WHAT WE ARE LEARNING - WEEK COMMENCING 8TH JUNE 2026

Graduates & Clever Cats This week in Preschool the Graduates are enjoying the forest being out and about for snack and lunch - we’ve visited the waterfall, walked along at the two lakes, we’ve hugged trees, played ‘Pooh sticks’, made a den, had a sensory walk and been on a flower hunt! The Clever Cats have had their first week of being Cats learning about words of more than two syllables through dinosaurs and next week we’re learning all about healthy eating. In preschool we have welcomed the new Kittens moving through from Toddlers, they’re getting used to the room and how everything works - welcome new friends and well done!

GRADUATES - For 30 days wild - please see poster, we will be exploring the natural world around us describing what we see and feel while outside, noticing the effect of the weather and season.

Ladybirds Next week in the Ladybirds room we will be taking part in healthy eating activities to support the Toddlers to develop an early understanding of making healthy food choices. Through hands-on experiences such as exploring different fruits and vegetables, sorting foods into healthy categories and role-playing in the home corner using fruits and vegetables.

Butterflies Next week in the Baby Room we will be celebrating Healthy Eating Week. The children will have opportunities to explore a variety of healthy fruits and vegetables through sensory play, tasting activities and stories. In our home corner, the children will engage in role play using fruits and vegetables, encouraging conversations about healthy foods and supporting their imaginative play. We will be encouraging positive eating habits, developing curiosity about different foods, and supporting the children to make healthy choices in a fun and engaging way.
