Acorn Day Nursery and Outdoor Learning Centre (Emberton)

The nursery is quite pleasant, and the staff are notably supportive. The manager is approachable, friendly, and well-informed. My child enjoys attending and is advancing steadily, which Is very positive for me as a parent.

The Acorns team goes above and beyond for our children. They're kind, nurturing and really are family to the children. The nature kindergarten is wonderful for daily outdoor play and adventures. We are delighted to have such a great nursery and team.

Enrolling our son here has been the best decision we've made! He has settled in so quickly & the difference we are seeing in him already is amazing! His confidence, speech & imagination have improved so much in a few weeks! He is excited to go in the mornings & his delight in the evenings telling us about his day is beautiful to see. He is absolutely thriving now! The nursery is very much child led & focus is always to have the child's best interests at heart. Outdoor play is engaging, imaginative & safe. They have a huge field to roam with different activities available at all times. They've been using tools to make stickmen & elder necklaces recently. The staff have all been wonderful & super supportive of our son & us as well & they look like they genuinely love being there. We get detailed handovers at night & pictures & updates on the nursery app through the day. We honestly couldn't have chosen a better nursery for our boy to attend and we can't wait to see what he gets up to next

We recently moved our child here from another preschool so we were really nervous about the transition, but he absolutely loves it and has settled in far quicker than we expected! The staff have been fantastic from day one, making him feel welcome and taking the time to really get to know him. It's clear he feels comfortable, happy and cared for. The outdoor space is a real luxury, with so many opportunities to explore, learn and develop independence - from pond dipping and digging for worms to making things from natural materials and collecting conkers. We're so pleased we made the move and love hearing what activities they've got up to each day.

Really lovely staff, Eric has gone out of his way to help settle our son into nature kindergarten by listening to what he's interested in and doing a fun activity with it. It's a beautiful setting and gives the children such a wonderful opportunity to explore outside and nature. Would absolutely recommend

I'll be sad when my little girl leaves in September but glad I have littlest one starting!

My grandson has been with Acorns since he was a baby and he starts school next September! Throughout this time going to nursery has always been exciting and educational. He has never not wanted to go. Thank you to everyone who has helped with his development, especially in the field which seems to be his natural habitat! He has a great experience at Acorns during this formative time.

Staff are always so caring and available, it's like a family.

My son loves the nursery especially going to the forest school field, he comes home having done different activities every day! The staff are great always understanding and adaptable to ever changing needs of a toddler.

Staff at Emberton are always friendly and professional. They ensure that the children are safe and enjoy their time at the nursery. The addition of the big field is great and the children gain so much from learning in the outdoor environment.

A lovely nursery, centred around excellent childcare, with a fun, friendly atmosphere & very approachable staff. My daughter has been going since she was 5months and loves it -Trips round Emberton park are a highlight!

A lot of effort is put into various events - reading weeks, valentines, Christmas etc with parents included where possible which is lovely. Would definitely recommend this nursery to others!

My child started attending Acorns in 2025 and has loved every moment since. There is a genuine joy to attend in the morning with he staff being so caring, attentive and friendly. It's lovely to see the children coming together and mixing with one another at pick up to ease the transition between rooms. The children are frequently taken on adventures and updates on your child are plentiful which is great viewing for a bad day in the office! We couldn't appreciate the work the staff do more in helping our child grow and learn in a happy and safe environment. Also, the food on offer is exceptional, the menu is always well though out, nutritious and varied to encourage them to eat a wider variety!

Our son attends the Nature Kindergarten at Acorn Emberton and has really grown in confidence and loves his time there! We specifically chose this setting because the children are outdoors at all times all year round, the very best place for them to explore, play and learn! The field has so much space, different areas to explore, and the equipment and activities on offer are great! All the staff are friendly, fun and caring, and communications from them are good, either in person at pick-up/drop-off or through observations/updates. We are also impressed with the variety of nutritious meals/snacks provided.

My son loves nature kindergarten. I'm so pleased with the activities, staff engagement and facilities. The parties for families are a lovely extra bonus. Hot lunch served is also great! Thanks nature kindergarten staff!
