I had a concerning experience with this nursery which led me to withdraw my one-year-old son.
On two occasions, routine questions about my child's wellbeing were escalated into concerns about my behaviour. Most recently, I asked simple questions about his temperature (medication and clothing), and
was later told a staff member was upset, not because of what was said, but "how it was said."
Despite this, I received formal emails raising concerns without any clear explanation or examples. When I asked for clarification, none was provided.
What concerned me most was the lack of factual detail, reliance on subjective interpretation, and a repeated pattern involving the same staff member.
As a parent, asking reasonable questions about your child's care should not lead to this kind of situation. Due to the lack of clarity and confidence in how this was handled, I chose to remove my child.

From the very beginning, my daughter has absolutely loved going to nursery, which says everything. She's always excited to go in, and that reassurance as a parent means so much.

The staff are fantastic. So warm, caring, and attentive. They keep her engaged with a wide range of activities, and it's

clear how nurturing they are in the way they support her development and wellbeing. Since joining, she has come such a long way, both in confidence and learning, and we couldn't be happier with her progress.

Communication from the nursery is excellent, and the app is incredibly useful for keeping up to date with her day and development. It really helps us feel connected and involved.

I would highly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a safe, supportive, and happy environment for their child.

Amazing nursery, my little girl walks into nursery independently because she's so happy to see the staff, the staff always offer me so much reassurance when I need it and always communicate brilliantly with me, it's so nice to see that my child has settled so well into a nursery so quickly she gets
so excited to attend which is a big relief to me! My experience with this nursery has been amazing, and I always recommend to friends and tell my family about it we love it here!

My son has been going to Blossoms since they opened and I could not be happier with the decision sending him here!
The diversity is incredible from activities for all children to the food provided. The updates are consistent and if there is ever a day where is has a wobble in the morning they reassure
me quickly with photos and messages. The setting is well looked after, clean and exciting for the kids.
The staff are nothing short of reassuring, helpful, supportive, friendly and chatty. My son adores all of the girls from the ones in his room on a daily basis to management. It is also reassuring to know that the majority of staff are also moms so they come from a completely understanding place.
I have nothing but positive things to say about them!

I absolutely loved this nursery from day 1, the rooms look amazing, the staff seemed nice albeit very young. They make great efforts at Xmas and occasions RE Mother's Day too.

But here's the but. If you every want to discuss your child's welfare or any concerns you might have the staff label you

as being aggressive and are not willing to have an adult conversation with you - they hide behind a messaging system and are completely inappropriate to parents. This has happened to numerous parents not just me. I had some feedback about handovers and parking and got a message saying I was rude to the team - couldn't have been a calmer conversation and I certainly wasn't rude! Later I was told I was aggressive and abrupt!! Never wanted to hear my side, just sent me some appalling messages!! I pulled my son out with immediate effect due to how they made me feel and to know it's happened to other parents just sums up the fact the nursery is ran by kids!
Reply from Ellie Bowdler, Nursery Manager at Blossoms on the LaneThank you for your feedback. We're pleased you initially had a positive experience and valued our environment.

We would like to clarify that we do not label parents. We promote open, respectful communication and invite meetings to discuss concerns. However, we do not accept staff being spoken to in an abrupt or disrespectful manner-our team's mental health and wellbeing will always come first. We also use the Famly app to ensure clear and consistent communication.

Parking directly outside classroom doors is not permitted.

We supported you when you joined following a previous difficult nursery experience and are pleased we could offer reassurance. Your notice was originally given due to relocation, which was addressed at the time.

Our management team (aged 24-40) have over 43 years' combined experience and have progressed within the nursery over 7+ years. Our wider team (17-65) brings valuable diversity and role models, and has also achieved Outstanding at our sister setting

Blossoms on the Lane is an amazing place to send your child. They are always doing the most exciting activities and extra curriculars with the children. I generally feel so safe sending my child there and know he is loved and cared for by the girls in his room. He is always smiling when dropped off
and picked he up. He absolutely loves his days at nursery

We couldn't be happier with Blossoms on the Lane. The team did an incredible job settling our little boy in - they were patient, reassuring, and made the whole transition so much easier for both him and us.
The staff are absolutely fantastic - so friendly, approachable, and genuinely caring. The regular
updates we receive are wonderful and really help us feel connected to his day. It's clear that a lot of thought goes into the provision and set-ups, which are always engaging and tailored to the children.
The food is brilliant, with a great variety, and the activities - both in-house and outdoors - are creative, fun, and varied.
We feel completely comfortable and confident that our little boy is safe, well looked after, and truly cared about. We're so grateful to have found such a special nursery setting.
An extra special thank-you and shout-out to the incredible staff in the Discoverers room!

