A lovely nursery, all staff are really friendly and approachable, The manager is supporting and welcoming.
A personal approach is taken to the children, my son has excelled in such a small space of time. He is always happy to go in and finds comfort from the staff. We love our daily updates and photos.

The nursery itself is well-equipped, has a big garden area covered and uncovered and very clean.

Nice nursery, especially the welcoming indoor setup, the cleanliness, the engaging activities, and the emphasis on spending time outdoors. The staff members are always kind and caring, which we truly appreciate. However, we have noticed a high staff turnover, which can sometimes be a bit unsettling for the children as they build relationships with their caregivers. We understand that staffing challenges exist, but we hope there is a way to bring more stability to the team.

It would be nice to have more lightning as it's hard to see when going to the building especially at pick up in winter time. The car park gets a bit flooded when it rains.

Overall Experience

I am very pleased with the overall experience my son has at nursery. Attending nursery has enhanced his social skills and he often tells me about the friends he plays with. I love seeing photos of the activities he's taken part in on the app, and there's always a range of different activities available which enhances so many different skills whether it's fine motor, pencil control or maths for example. He never has a bad day at nursery, and they always spend some time outside which my son loves - he loves playing in mud or running around with a big stick! The additional Spanish classes provided I think are an excellent way of introducing different languages and cultures to children at a young age, and hopefully sets him up for a life of curiosity and an eagerness to explore the world. Recently at Christmas, he was given a book as a Christmas present which was extremely thoughtful, especially as he loves reading and bedtime stories.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It's fantastic to hear how much your son enjoys his time at nursery, from making friends to exploring the outdoors. We love that he embraces messy play and outdoor adventures-running around with a big stick sounds like so much fun! It's also great to...

Overall Experience

My child has attended this nursery since April 2024. The general facilities and cleanliness is very good and my child has always come home happy and is learning at a good rate. However there are areas where this nursery needs to improve, mainly with staff, the nursery staff are not very talkative to parents when picking and dropping off your children. The staff no longer allow you in the room to drop and collect your child so you are in a small area where everyone can hear your conversations and there is a general lack of privacy and sensitive conversations are not private at all. Staff also forgot to give medication back at end of the day. The staff of a nursery are very important to the children and parents who build up relationships so it is a shame. Overall this nursery is excellent for learning has good facilities and very clean. I would recommend this nursery as I feel although there is room for improvement the general qualities are good and the faults can be easy improved.

Danielle Day Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2022
Danielle Day

Hi, I’m Danni. My early years journey began in 2002 when I started my own childminding business, which I ran for over 10 years. In 2022, I joined Muddy Boots Nursery and have since progressed into the role of Nursery Manager.

I believe early years practitioners should be co-adventurers alongside the children, supporting them as they explore and grow. Creating a warm, home-from-home environment is very important to me, where children feel safe, secure and confident to thrive.

The most rewarding part of my role is seeing children grow, reach their milestones and develop into their own unique personalities. I also value building strong partnerships with families and supporting staff to grow in confidence and develop their careers in early years.

I would love to welcome you to our nursery and show you around, so you can experience our warm and nurturing environment for yourself.
