Sunbeams Nursery

My 2.5-year-old has been really settled at nursery. He has a good relationship with his key worker and talks about her and his friends at home and sings songs he has learned there. Nursery staff have been really supportive of potty training and give a really clear handover at the end of each session.

My son has come on so much since he started a year ago, especially since going into the plum room his speech has come on so much. He loves the football he plays. Every time he's happy to see one lady in particular every time we arrive big smiles every time. His key workers are really great with telling him they tell us everything he has done for the day, even uploading pictures for us to see. Overall the best nursery.

My son has recently transitioned from half days to full days with no problems. With my son still breastfeeding, I was nervous this would not be the case but the staff kept him stimulated and entertained all day. He is extremely active, climbs a lot, and needs to always be doing something whether that's figuring something out or being mentally stimulated which the staff at Sunbeams are excellent at doing. He's coming on leaps and bounds and so happy he's in a place that encourages him and keeps him safe!

We've had both our children attend Sunbeams so been with them since the first covid lockdown when my daughter was 10 months old, and it is a really great nursery. Love the staff, the activities, and the care they provide and my children have loved being there. Would recommend it to anyone who is thinking of nurseries for their children!

My little boy has been going to SunBeams for 2 years now, with 15 free hours spread over Weds, Thurs, and Fridays, Sunbeams was more than accommodating with this for us. He has been in the Plum Patch and now in the Pear Patch. He loves his time there and has come out of his shell so much. We love sunbeams!

The soft play facilities and pet guinea pigs make it a really special nursery. My children enjoy the food and daily activities, as well as the extra curricular activities like swimming and football.

I could not think of a better nursery to send my children! All of the girls who work at Sunbeams work very hard to ensure all of the children are meeting their needs and giving them a little push if needed.

Highly recommend! I couldn't ask for a better nursery for my daughter, the girls are absolutely amazing with her and she absolutely adores them. How well they've made her feel welcome and how much she actually learns in a day from them is incredible.

Staff always give us detailed feedback on how our child's day went, and what they ate and bring up any concerns in a constructive way - not just from their key worker but across all staff there.

You won't find a nicer nursery anywhere! Highly recommend.

My son previously went to another nursery and didn't settle there, he is so much happier at Sunbeams! The warmth of the staff and the atmosphere in the room is lovely. The staff have really got to know who my son is, his likes and dislikes, and it's been lovely to see him blossom. The activities they do are great and I get lots of information about what he's been up to - the ball pool is also a big bonus for my son!

My daughter first started at Sunbeams when she was 11 months old, she is now 3 and has therefore experienced all 3 rooms. Staff are very friendly and the activities they do with the children are very engaging to support their development. They have a varied menu which my daughter enjoys. Sunbeams are always looking for ways to update their provision and they take onboard parent's feedback. Most importantly, I know that my child is safe and happy whilst in their care.

Moving from South Africa has been stressful and busy. Sunbeams has been a lifesaver. It's a place where my daughter can play and learn. The Sunbeams Nursery has really supported my daughter's transition from South Africa. They are lovely, warm and caring people. She is very excited to go to school in the morning. They put a lot of effort into each day. Thanks for everything guys.

Fantastic nursery! Staff are so kind, caring, loving and accommodating. My son has been coming for nearly a year and he is so happy and confident. Sunbeams show a lot of respect to the children and parents. They cater to all children's needs.

I can not recommend this nursery enough! My little boy started at Sunbeams when he was 10 months old and is due to leave for school in July. The journey he has had through the years at the nursery has had a massive effect on his development, He's striving in all areas and the staff's passion and dedication has been a massive part of that. Being a first-time mum, different stages of a toddler can be daunting from weaning, potty training and emotional development but the staff have always been great in listening to my queries and concerns and guided/provided me with assurance professionally. I love how the nursery are now getting my little boy ready for school by installing small responsibilities such as making sure they have their own bottles ready to take home etc. He loves going to nursery every single day, spending time with his friends, learning and comes home with a smile on his face. If you want a nursery that puts the children's needs first, then this is 100% the place for you.

Such a wonderful nursery! The staff are all amazing and wonderfully natured, experienced and professional. He has truly enjoyed his time here since coming at 9 months old! And we will be really sad to leave! The learning and play have all been amazing, the management of the nursery and I can genuinely say I have never had any problems. Thank you to all the staff in each room and everyone who has been a part of his life during his time at Sunbeams.

My son started here in August 2023, he absolutely loves it here. He's always having fun playing and doing lots of activities and things to bring home and the staff always update the app and show us pictures of his achievements. He goes out to classes with staff, the staff are always so welcome and bubbly and always happy to see every child. I have never had an issue, even when staff have moved and new have arrived, they are always communicating with parents. His key worker is fab with him and he is progressing so well. Highly recommend.

It’s just a horrible experience. Strictly not recommended; completely unprofessional! Unstoppable missing items, careless, ignored your wishes! I made a mistake when I brought my son there, he is my first child and I never had experience with childcare before, was I supposed to check or something? But the more he went there the more angry for this place I became! I'm really unlucky because I couldn’t find anything new, all schools were busy and we are about to finish this horrible place and go to proper school! I didn’t want to leave a bad review as I’m busy but again I got problems from them! Maybe my review will help the parents not to make mistakes and do not bring the child there if you want a proper professional childcare!

My daughter started here in September, we moved from a much more expensive nursery in Leeds due to relocating. I was worried before we started but the staff and the learning environment at Sunbeams really are amazing. I would personally recommend this place to anyone in the local area!

First time mum and I could not choose a better nursery for my baby girl. She has been developing so well thanks to all the girls and her little friends. Their flexible schedule helps me a lot and my baby really enjoys being in the nursery.
