Finkley Hudson's Field Nursery

Overall, I can't recommend Finkley Hudson's Field enough! It's a nurturing place that truly supports our children's early years. If you're looking for a fantastic nursery, this is it!

My son has had the best time and experience at Finkley Hudson's. He absolutely loved being there! All staff members are friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. My son got to engage in lots of fun activities and trips!

We have been with this nursery since it opened and it keeps getting better all the time. It is nice to see the growth as they get more children and more lovely staff to care for them. We started upstairs in the baby room and our son is now loving being downstairs with the bigger kids and forming nice friendships. They often have nice day trips out and he likes to bring his arts and crafts home with him to show us. All in all, I would definitely recommend this nursery.

Our daughter attended the nursery when it first opened, as her previous setting closed down. Whilst nervous about being forced to change nursery, she rapidly settled in and flourished. Whilst the facilities are great, it is the staff and their teamwork which makes the greatest impact on the experience. Seeing our little one develop confidence and have so much fun is extremely rewarding, especially knowing she is being well looked after whilst we are at work. The amount of time spent outside is fantastic, allowing the child to explore the environment and have the freedom to express themselves. In addition, our daughter really enjoys the soft play, alongside the activities of walking to the park, going into town (especially the library) and visiting the local care home. She leaves for school shortly, but we are hugely impressed by the nursery and would highly recommend it.

My 2 children have amazing care from the staff at Finkley hudsons field nursery. The staff are so nurturing and caring. The children are welcomed every day with wonderful warmth. The activities are varied and fun for them focused on their developmental needs. They don't shy away from messy play opportunities and I know it's been a great day when the children come out in their spare clothes with a grin over their faces. My children are thriving there.

My baby girl has been at Finkley Hudson's since she was 6 months old. Nervous to leave her at such a young age, yes but, when I met her key worker I had no worries whatsoever. A wealth of experience and a long career in childcare left me reassured. The manager has always been attentive and reassuring and all the staff are very welcoming when dropping off and collecting. I receive lots of information on my girls day when I pick her up and the nursery also has a website for home use to see photos of their day with a written piece about what they have done. The nursery is clean, safe and secure.

They have separate areas for different ages, a sensory room, messy play room, a lovely garden and my personal favourite, a soft play area! The staff often take the children out for trips too! The children learn so much within this particular nursery setting. Another thing I highly rate is things like, Father's Day, Grandparents Day, sports day and other holidays that family can be involved with. Highly Recommended!

My twins joined the nursery in April, 2024 and they absolutely love it. The staff are really friendly and keep us posted about everything. My twins smile with joy when they enter the nursery. Thanks to the lovely staff for being the next home to my twins.

Amazing nursery the staff are so friendly and you feel so part of the family when you are there my little girl has been going since January and she is thriving in the baby room there and loves going to the nursery I tell everyone I know with children how great it is and don't ever want my child to leave there.

Having just moved to the area, I was keen to find a preschool for my son that he would be cared for but given freedom to express himself and be creative. He had previously struggled at his last setting but the staff at Finkley Hudson's Field Nursery knew exactly how to communicate with him. The difference seen in him is better than I could have hoped for! He's so happy and I can see how much he is learning and developing. The staff are so lovely and always have time for you. Best preschool ever! I am so grateful.

Really lovely nursery. A good variety of activities inside and out in all weathers. Staff are great with the children and communication is excellent. It’s nice to see photos of what the children have been up to and hear how they are progressing. My 3-year-old has been attending since September and has grown in confidence interacting with others and building friendships. My 1-year-old has recently started and clearly loves the soft play and different spaces to play in/messy activities. She began climbing after her first visit. Both attend for one full day and a half day a week and always come back tired but with smiles on their faces. Not having to worry about packed lunches, nappies and wipes is a bonus for us, especially with the morning rush. We can relax at work knowing our children are being well looked after and having a fun day learning, playing and getting lots of fresh air. It is pricey but has good quality facilities and care, in my opinion, so worth it.

Since my son started in January, we have had nothing but positivity from this nursery. All the staff are so welcoming and friendly. He loves it and so do we, we made the right choice sending him here!

Our son began Finkley Hudson's Field Nursery in September 2023, as he'd had a mixed experience with his previous nursery it's fair to say we were quite nervous, but we didn't need to be! The team on site are wonderful, very supportive and kind, they instantly formed relationships with him (and us) and he has absolutely thrived since attending the setting. He goes in happy every day and comes home raving about his day. He loves every minute of it, from the setting (with its own soft play), to the days out (shops, farms, parks), to the key worker's support and the amazing friends he's made. As parents we really appreciate the level of communication, they update the app daily so you have a full rundown of what the day looked like, the learning areas and what they have eaten. Every week we receive a round-up e-mail looking back on the week and providing a plan for the following week, identifying the theme of the week and recommending activities to get your child warmed up in advance - it's amazing!

My twins attended Finkley and they are so excited to attend, when I collect them I get a handover of how they have been, and any issues that may have been identified. The staff have brilliant communication with me. I honestly could not believe the support I had got for one of my twins. It has made me feel at ease knowing my children are in good and safe hands. I would highly recommend to parents for their children to attend Finkley.

Staff are all extremely friendly and so easy to talk to and raise any concerns we may have regarding our daughter! Excellent service from all staff and our daughter absolutely loves attending the setting! Very very happy!

I feel very lucky to have my son attend such a wonderful setting and couldn’t be happier.

My son has been going here now since it opened in September and so far we are really happy with our decision to put him here. He is usually very happy to see his new friends in the mornings when being dropped off and comes home well worn out from all the fun activities they have been doing with him during the day. The staff have all been lovely since our first visit and made us feel very welcome. They are very informative about what they have been up to during the day and seem to plan their adventures well, I love the fact they go outside as often as they can. I look forward to my son being able to tell me himself how much he likes going which at the way he is developing wont be too much longer.

Wonderful nursery and amazing staff who treat all the children like their own. My little boy loves going out on the ‘van’ and all the adventures they have. Staff have helped my little one understand his allergies and are extremely allergy aware.

My husband and I are so happy with Finkley Hudson's Field Nursery. I feel really secure in this nursery and I can't explain how nice the staff are all of them are so kind and caring towards my child. My child getting better and developing, he is so happy to come everyday and always has a smile on his face in Nursery.

This nursery is kind, caring and welcoming right off the bat. The team care for and adore every child in their care. Your child’s well-being, education and health are their centre points and always make you leave with a smile. Knowing your child is in safe hands.
