Puddleducks Children's Day Nursery Malton

Our toddler has been at Puddleducks for a year, and we’re really impressed with the nursery. They've been absolutely amazing, and nothing is too much trouble! Our 17-month-old has serious allergies, and Puddleducks has been absolutely fantastic with this, doing special meals and coordinating with us through the weaning process. All the staff are lovely, and our toddler has a great bond with their keyworker and toddles in happily each morning with a huge grin! There’s lots of thought put into activities, and we love the underpinning, ‘curiosity approach’; our child has come on loads since starting, and Puddleducks and we’d absolutely recommend it.

Our daughter has flourished under the care of Puddleducks. She has grown in confidence and looks forward to going every time. The staff are attentive to her needs and she enjoys their company. The nursery is well led and managed and communication is good.

Both of our girls attend Puddleducks and we couldn’t be happier. Our eldest attended a different setting previously and we made the decision to move her after she struggled to settle, often coming home/going into nursery very upset. We are thrilled with the provision that Puddleducks provides to our children and haven’t looked back. Our youngest recently joined the baby room and again, we couldn’t ask for a better team of staff to care for her. We are very lucky!

It means a lot to leave your child somewhere and not worry and know that they are incredibly well looked after and very happy. We are so happy with the care and communication we get from all the staff at Puddleducks. The rooms and resources are wonderful, the activities they do are creative and help with development and the food is fantastic. We could not ask for more, thank you.

Both of our children attend Puddleducks, one newly in preschool and one in the baby room. I will never be able to speak highly enough of this nursery and the staff throughout all departments. It’s home from home for our boys, they absolutely love going and are always excited to show and tell us what their day has consisted of. The variety of activities provided is just amazing, they are always doing something utterly amazing. The food they have is always nutritious and a great variety is served on a weekly basis. Each and every person is so special, they are so kind and love the children as though their own. We are provided weekly updates and photos so we can see all the fun they have had. The support the children receive through their nursery journey is more than you could wish for and we know without the care of Puddleducks our children wouldn’t be the children they are today. Thank you Puddleducks for being the best nursery to exist!

I have nothing but great things to say about Puddleducks, the care given to our daughter is outstanding. She has come on so much with speech since attending, she thrives there. She really looks forward to going on her days there and never gets upset, which tells me she has nothing but fun when she is there. The activities Puddleducks have set out for the children are fab, everything you could think of. The space and equipment for the children to play and learn are some of the best I’ve seen in a nursery setting.

The bonds between the staff and children are absolutely lovely to see and the way my daughter speaks about the staff is also so lovely to hear. My child can be a fussy and little and often eater, she likes plain things pretty much so doesn’t often eat loads of the meals but does give most a try, the food has very high standards. I wouldn’t have her anywhere else.

My little one has spent the last year at Puddleducks (in the toddler room) and has absolutely loved his time there. His wonderful key person helped him to quickly settle last September and has continued to help him grow and flourish in this setting. He refers to his key person as his friend which demonstrates this lovely relationship they have. He has always been delighted to attend this setting and talks about the wonderful experiences he has each day! His learning journal is detailed and his next steps follow on from the experiences he's had and the interests that he's shown at home. The feedback we get at the end of the day in addition to the weekly blog also helps me to talk about and reflect on this learning with him. The team at Puddleducks have also continued to foster a love of reading in my little one. Must mention the menu too as it has certainly been a favourite! A really beautifully presented nursery with a lovely family feel! Puddleducks really is a home from home!

The nursery also pays great attention to healthy eating habits, providing nutritious meals that cater to all dietary requirements. As parents, it's great knowing our child is well-fed and cared for throughout the day.

A beautiful nursery with amazing staff. My little boy is coming to the end of his time at Puddleducks (he starts school in September). He has had the best time at preschool here. The building, resources, and decor are fantastic, as too are the outdoor areas. Purpose-built for the youngsters in mind with lovely finishing touches means that from the second you and your child arrive, you both feel relaxed and comfortable with the surroundings. All the staff that work here are incredible, they really do get to know your little one to another level. Providing engaging and exciting activities that they know your child will love. Baking, arts and crafts, outside play as well as circle time happen daily. They go above and beyond to provide a whole range of experiences - reindeer at Christmas, ice cream vans, as well as trips out. My little boy has had a great time here, made some lovely friends, and we will be sad when his time here comes to an end. Thank you, Puddleducks.

The nursery is amazing. It is spotlessly clean, and the staff are experienced professionals who care deeply for the children in their care. They take time at handover to tell you all about the day, and the flapjack and tea for the parents in the morning is a nice touch. We have regular parent's evenings and focus child weeks that allow us to understand how to support our 2-year-old with her learning journey. They also use radios at pick-up time, so when our car pulls in, our child starts getting ready for the handover discussion. The little things make a big difference.

I really cannot rate Puddleducks and everyone in the team highly enough. My son has recently left as he starts school in September, and I really feel he has had the best possible start to his education. Staff are highly professional and knowledgeable, care so much for the children in the nursery (each one knowing him by name), and really are second to none. When we initially looked around, we were bowled over by how homely the setting is and so welcoming. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone looking for top-quality care for their child.