My little one has been at this nursery since the start of term in January and they have been fabulous. He loves going there, they do so much fun with little ones too. They often take them outside so see the rabbits and explore the garden which I love! He's had a few health issues and they have worked
with me really well to help with what I needed for him. They are a fantastic setting and so engaged with the children. The food is home cooked and he always loves the variety, which saves me cooking and thinking for those days. It's exceptionally clean and when a few children get an illness we are all warned of the signs to help keep the spread to a minimum. They always have an extra curriculum activity everyday for the children too if you choose to do this.

Our little girl started at Blossoms on the lane in September 2025 for 3 days a week in the discoverer's room and we couldn't be happier that we chose this setting.
The first few weeks were tricky whilst we all got used to our new routine, but the staff at blossoms were fab. They reassured us and sent
more frequent updates. She very quickly fell in love with nursery and the people there. She has since moved to explorers and again loves it. She now walks in and waves us goodbye.
We love all of the extra curricular clubs that she takes part in - it's so reassuring to see her joining in on the photo updates. We also know that she loves the food! She definitely eats better than we do.
Every member of staff we have encountered have been friendly and approachable. The office staff have been quick to answer queries when we have had them. We couldn't recommend them enough!
Thanks again for all of your hard work and dedication.

I express my gratitude to the team of this nursery! My daughter has been attending Blossom on the Lane Nursery, Walsall for 10 months, she has settled in very well and quickly, she comes with great pleasure in the morning and back home in the evening with many impressions, stories about activities,
dances, different cards they worked on during the day. I am simply delighted because she is happy there, and if she feels good - I feel good too! ;) Thank you for your dedication! 10/10 in everything you do for children!

I couldn't be happier with Blossoms on the Lane. My little boy has just turned one and has been in the Discoverers room for six or seven months, and it's been amazing from the start.
He's so happy to go in every morning, which says everything. There are no tears at drop-off - he's genuinely excited,
especially when I tell him he's going to see his key worker. He talks about them all the time and clearly adores them. It's so reassuring to know he's formed such a lovely bond.
All the staff are warm, kind and attentive, and the activities they do are fantastic. I love the regular updates on the app - the photos and notes really help me feel connected.
He's my third child and the first to attend Blossoms, and it's the best setting any of my children have been in. I'd wholeheartedly recommend it.

I couldn't recommend Blossoms on the Lane enough to other parents. I was extremely weary about sending my daughter to nursery, the concept of putting my trust into the hands of strangers to keep her safe was a scary concept but I've been pleasantly impressed from the moment she started. The updates
are great and handover on pickup is always thorough. She comes home with a smile on her face and always looks forward to going again. The staff are all so friendly and my daughter speaks very highly of them all.

The environment feels warm, safe, and nurturing, and it's clear that the children are genuinely cared for and supported. We've
seen positive growth in his confidence and happiness during his time here, and that reassurance is priceless. We are very grateful for the care, consistency, and dedication shown, and we would highly recommend the nursery to other families.

As my first born was already at Blossoms on the lane, I was well aware just how amazing they are as a nursery. My second born started in January and the settling in has been amazing, he is so happy there, they bring his brother in from the other room to spend time together (not that either of them are
that bothered as they are both so happy in their respective rooms)
There are extra curricular activities every day to keep the children engaged and constantly learning. I love that this is a curiosity led nursery, it really helps the children to learn through exploring & play.
The staff keep you updated on the app, which also gives you access to contact them if you want to also check in on your child, the staff are the heart of this nursery always so kind & helpful. I will never stop recommending this nursery!!

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.902) out of 10 for Blossoms on the Lane is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 66 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 64 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.902 for Blossoms on the Lane is calculated as follows: ( (762 Excellents x 5) + (5 Goods x 4) + (13 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) + (11 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 792 Ratings = 4.902
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Blossoms on the Lane is based on 64 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 85 number of registered child places is 17, which has been reached with 64 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
