Overall Experience

My eldest son started at Ladybird Penge in 2018. He spent just over 4 years there before starting at school in 2022. We loved the nursery so much that my youngest then started in 2023.
The nursery is based in a train station which is a listed building meaning the facilities are not as fancy as some

of the other nurseries you may see. This didn't bother us at all. The staff are wonderful. They know the children so well and they care about each of them.
The manager (Rebecca) and Assistant Manager (Alice) were both there when my eldest was still there and they really drive a feeling of the children being at the centre of everything throughout the nursery.
If you get a chance to visit, do it and talk to the staff. They are really wonderful.

Overall Experience

We couldn't be more grateful for the experience our daughter had at Ladybird Nursery Anerley. From early on, she thrived-consistently happy, confident, and excited to go in every day. The staff are great: warm, caring, and creative.

There's a real sense of community at Ladybird, and we always felt

that our daughter was not just well cared for, but genuinely known and nurtured as an individual. The team are always thinking of new and engaging ways to spark the children's curiosity and creativity, and it made such a difference to our daughter's early development.

When it came time for her to leave for primary school, we were genuinely sad to say goodbye-it felt like leaving a second family. Thankfully, our youngest has now started at Ladybird too and is already settling in beautifully. It's such a comfort to know she's in such a positive, supportive environment.

Overall Experience

We could not have been happier with our daughter's experience at Ladybird. She joined at 11 months and after a somewhat tricky settle in (to not fault of the nursery), soon grew to love the staff and nursery. She has just left at 4 and a half to go to school and we were all so sad for her to leave -

even though our second baby was due to join the following week. We have been very impressed by their care, communication and commitment to the welfare and development of our children and are very happy our son is being looked after by them for the next 3 years.

Our daughter has been attending Ladybird nursery since June 2023. She's formed great bonds with her peers cultivated by the caring and kind key workers who support the children. Overall Experience

My son attended Ladybird Anerley from the age of 1 year to 4 years 3 months, before heading off to school. He (and we!) loved the experience from start to finish. The staff were kind and caring throughout and really formed a bond with our son that went above and beyond what we expected. We always felt

that he was in extremely good hands when we dropped him off. Key things:
* lots of opportunities for creativity, including drawing, painting and messy play.
* lots of reading - he often tells about stories we have never read him.
* trips out: to the local park, to the local shops.
* community atmosphere and events at the nursery: Christmas Fair, Fathers/Mothers day events
* weekly multi-sports lesson from an external provider, and Spanish lessons too
On a more practical level, the nursery is clean and organised, and our son enjoyed the food.
At the end of nursery our son got a place at a competitive private school in London.

Overall Experience

I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. My son has had three very happy years here and is heading off to school full of confidence and excited for the challenge ahead due to the care, encouragement and stimulation the wonderful nursery staff have given him. The creative output they provide is

truly fantastic, from art to baking to Spanish to dancing to water games in the garden during hot weather and Christmas parties and fairs during the winter. As an active child he has plenty of opportunity to let off steam in the garden or during Mini Athletics which he loves. The nursery also encourages a love of books which is great for us to see at home when he tells us about his favourites. Parents are given regular feedback and if there is ever a learning point the nursery staff are quick to raise it and discuss how best to speak to the child about it so that there is consistent messaging. I have loved watching him thrive in this environment and can only hope he loves school as much.

Overall Experience

All three of my children have attended Ladybirds's nursery over the last 8 years.
The staff are brilliant, thoughtful and interactive with lots of fun activities.
They take care of each childs individual needs and have gone out of their way to accommodate the children in their care.
It is a fun

learning environment - they have extra activities such as Spanish classes and mini athletics which the children enjoy and lots of celebratory events and special occasions.
I would not hesitate in recommending this nursery. The facilities are good - the outdoor space is great and they use this a lot, and the food is prepared and cooked fresh each day by their own chef who is fantastic.
The management and deputy management is supportive, it has been a welcoming environment for all of my children returning to read to the younger kids after they have left. It has been a huge positive part of our children's personal growth.,

After a disappointing previous nursery experience, we approached Ladybird Anerley (Jan 2024-Aug 2025) with natural apprehension. What an absolutely incredible journey it's been! The staff and management are genuinely exceptional, proactive, thoughtful, and truly caring. Our daughter has completely blossomed,

coming home excited every single day, eager to share all the wonderful activities and fun experiences. The warm smiles at drop-off and pick up, detailed daily updates, and genuine interest in her development made all the difference. My parental anxiety completely disappeared knowing she was in such amazing hands. The team's energy and dedication is remarkable. All the staff are brilliant and welcome the children every morning with warmth and care. My son has required some extra support in a couple of areas and ladybird have been fantastic in putting

The relatively small size of the nursery provides a genuinely family feel. We have been lucky to have them for the last three years.

As my eldest transitions to "big school" this Sept 2025, I'm reflecting on our incredible 3.5 years at Ladybird. From day one, the staff's kindness, compassion, and competency impressed us. Our children have gained so much: friendship, creativity, athletics, language, music, phonics, numeracy, manners,

and bright attitudes. I credit the nursery with immense progress.

