Acorn Day Nursery at Hedgerows offers quality day care for up to 48 children aged from 4 months to 4 years old. The nursery is conveniently located in Netherfield.

The nursery's friendly and experienced team pride themselves on creating an environment that is welcoming for both children and their families, inclusive, and engaging, giving children the best preparation for their early years education.

There are purposeful environments set up for children of different ages. The Acorns and Squirrels Room welcomes children aged up to two years and offers spacious playing areas, a secure garden, and quiet areas for when down time is needed. The Oaks room is set up for children aged 3 & 4 to play, learn and explore, also offering quiet areas for children to use, as well as a spacious garden.

The nursery runs Forest School sessions, giving children the chance to explore the natural environment in a fun and creative way and they also organise regular trips out.

Funding & Fees

Full time place starting from £1,350
Full day from £70.00
Morning session from £42.00
Afternoon session from £37.50

Fees are inclusive of all meals, snacks, drinks (including approved formula milk), nappies and activities.
We do not charge registration fees, only a £100 deposit which is refunded against the first month’s fees. We don’t charge for settling in sessions, but we do expect payment for all nursery fees to be paid up front at the beginning of each month, which is standard practice for all childcare providers. We do not charge for bank holidays, our four training days each year, or for the three days closure between Christmas and New Year. We do, however, charge for days children don’t attend through illness or holidays, apart from exceptional circumstances.

My son has attended Acorns Nursery for the past three years and from the very beginning the team have been incredibly helpful, attentive, and genuinely invested in his development. They have played a huge role in supporting his learning, preparing him for school, and helping him build his confidence.
We
are extremely grateful to everyone at the nursery for the care and dedication they show every day, although we will be very sad when he moves onto school, we are so thankful that his nursery experience has been such a positive and happy one.
I truly couldn't recommend them enough.

Using Acorns nursery as a first time Mum has been such a positive experience. The team and my son's key person worked above and beyond to support my son with his struggles with settling into nursery. Extra settling in sessions were provided which really helped him to become familiar with the new environment.
The continuous communication and updates on the app have been amazing and really supported me with leaving him at nursery. My son is looked after well, has lots of fun and enjoys going in to see the staff and his friends.
I have had no problems at all and would highly recommend Acorns for first time parents.

Such a lovely nursery, my son really enjoys spending time here. All the staff are really friendly and put a lot of time and effort into all the children. They always have a great variety of things for them to play with and explore.

My daughter recently moved from oaks room to squirrels. I was nervous for her because the new room has older children in it and it was another change for her to deal with


The whole move up was so easy and the staff from each room were extremely helpful and gave us 0 concerns.


My daughter has

developed a huge amount since joining the nursery and she now runs to get in and see her friends and staff.


Every drop off and pick up the staff have a chat and tell me about her day.

Nursery team are absolutely wonderful! Our daughter has attended a couple of nurseries and this is the first one she has fully settled in and enjoys going to. The staff have made us all feel welcomed, and have bought the most out of our little girl. We would recommend this nursery to anyone in Milton

We have had a great experience and Acorns has met all our expectations. We're really happy with the quality of feedback from the nursery practitioners when we pick up our child. They give a comprehensive detailed account of the important part of our child's day and are always willing to discuss any
issues further. This really gives us a sense of thorough care and of course, sets our minds at ease for when we're from our child. The app used is updated with the regular feeding and changes throughout the day, but we also get photos of certain activities from time to time which gives us further details of which specific development areas these activities are targeting.

My daughter has been going here since the start of the school term. She loves it. Always come out with a massive smile on her face. She does lots of different activities which she seems to really enjoy. I love the updates and photos that get sent throughout the day, it gives a good insight to what
shes doing. The staff are all really welcoming in the morning and are very friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone considering enrolling here.

My son is one year old, and going back to work was one of the hardest things I've had to do. I was so nervous about how he would adjust and whether he'd be in good hands since he's still so little. But honestly, I couldn't be happier with the care he's receiving.


The manager and staff are absolutely

wonderful so warm, friendly, caring, and attentive. It makes all the difference. My son's key worker has built such a lovely bond with him, and I can see how much he enjoys being there. In the morning before we leave the house, my son would reach for his nursery bag. And when I get there he would give a big cuddle to his key worker and that's how I know he's happy.


I'm truly so grateful for this nursery knowing my son is in good hands has made it possible for me to return to work.

My daughter loves the nusery and my husband always finds its location very convenient. He always finds the staff very professional and caring towards the children. I will highly recommend this nusery to any parent .

My son absolutely loves going in every single day. He has so much fun. He's made some lovely friends and he loves all the staff. This will be his last little couple of months. all the staff have helped him so much with his speech with him going on the toilet he's very happy to be dropped off and running
all by himself like a big boy.

We couldn't be happier with the care and attention our toddler receives at Acorn Hedgerows Family Centre this last 2 months.
From the very first visit, the staff made us feel welcomed and reassured us with their warmth and professionalism. A special thank you to five ladies in particular -you are truly
amazing! Apologies if we missed anyone, but please know that you all play a vital role in making this place so special.
We love that the caregivers genuinely understand the needs of toddler and are always patient, gentle, and engaging. It's clear that they are not just doing a job-they are passionate about what they do. Communication through the app is excellent, and we always feel in the loop with updates on our toddler progress and daily experiences. It's such a relief to know our little one is in such capable hands. We wholeheartedly recommend Acorn Hedgerows Family Cen. to any parent looking for a nurturing and supportive environment for their child.

My little one has only been attending the nursery for a few weeks now but has settled in so well. The staff have made him feel so comfortable and safe that within the first few sessions, he was running in excited to be at nursery.

My son started in September and he's loved it, the staff are lovely with him and he's always coming home and talking about what he did and what he ate.
