Set within the grounds of Upton Heath Primary School, Upton Heath Nursery and Preschool provides high-quality childcare and early-years education for children from newborn to 4 years. With a cosy, brand-new baby room and a bright, spacious preschool room, the setting offers a safe, nurturing space where little ones can play, learn, and grow. Each environment is thoughtfully designed around children’s interests, inspiring creativity, curiosity, and independence through engaging, hands-on experiences.

Outside, children enjoy a large, secure, grassy garden and a sheltered playground – perfect for outdoor adventures no matter the weather. Whether digging in the mud kitchen, building with friends, or discovering nature, outdoor learning is a central part of the day, helping little ones develop confidence and a love for the world around them.

A dedicated, loving team creates a warm, family feel within the setting, working closely with parents to celebrate every child’s progress. Strong links with Upton Heath Primary School also ensure children are well prepared for a smooth, confident transition into Reception.

S4YC @ Upton Heath Primary School is a welcoming, safe environment where the children develop strong relationships with their experienced teachers.
They have a fantastic outdoor area and lots of resources for children to freely explore.
The teachers all create a nurturing individual experience for
each child and ensure all children are engaged and enthusiastic about learning.
A particular staff member in particular goes the extra mile to ensure my son's curiosity is encouraged and has ensured his start to Pre-School is both safe and fun and he is so happy to attend S4YC.

The staff are tolerant and very understanding to the children. It was very easy for my son to get used to it. When my son goes to school, he gets excited as if he is going to the zoo. Although he is 3 years old, he wants to go to school in the morning.

Love how settled my daughter is and how excited she is to attend nursery. The communication from staff is really good and I feel they cater to the children amazingly! The facilities are great and plenty for them to do.
