Providing high quality day care for children, The Orange Tree Day Nursery is conveniently located only a short walk from Derby town centre.

Inside the nursery there is a Baby Suite where the youngest of visitors receive close care and attention from the experienced and caring team. There is also a Wise Owls Early Years Unit where children aged 3-5 engage in free and structured play, always guided by the nursery's practitioners. The nursery benefits from a great outdoors space which provides more learning and play opportunities throughout all seasons.

The Orange Tree Day Nursery is open 7:30am - 6pm, Monday - Friday, and welcomes visitors to the site at any time. Please contact the team to find out more.

It is coming up to 2 years since my son started at The Orange Tree Day Nursery. He has a fantastic relationship with his key worker and has a really lovely friendship group in Butterflies, often talking about his friends at home.
The app the nursery uses is great to receive daily photos and videos
of what they have been up. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending.

My son loves the Orange Tree Day Nursery and especially likes to spend his time with his key worker. the nursery involves the parents and it's lovely to go in on occasions to see how he interacts with staff and his friends. He has come on so much in the last few months with speaking and development
and I really think this has helped with all they do at nursery. I would highly recommend.

We’re very happy with the nursery. Our daughter is on the older side for her room (Blossoms) but until she can move up to the next room, she often gets the opportunity to go into that room and loves it. She loves the staff and we feel really comfortable and confident leaving her there, knowing she’s

I can't recommend this nursery enough. It's a tough decision finding a nursery for your baby, it has to feel right and everything about the staff here make the transition the easiest it can be. From the outside space to the activities my child can take part in, along with some little animals to look
after and say hello to, this nursery really is the whole package. A big thank you and well done to everyone here, you do a wonderful job!

Our little boy has attended The Orange Tree Day Nursery at Burnaston for the past 4 months starting in Blossoms, he has really taken to the place and has a special bond with his key workers. He loves all the amazing activities from painting, messy play, outdoor play, reading time and especially the
sing songs as these are his favourites.
I was reserved about him going to nursery but the staff put my mind at ease from day one, they have an open door policy and we talk regularly which is great.
The staff are very attentive and he is happy when he sees everyone, especially his friends. It has been a delight watching him gain so much confidence and learning new skills, he also likes to get his friends involved too with singing which is adorable!

Since the children have started nursery at the start of January they have been made to feel so welcome by everyone which has helped them to settle very quickly. They love the facilities, especially the outdoor space and being able to be outside as part of their rooms.
The communication from the nursery
is especially good, I enjoy receiving my daily pictures and comments. The children have really enjoyed their weekly topics and telling me everything they have learnt. They are very happy here.

My 10 month old daughter loves her time at nursery, she always goes in with a big smile on her face! The facilities are lovely and clean, and they have so many fun toys and activities to entertain her. They have a great outdoor area too and always try to get the kids out in the fresh air every day.
The staff are so friendly and take great care of the kids. The app is also good to keep updated on what they've been up to throughout the day.

This nursery is fantastic. The staff are amazing. Facilities are second to none, and the variety of food and snacks is such peace of mind knowing my little one is getting all the nutrition they need through the day. The staff are so engaging and really put our minds at rest if we have any worries or
concerns. Nothing is too much trouble, and my little ones goes into nursery happy and leave at the end of the day with a huge smile on his face. I'm happy because I know my little one is happy.

My eleven-month-old and two-year-old started at the Orange Tree Day nursery at the beginning of June. At this point, the nursery was being refurbished and I have had the pleasure of seeing how incredible the transformation has been. I can see how well thought out the planning has been. I feel the development
and safety of our children are regarded so highly. My little ones are very happy at the nursery, so well cared for and I feel very well informed. I feel the nursery has allowed a collaborative approach with us as parents to aid our children's development. The regular observations and updates allow us to keep up with their development and needs. The staff are wonderful. So friendly and helpful and I couldn't be happier. My children absolutely love the incredible range of activities they do and I really love the theme-based weeks as my little girl comes home and tells me all about the new things they did at nursery. I could not praise this nursery enough. Thank you all!

Our experience of this nursery has been fantastic. My daughter was anxious when she first started and I worried she'd find it hard building a bond, but the staff all made a huge effort to help her settle and discover her interests. The communication I receive from them is always great. I love seeing
all the photos of what she's been doing on the app. The nursery is very child focused and I feel confident knowing they will always do what's best for my daughter. I would definitely recommend this nursery to other parents.

We as parents are incredibly happy with The Orange Tree Day Nursery! So far they have not done a thing wrong! Excellent communication with the EYLog which outlines what he has eaten, how long he has slept, nappy changes and a general breakdown of what he has done in the day. This communication continues
on pick ups also! Our son has an absolute blast and his days are busy playing and learning! We love it most as we can see that his overall social skills are building and getting stronger allowing him to develop his own little personality! Thank You for everything you do for our son!

My son has been at this nursery for almost a year, he absolutely loves it, so much so he is sometimes quite hesitant to come home! His relationship with his carers is amazing he happily waves me off in the morning without a care in the world. I would recommend The Orange Tree Day Nursery, the care
