Day Nurseries Owned by Chalk Nursery Group

Our daughter spent the past year at Katey's House, and we couldn't have asked for better care. The staff are friendly, warm and clearly care about the children. She was always happy to go in, and we felt completely confident leaving her. They managed her allergies brilliantly, which gave us real peace of mind. If your child has dietary needs, you can trust them to take it seriously. This is our second child at Katey's House, as our son attended before her, and we've had a great experience both times. We're only leaving because we're moving out of the area, and we'll miss everyone very much. Thank you to the whole team!

We're genuinely so grateful for all the care, kindness and support our son had at Kateys Ham. He was so well looked after, and we've always felt very happy and comfortable having him there. We absolutely loved the extracurricular activities, such as science class, forest and riverside walks, the big playground/terrace, and many visits to the library. My son really thrived at Kateys Ham and it was a heartwarming experience for us as parents.

Red Bus has exceeded our expectations of what a nursery/kindergarden/preschool could add to our son's development. After 3 plus years attending our son has walked out a confident 4 year old ready for mainstream school. The relationships he has developed not only with his peers but also the staff at Red Bus has meant a lot to us and also given us peace of mind that he is in safe hands. I can't rate this nursery enough!

My only frustration has been how frequently unwell our daughter has been during the seven months she has attended nursery. As she is our first child, we appreciate that this may simply be a normal part of starting nursery.

Red Bus have such a supportive environment that allows my children to develop at their own pace. The staff are very caring and knowledgeable I have complete faith in them supporting my children and their needs. They go the extra mile to ensure the children are happy and engaged in enriching activities.

My child really enjoy his time at the nursery - it's wonderful seeing him so eager to go every morning, which speaks volume about his experience there. He's only joined the nursery for a few months and we are pleasantly surprised by the progress he's made - he's become more social, more confident to be around new people, and better at taking care of himself. The nursery has also done a good job in keeping us informed of my child's progress and we receive daily updates through an app.

My first child was at Katey's a few years ago from toddler to school age and we had a mixed experience, mainly due to high staff turnover. My second child has been there since 2024 and has had a much better experience. The current manager and all the staff we have encountered are great - they are very friendly, professional and provide a nurturing environment for the children. The manager is particularly receptive to parent feedback and is always looking for ways to improve. My child enjoys coming to nursery and doesn't want to leave at the end of the day.

Excellent communication in lead up to child starting nursery and I was glad to be fully re-introduced as older child left nursery a few years ago and some things have changed e.g. Covid restrictions eased and different layout of rooms.

We are very grateful for the wonderful care, communication and professionalism of the whole team. Our daughter feels safe, loved and confident here, and that means everything to us.

My son has flourished at Katey's since joining at nine months old. He has grown from staying close to familiar faces into a confident, sociable and independent little boy. The staff's genuine care, patience and understanding of his personality have been exceptional, and the regular updates, conversations and Parent's Evenings help us feel truly involved. The nursery is nurturing and well-organised, and he has built lovely friendships, learned so much and genuinely enjoys every day. The leadership is approachable, caring and clearly committed to giving children the best start. We are deeply grateful for the support and encouragement our son receives.

The care, kindness, and dedication shown by every member of staff have helped him grow into the happy, confident, curious little boy he is today. They've celebrated his achievements, comforted him when he needed reassurance, and filled his days with laughter, learning, and unforgettable memories. We will always be thankful for the incredible start they have given him and the strong foundations they've helped build for his future. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts-we couldn't have wished for a more special place for our son.

Our daughter has been at the nursery for 2.5 years, and our son for 1.5. They have both been a well looked after and cared for. It's a lovely setting, and they have taken great care with the children's learning and creativity. The handovers always have lots of feedback and updates, and the parents evenings and reports show the level of detail and care they have.

Our son has had the best time at Red Bus and made great friends. He has become so independent and curious about the world. We have loved having him at the setting over the past 3+ years and have always felt confident in his safety at the setting.

I am not one for leaving reviews normally, but honestly I couldnt be happier with Kateys and everything they have done for our son, and couldnt recommend them more highly.

Before starting at Kateys our son had struggled to settle in a different place, which was really tough at the time. We thought we would give it another go at Kateys, having met some lovely members of staff - and it was one of the best decisions we have made.

The staff went out of their way to encourage him, and with a little effort he settled in and started to gain more confidence.

Roll forward a year and a half and he is a confident, lively kid that loves going to nursery - has a great little group of friends (and we have poached a few of the parents as friends for ourselves!). He loves the staff, science teacher, outtings and is always coming home with a new song he has learnt.

Huge recommendation from us for Kateys

Excellent nursery overall. The staff are friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. They arrange developmental and fun activities for the kids. The food menu is varied and healthy and the staff are great at maintaining a consistent nap schedule for my daughter. She is 22 months old and loves going there.

Our daughter has attended Katey's in Teddington from the Cherries class all the way up to Apples. We are very happy with the experience, the staff are friendly and attentive, taking on our feedback and requests. She eats well and they do a good mix of indoor, outdoor play, as well as trips to the park. In Apples, they do gardening and science lessons which our daughter loves too. At first, there was quite a high turnover of staff, but having been in a couple of nurseries and speaking to friends I hear this is quite common. Now the staff have been consistent for the past year or so which is good.

Staff are outstanding. A really lovely atmosphere. We are moving out of area and are incredibly sad our daughter has had to move to a different nursery. Would highly recommend to anyone considering Moon River.

The space for children to play is also really good, in condition and with both shaded and sunny areas. Both my children love the food as well!

I would recommend this nursery to other families.

The Katey's team feel like an extended family for my daughter - they're all so warm, friendly and caring. Her day is filled with fun activities and outings to local parks. We get updates daily both on the app and from her key worker verbally at pick up. We would highly recommend Katey's to local families.
