Katey's Nursery & Pre-school Teddington

My child really enjoy his time at the nursery - it's wonderful seeing him so eager to go every morning, which speaks volume about his experience there. He's only joined the nursery for a few months and we are pleasantly surprised by the progress he's made - he's become more social, more confident to be around new people, and better at taking care of himself. The nursery has also done a good job in keeping us informed of my child's progress and we receive daily updates through an app.

My first child was at Katey's a few years ago from toddler to school age and we had a mixed experience, mainly due to high staff turnover. My second child has been there since 2024 and has had a much better experience. The current manager and all the staff we have encountered are great - they are very friendly, professional and provide a nurturing environment for the children. The manager is particularly receptive to parent feedback and is always looking for ways to improve. My child enjoys coming to nursery and doesn't want to leave at the end of the day.

I am not one for leaving reviews normally, but honestly I couldnt be happier with Kateys and everything they have done for our son, and couldnt recommend them more highly.

Before starting at Kateys our son had struggled to settle in a different place, which was really tough at the time. We thought we would give it another go at Kateys, having met some lovely members of staff - and it was one of the best decisions we have made.

The staff went out of their way to encourage him, and with a little effort he settled in and started to gain more confidence.

Roll forward a year and a half and he is a confident, lively kid that loves going to nursery - has a great little group of friends (and we have poached a few of the parents as friends for ourselves!). He loves the staff, science teacher, outtings and is always coming home with a new song he has learnt.

Our daughter has attended Katey's in Teddington from the Cherries class all the way up to Apples. We are very happy with the experience, the staff are friendly and attentive, taking on our feedback and requests. She eats well and they do a good mix of indoor, outdoor play, as well as trips to the park. In Apples, they do gardening and science lessons which our daughter loves too. At first, there was quite a high turnover of staff, but having been in a couple of nurseries and speaking to friends I hear this is quite common. Now the staff have been consistent for the past year or so which is good.

The Katey's team feel like an extended family for my daughter - they're all so warm, friendly and caring. Her day is filled with fun activities and outings to local parks. We get updates daily both on the app and from her key worker verbally at pick up. We would highly recommend Katey's to local families.

Our son has been attending Kateys Teddington for around 4 months and so far we have zero complaints, and would recommend highly. It's clear to see from his expressions, growth and confidence that they're providing a nurturing supportive foundation for him to grow. It's also so great to see that they go on outings in nature. Also this nursery feels the right size, class sizes are good and overall this means each child gets the support they need.

We couldn't be happier with our experience at Katey's Nursery. The learning environment is engaging, nurturing, and has provided such a wonderful start to our child's early years.

Every member of staff has been incredibly kind, approachable, and supportive. They are always willing to offer guidance and genuinely care about each child's wellbeing and development, which has given us great confidence and peace of mind as parents.

We first viewed the nursery when our son was just 4 months old. He started attending when he turned one, and so far he has settled in incredibly well.

The nursery provides a lovely, healthy, and varied menu for the children, which is something we really appreciate. The staff are caring, welcoming, and genuinely invested in the children's wellbeing and development. Whenever any issues arise, they are addressed promptly, and appropriate action is put in place to ensure they don't happen again, which gives us great peace of mind.

The best part for us is seeing our son's excitement every day. As soon as he realises we're at nursery, he's all smiles and can't wait to see the wonderful staff, his key person, and all of his friends. It's reassuring to know he's so happy and comfortable in their care. We couldn't ask for a better environment for him to learn, grow, and thrive.

Our Son has been going to Katey's in teddington since he was 4 months old (now in the last classes before reception) and honestly I'm so grateful for all the supportive staff who have helped nurture him. He loves going to nursery which says more than words but we have also noticed so much positive development which the nursery setting and activities have aided. The introduction of Karolina has been noticable, she is lovely and genuinely has the best interests of the nursery and children alike at heart as do many of the other staff members. When I was looking at nurseries the homely but structured feel is what initially drew me to it as well as the daily routine, importance of outside play and regular outings to the local park. Highly recommend.

Since Karolina became the manager of the nursery, I have seen quite a number of positive changes so credit to her as well!

Katey's (Teddington) is absolutely brilliant. My two boys have loved their time there and I would not hesitate to recommend the nursery to anyone. The staff are fantastic, kind and genuinely care for the children and our boys have thrived because of it.

Lovely nursery with great community vibe. The staff are all very happy and very personable. They create a great atmosphere and environment for the kids to enjoy. Our son loves it particularly all of the activities they do.

2nd child who is now attending the nursery however first experience since the takeover. It seems as though most of the Katey's House values are still being followed which is great. My daughter started early and has settled in well and is truly cared for well. Any concerns can be raised easily with staff and are always rectified quickly or plans put in place to resolve.

Kateys Nursery and Pre School have been fantastic in taking care of our daughter! We decided to choose Kateys after a less than stellar experience elsewhere.

What really caught our eye was the smaller setting. They have all the amazing facilities and activities of the bigger nurseries, but in a way that feels more intimate and just right for us. The staff have been wonderful, and our little one has had a blast here. The parent evenings, small get-togethers, and Christmas performance have been such highlights.

Thank you so much to all the staff and management for making our experience so wonderful. We wouldn't hesitate to choose Kateys again in the future!

We have had 2 children at Katey's Preschool & Nursery now and feel that Karolina and her team running an excellent space for learning development and play. The children are happy to go into their classrooms each day and have developed strong bonds with their carers, who are kind and fun in equal measure. The building itself well equipped and offers plenty of opportunities for changes of scenery and different types of play. The management welcomes feedback and constructive comment, which they then act on. We couldn't ask for a happier setting!

In the year we've been at Katey's, we've progressed through Cherries into Plums. Our experience has got better and better in the time and they clearly really care for our child with incredibly friendly staff

My baby has settled in incredibly well into nursery and is so happy at drop off and pick up time. I am kept informed of how my baby is doing throughout the day and receive regular photo updates. The staff seem to have a great bond with the children which is lovely to see and I feel like my baby is very well taken care of. The facilities are clean, warm and inviting with a lovely array of toys to keep the children entertained. I love that the staff take them on outings to the local park so that they can get some fresh air. Overall I have only great things to say and feel very lucky to have found such a lovely nursery for my baby.

Friendly staff who love the kids, which makes the kids love going to nursery! The manager is warm, approachable and listens to concerns and acts fast to address them. The kids especially love Fresh Bread Fridays!

Our son has been at Katey's since he was 1 and has been through Cherries, Plums and Apples. He has had a wonderful experience. The staff have all been so caring with him and lovely to us too! Really lovely parents' evenings, progress reports and daily updates via the app which means pick-up is efficient and can focus on the softer elements rather than food/nappies etc! Small but lovely outside space and love the gardening sessions and the frequent trips out to Bushy and Langdon Park. Highly recommend and based on discussions with other parents, a much more personalised approach than other bigger nursery chains.