Ladybirds Beckenham is incredible. My son started in Oct '21 and will leave in August '25 and from beginning to end I have nothing but praise for all of the staff. From before joining they have gone above and beyond to deal with my son's complex allergies whilst making him feel included in whatever

the other children are eating. Their chef and staff have managed to deal with it at every stage and been excellent. The staff are caring, fun, focused and creative - my son will leave being able to write his letters and basic words and read pushing on for level 3 books and that's a reflection of how fun they make learning. Their days are enriched by extra learning such as Spanish, athletics, visits from a zoo and trips out and about. Parents are always welcome to join in and share cultures / heritage. Class sizes are a great smaller size making it easy for children and parents to get to know one another!

Ladybird nurseries in Anerley is a nursery I would highly recommend. Our little one has been going there since she was 4.5 months old and they have taken such good care of her. The staff is very professional and interested in helping and supporting your child. They do many activities with the parents,

something I very much enjoyed, and if you have any questions they respond very quickly. It's a great feeling to leave your child in hands. Our little one enjoyed playing in their gardens very much, and she's learned how to eat well at nursery too (something we found rather difficult at home at times). She made many friends at the nursery and we're going to miss the staff a lot!

Overall Experience

Our son attended Ladybird Nursery - Penge from just over 3 years old until he left for school aged almost 5 and he absolutely loved it there. He settled in very quickly after moving from his childminder and developed strong relationships with both his peers and the team. The nursery is relatively small,

which helps create a cosy, family-like feel and the lovely staff contribute to this. I never needed to worry about his well-being while he was in their care. They also put a lot of emphasis on the children's emotional and mental development which really helped our son transition into Reception when it was sadly time to say goodbye to Ladybird. I wholeheartedly recommend the nursery and will hopefully be using it again in the future!

We cannot speak highly enough of Ladybird! Our daughter has been attending for over a year and found the first few months incredibly difficult to settle. Not only did all the staff show an endless amount of patience and love but at no point did they make me feel like it was hard work, nor did they treat

my daughter any differently from the other children. She has absolutely thrived at Ladybird. The staff have created such a nurturing, family-like environment that she found the transition into the toddler room an absolute breeze and asks to go to nursery every day! We cannot praise all the staff highly enough and have recommended Ladybird to other parents we know in the area.

We've been with Ladybird Nursery for 6 years total with my 2 children and we've had a fantastic experience with them. My kids absolutely loved coming to nursery every day, they enjoyed the activities, made friends and bonded with their teachers. The staff have been so lovely and attentive to the kids,

I have nothing but praise for them. During Covid, they went above and beyond to look after the kids according to health and safety guidelines. The kids were well prepared for school and still say how much they miss nursery. I am grateful to the staff for making this journey so enjoyable for my kids.

We loved our time at Ladybird and we're very sad to leave, due to relocation. Our daughter started there at 14 months and was welcomed warmly, and made to feel comfortable, safe and very entertained!
The team have always taken very good care of her, and we've been thrilled to see all the activities

and games she played. We quickly saw a real progression in her language and skills, and she developed her first little friendships, which was lovely to see.
There has been staff turnover during our 9 months at the nursery, which I think is to be expected, but she made quick bonds with incoming staff, and two staff members, in particular, were there throughout and were absolutely fantastic.

Overall Experience

Our daughter started attending Ladybird Nursery Anerley between 2021 and 2024 (starting at 10 months). During covid and lockdowns we essentially only had a handful of reviews to use to choose the nursery and were naturally very worried - but everything went great - daily photos and updates did wonders

to reassure in the baby class. Later on it was beautiful to see the confidence and character of our daughter develop and I am very happy we went here.
Naturally, there were moments when it was harder - particularly when moving rooms, developmental leap and readjusting on coming back from holidays all coincided. At those moments the two-way affection displayed between the key person and our daughter was the main force reassuring us that we were leaving her in good hands.

Our son attended Ladybird Anerley for 2 years, aged 1 to 3, and I can't recommend it highly enough. All the teachers are so friendly and form lovely bonds with the children. They also remember parents' names and are really good at updating the app throughout the day with information about sleep, food,

toilet visits and then lots of photos. They were particularly helpful with potty training! I liked the small rooms meaning our son got lots of attention from the teachers and formed some great friendships. The garden is great and external companies provide athletics and Spanish classes.

Overall Experience

Our little one has been attending Ladybird Nursery since 7 months until the end of her time in preschool. I couldn't have been more happy with the care and attention from the carers. They are so knowledgeable about children and loved the kids. Even graduating from baby to toddler and preschool room

- all the teachers know all the kids as all rooms do interact and play. There were different activities going on between the sports teacher, music time, yoga, Spanish classes. We saw huge leaps in her development not only when she started but also as she interacted with older kids. She was running in to play! Additionally, I found management were very helpful with parents and we found some carers were open to babysitting (albeit it is arranged outside Ladybird). We were so lucky to have found Ladybird to be a wonderful fit for our little one!
