Ladybird Nursery - Thornsett

Ladybird nurseries in Anerley is a nursery I would highly recommend. Our little one has been going there since she was 4.5 months old and they have taken such good care of her. The staff is very professional and interested in helping and supporting your child. They do many activities with the parents, something I very much enjoyed, and if you have any questions they respond very quickly. It's a great feeling to leave your child in hands. Our little one enjoyed playing in their gardens very much, and she's learned how to eat well at nursery too (something we found rather difficult at home at times). She made many friends at the nursery and we're going to miss the staff a lot!

Our eldest daughter has just left Ladybird to go to school and our youngest is still there. We have had a brilliant experience the last couple of years and our kids have always felt safe and loved. The teachers all really care about the little ones and are very warm and friendly and you can really tell how hard they all work and how happy the kids are around them. We have felt very lucky to be part of the community there and are grateful for everything they do!

We have thoroughly enjoyed the two years our son has been at Ladybird Nursery-Thornsett. We are very grateful and appreciative for the time, care and attention the teachers have spent looking after our son. Developing his skills, socialising and general behaviours. This was made extremely hard whilst the nursery remained open during the pandemic where working conditions were clearly exceptionally harder. The energy and effort from all the staff has been very evident to us and the fact our son comes home every day with a smile. Having enjoyed his day is the only real endorsement you need. If we have another child, we will return.

I have 2 children here, one baby and 1 preschooler. Both kids are happy there. They do a range of different activities, including trips to the park and library. Children are encouraged to learn through play, both inside and outside. Meals are included and they have a great variety, encouraging kids to eat different foods, and mealtime is a social occasion.

I would highly recommend this nursery!

My son has attended Ladybird Thornsett since he was 7 months old, and we really love the staff there. They are caring and compassionate and I feel like they've really helped him grow into his little personality. The nursery is a really welcoming space and has very good facilities/toys/books/healthy meals. I'm exceptionally glad that we managed to get a space when we did and have no hesitation recommending them to other prospective parents.

My daughter is extremely happy at Ladybird Thornsett. She spent a year in the baby room, is currently in toddlers and about to progress into pre-school. The staff are very warm and loving and seem to genuinely care for her. She is very happy to go in every day and when she found the transition from baby to toddler room hard for the first few days the staff worked hard to make her feel safe. She has been supported to be very independent at things like dressing, toileting, eating and tidying up after herself from a young age. The environment is well ordered and communication with staff and management is very straightforward. The mini greenhouse, balance bikes and climbing frame outside are lovely. The menu of food offered is nutritious and balanced with no sugary puddings and a protein at every meal. I would strongly recommend the nursery to anyone.

I highly recommend Ladybird Nursery Thornsett Road. The team are fantastic and have made my son very welcome ever since he joined the nursery. They have taken the time and care to get to know his personality and likes. They give lovely updates and debriefs after each day and I feel very confident leaving him in their care.

Both of my daughters have attended Ladybird Nursery as Toddlers/Pre Schoolers and have been very happy there. There is a good size garden outside with climbing frame/toys and planting area. The inside is well laid out with toddler appropriate facilities. Staff have always been welcoming, warm and friendly. We have always had good feedback and reports from staff. Whenever I have had any contact with management or any queries, there has been a speedy and professional reply. My youngest struggled to settle at nursery and staff were always very kind and reassuring and we always had good feedback about her day and how she had settled. We felt reassured that she was going into a safe and caring place. The pre school have also recently been organising more trips/fun days and links with the local Nursing Home which have been fab!
