The Old School House Nursery Walmley

I really recommend the Old School House Walmley. The staff are really friendly and passionate about their job. I believe that the knowledgeable staff and the extracurricular activities, really helped my daughters advance much more than many of their peers outside of nursery. My eldest daughter attended the nursery from when it opened and graduated in September. Her experiences have really given her a head start at school to the point where she's one of the top performers in her class. My youngest daughter still attends the nursery and has recently moved up to Badgers (pre-school) and loves the new environment and the staff team. I couldn't recommend this nursery enough.

The Old School House was the first nursery we viewed, and quite frankly all the others just didn’t compare and knew this was where we wanted to send our son. The staff made the transition to first leaving our child as smooth as possible and understood it was an emotional time for the parents. The staff are second to none and we feel so happy with our son being there. The nursery has played such a huge role in our son’s development. We are comforted by the updates we receive via the portal which allows us to see how he is getting on and we appreciate and look forward to the reports and observations we receive on him. The staff have such a personal touch and we know that our son has such a wonderful day when he attends nursery. We can’t wait to watch him grow and develop further at The Old School House.

Our child has been attending The Old School House Nursery Walmley for about 18 months now. We are extremely happy with the progress and development our child continues to show and the constant communication between the staff and ourselves is exceptional. Our child loves going to nursery and is familiar with all staff members. We have had a great overall experience and can’t thank the Old School House team enough.

We moved our son here from another local nursery as I fell in love with the activities and setting. My son is thriving and happy. They offer two healthy cooked meals per day as well as breakfast and snacks and include nappies too. It’s brilliant value for money. The activities are engaging and the staff are fully focussed on playing with the children. His speech has also improved. I am so happy we made the move!

Little one is absolutely thriving since starting at Walmley and I couldn’t be happier with choosing The Old School House Nursery.

Our daughter has only been at the Old School House for two months but she's already so settled and so happy in her nursery environment. We are confident she is cared for, well fed, well cleaned, engaged and educated. The staff have been nothing but reassuring and they always have a smile on their face, despite having physically-demanding jobs. Our daughter has formed some really nice bonds with several members of staff and we genuinely believe she is really enjoying her days at nursery. We are very impressed with all the communication from the nursery, ranging from upcoming events to the day-to-day goings on with our daughter, including nappy changes, food eaten and activities enjoyed.

The Old School House was the best decision we have made and the staff are like family. I have absolute trust when dropping my son off and he is learning and developing with confidence!

The staff have the most beautiful and kindest of hearts and treat our son as if they were their own, he comes out ranting and raving about what he’s done his friends his teachers as he calls them! Our son didn’t speak when he went to the nursery which as a parent was very concerning, the staff were quick to adapt to his needs, and now he’s never quiet talking away! And I have always said I believe this is the nursery bringing out the best in him! I would love to thank you all so much and also can’t wait for his last year with you as a nursery, then I’ll be putting my twins in with you! Thank you!

Our daughter has been extremely happy since joining The Old School House. The staff our polite and accommodating and our baby seems super content at drop off and pick up times. There is a great variety of food and activities for our children to enjoy. I’m really excited for the extracurricular activities our daughter will be able to enjoy as she gets older. The app is such a lovely way to communicate with the nursery staff and monitor your child’s daily routine and overall development (through observations) I would recommend The Old School House to any parent.

Fantastic nursery! Staff are really helpful and have noticed improvements in my child’s development over the course of the last three months. Facilities are up to date and my child looks forward to going each week!

So helpful and always go above and beyond. Very happy we chose this nursery. The staff are easy to speak to and always give a full run-through of what they’ve done for the day and what was enjoyed and learned. Couldn’t recommend any more.

All the team are amazing! They are friendly, welcoming and can’t do enough for you and your little one. They pick up on every little detail about your baby and they make you feel so relaxed knowing your baby is in the best hands. The nursery itself is beautiful and always clean! The food is fantastic, a great range of variety for the little ones taste buds to explore. I really didn’t want to leave my baby but the team really eased that pain, I know my baby is safe and always happy when there and I will be forever grateful to all the team for taking the best care of our little one. I would highly recommend to anybody. I always get the sense this isn’t just a job to them - they genuinely love and care for your baby and always have their best interests at heart. They keep you updated with the app which is brilliant and will call when necessary - or even if you as a parent just need some reassurance they always make sure they take the time to do this. Thank you for all that you do!

There is so much more I can say, but all in all - it is a great nursery and I'm glad we chose this one. We know she will thrive here

The food is also of a high standard. Nutritious and healthy

My little boy has been attending The Old Schoolhouse House Nursery in Walmley since the end of January and since then he has come along leaps and bounds. He settled quickly and loves all of the girls there and has a big smile on his face whenever we arrive and leave. He’s tried so many new foods and has a really good daily routine. He naps well after lunch as they close the curtains and put relaxing sounds on. I went one lunch to pick him up and all of the little ones are sound asleep. All of the staff are fantastic and have given me advice on things such as teeth brushing and they have drop-in sessions for help on things such as potty training. The garden area is beautiful and they are always doing different indoor and outdoor activities that we get updates and pictures of. I’ve been to some parent and child stay and plays, they even had one where they have petting animals which was lovely. We are really happy with how well our 21-month-old son gets on there and would highly recommend it.

The nursery staff did wonders getting my baby boy integrated into their setting and did just as well settling me down into my son being in this kind of environment too. Their use of the app allows us constant updates and helps us track our little ones eating and health updates. My shy little boy has come on leaps and bounds in the short time he has been at nursery and I’ve every faith this is the perfect place to help him develop happily!

Having taken the difficult decision to uproot and move our child to the nursery twelve months ago, due to an ongoing poor experience at another nursery, we have been continually reassured that it was the right decision.

We are so very pleased with all aspects of the nursery and would have no issues recommending it to anyone who wants a great, fun and safe environment for their children to experience.

The staff are really lovely, especially the ones in my child's room. The surroundings are beautiful and they do so many different activities with the children. They have excellent communication and always keep me up to date with my child's daily activities.
