over the full year. The children are happy and we are regularly updated with their progress by Tapestry (online) and through parent's evenings.
The children do not want to leave because they have so much fun. One of our children was really shy before she started at nursery, but now she has really come out of her shell.

A lovely warm fun and friendly environment, my son loves coming to Clarence House. After looking round several nurseries, my son joined the nursery at 18 months and was somewhat clingy, however the staff were absolutely brilliant at settling him in and assuring me. He is now 4 and looks forward to his
sessions so much , which are always educational and fun. Very pleased with the safeguarding of the children and any issues are usually quickly addressed. Staff are lovely, helpful, enthusiastic and the whole nursery feels like a big family. Also like how each group doesn't have too many children, which I found at a previous setting. This makes it more personal and friendly. Always recommend the nursery to other parents.

Both of my children have attended the nursery and it is great to know that they are in safe caring hands. Having experienced a very poor nursery when I first went back to work I can definitely see the outstanding difference. The staff are fantastic, there are always new creative play ideas, menu items
differ each day and the children have fun, exciting days.

My little girl has been going here since January. Every time I pick her up she is happy and smiling. When I drop her off she is happy to go with the nursery workers. I have never had a problem here and my little girl really enjoys it here. I'm now thinking about putting my 17 month in there because
how well my little girl is looked after xx

Our daughter has been at the nursery since she was 9 months old and has enjoyed every minute and I believe it has really helped her become the confident clever little girl she is today. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially when I needed to have an operation a few years ago they were really
helpful trying to accommodate extra sessions for us, knowing our daughter was safe and happy took one less worry off our minds. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone.

Current Review Score: 8.7 (8.667)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.7 (8.667) out of 10 for Clarence House Chatteris is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 3 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.7 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Clarence House Chatteris is calculated as follows: ( (36 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 36 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.667 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Clarence House Chatteris is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.25
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 36 number of registered child places is 7.2. 3 Positive Reviews ÷ 7.2 = 0.417
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
