I viewed a few nursery's for my son, Clarence house stood out massively for me, everything about the nursery was 100%. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly and my son has really warmed to them. He always has the biggest smile on his face when I pick him up and always has so much to tell me
about his days, I even get to see this for myself thanks to Tapestry.
I would highly recommend this nursery to everyone, they are fantastic and I couldn't be happier my son attends Clarence house.

My daughter has attended this nursery for over 3 years now and I can confidently say she has loved every day.
All the staff are friendly and professional and great with the kids. They carefully plan the activities so the children can learn, develop and have fun.
I love the fact my daughter can get
messy and I don't have to clear up! One of her favourites is the mud kitchen!
The nursery have been great in preparing her for school.
I am looking forward to my youngest starting later this year so she can have as much fun as her big sister.

My son has been at this nursery ever since I finished maternity leave and in Sept he starts school. I was happy to leave my baby there nearly 4 years ago and as he has grown, so has the nursery. The facilities just get better and better and he loves the food! My son is sooo ready for school and the
start that he has had with the nursery has helped him get to this stage. Cheeky and energetic, he is aware of whats right and wrong (no matter how cheekily he grins and tries to get away with it) and he has learnt some good life lessons like sharing, respect and how to play and learn. My son is a very practical boy and he loves building with Lego or being in the sandpit with the diggers, climbing or generally running around. The staff there are more than capable of keeping up with him and his group of equally energetic friends. In short, I would and have recommended this nursery to my friends and they are equally pleased.

My son has been attending the nursery for a couple of years and he loves it. He has started to come out of his shell thanks to the amazing staff. He really enjoys playing out in the garden, that is kept amazingly clean. My daughter has started two months ago and she loves going to nursery, most days
she runs to the front door ready for a fun and exciting day.
I would highly recommend to my friends and family to take their children to Clarence House nurseries.

I am speaking from a mothers point of view and as an ex employee, all staff at the nursery are fabulous this includes all the hard working part time bank staff, my daughter started in the baby room then on to toddlers and now is currently in preschool waiting for reception in September.
So I have had
the pleasure of being involved with all the staff at the different stages of my child's development, the staff are special in my daughters eyes and talks about them a lot, she also has made a lovely friendship with another child that I see lasting forever which would of been helped along by the nursery.
I also had the pleasure of being cook for a couple of years and being part of a very busy team, well done everybody for your outstanding ofsted x

Lovely nursery very welcoming to my little girl when she started not long ago. Love getting observations during the day too! Nice to know what she's up too. Also enjoy that there are lots of events such as parents evenings, and getting involved in local events too

My daughter Olivia has been attending Clarence House on a part time basis since September and it has been wonderful for her social development. Prior to attending her speech was a little behind. Now it is excellent. The staff at Clarence House are all amazing, Olivia adores them all and I know she's
going to be sad to leave them to go to 'big school'.
I am disabled and there are times when I am unable to get Olivia to nursery due to my health and Clarence House have been incredibly understanding, and have really helped Olivia get through some difficult times when I have been in hospital. They have been her 'normal' and that is beyond helpful in our particular situation.
We adore Clarence House and it's wonderful staff members and couldn't recommend them enough.

This is the best nursery by far. I'm unsure about leaving my babies with anyone but the staff were so friendly and supportive. My son adores the nursery and loves all the different activities. I'm kept informed of all activities and love the tapestry. Could not recommend this nursery high enough. They
are fantastic! A*

Both of my children went to this nursery from a young age. Best decision I made!! The staff are friendly and accommodating and took very good care of my children. I trusted that they would take good care of the children and offer them a range of opportunities and activities and made then super ready
for school.

This nursery is fantastic. I wouldn't want to send him anywhere else. My little boy has had difficulties with his speech, since attending Clarence House his speech has really improved. The staff are lovely and do everything they can to help him. I always have a very happy little boy when I pick him
up and sometimes he doesn't want to go home!! Would definitely recommend Clarence House.

My daughter has been attending Clarence House for a couple of years now and loves every second she is there, the staff have been fantastic with her as she can get a little clingy when I drop her off but when I go to pick her up she never wants to come home.
There has been many a mornings I have wanted
to stay and play instead of going to work myself and the smell of freshly cooked meals from the kitchen has made my mouth water.
My daughter only has a few more weeks left before she breaks up for the holidays and starts big school and I know that thanks to all the staff here she will settle into school fantastically.. A massive thank you Clarence House xx

I would highly recommended the nursery, staff are brilliant, and always have time to explain what your child has been doing. My daughter took a while to settle, but the staff worked closely with me and now my daughter loves going there

Clarence House Chatteris is fantastic. I have 2 boys (3 and a half and 1 and a half yrs old) who both love attending. The staff are brilliant, they all really care about the children. The staff also spend hours creating inventive activities that all the children love doing yet are developing them in
some way. I would recommend this nursery to all my friends.

My daughter has been at the nursery since she was 10 months old. She adores the staff and has some wonderful friends. As a result my family have also made some wonderful friends by getting to know the parents of my child's friends from school; this has been invaluable as we moved to Chatteris from outside
the local area.

The staff have made a huge effort to learn new ways to make the days fun and educational for the children. We've seen many positive changes over the years as the care continues to improve week by week.

Clarence House is a relatively small nursery and has a nice balance between a homely environment and an educational centre. I love that the children are taken out on trips around the town to the post box, supermarket or park. This is something that I would imagine is easier to do given only 12 children and not a traditional classroom of 30.

One of the factors behind my daughter staying at Clarence House for her pre-school years was the ability to be flexible with the 15 NEF funded hours. We can use these hours in a way that suits us - which is term time only and school hours. If we had to use the hours on a full 8am to 6pm basis we would have had to move her elsewhere. This flexibility is fantastic.

Thank you to the team at Clarence House.

Current Review Score: 8.7 (8.667)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.7 (8.667) out of 10 for Clarence House Chatteris is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 3 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.7 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Clarence House Chatteris is calculated as follows: ( (36 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 36 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.667 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Clarence House Chatteris is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.25
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 36 number of registered child places is 7.2. 3 Positive Reviews ÷ 7.2 = 0.417
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
