Munchkins Nursery & Pre-School Brightlingsea

My little one is due to start school in September, and the nursery has been supporting both my son and me in preparation for him to start school. The nursery is absolutely fantastic and dedicates so much time to the children and always puts the children first. I am always seeing such amazing activities on his app and on social media, and can see how much he loves going. My little one comes home full of beans and talks all about his day, and can't wait to go back for more fun. He has built so many bonds with his adults, including Sophie at the beginning, Emily, Megan and Ashlea. My son absolutely loves taking part in activities with Emily and Ashlea, and loves them both so much. I feel so assured that my son is happy and safe in his environment at nursery, and I love that the children get to explore the environment outside of nursery, like trips to the beach or the library. We are so lucky that Munchkins has made such an impact on his start in life, and we are going to miss Munchkins so much

My Daughter has been attending this Nursery for 3 years and is very happy here, The staff are lovely and very caring and dedicated to the children. The outside area for the children is great. They often go on outings to the library and beach.

I have two girls attending Brightlingsea Munchkins and they both absolutely love it. My eldest wakes up everyday asking if she's going to nursery that day. They are both so excited to go in. The staff are all very friendly and easy to get along with this makes me feel super comfortable leaving the girls in their care. I love how much they go above and beyond and that the girls get to go out on trips weekly to different places. They learn so much. I can't thank all the staff enough.

We are so grateful for the support Munchkins has provided to our son throughout his time at the nursery. He has been going there since he turned one, and is now two. During that time he has developed so much and grown in confidence. He is always so eager to go in and can't leave without saying bye to everyone. Even through challenges that he has faced, the nursery have been super supportive, making sure things are in place to make it smoother for everyone - even for us at home! We are particularly thankful to Erica, Sarah and Ashlea who are always friendly, and supportive. Nothing is ever an issue!

From the moment I viewed munchkins I knew it was the one for my little boy. The staff are beyond amazing, so caring and supportive. My little boy is so happy attending and has formed the most special bond with his key worker. The food is varied and nutritious which he seems to enjoy! I love the updates and pictures provided to me. Recently attended the Mother's Day morning and it was such a special day, really lovely to see him in his environment and exploring the garden! I recommend munchkins to everyone I speak to, my friend has just joined her little girl too! Thank you to everyone involved. You are amazing!

My daughter has been attending Munchkins well over a year and absolutely loves it. We will all be sad when she has to start school in September 2026. The staff have been fantastic and my daughter has learnt so much especially with interacting with other children and staff. We have never had push back from our daughter about attending nursery she goes each time looking forward to her 5 hours if play and mummy not moaning lol she comes home happy but shattered.... thank you for making her feel included and seen x

I cannot recommend Munchkins at Brightlingsea enough. My daughter comes out happy every day and has grown in so much confidence. She comes out telling us about what she's done during the day and we are amazed at the opportunities she has.

My son is having such a fantastic time in pre school. He is really starting to build friendships with other children and is so enthusiastic to go and play. He eats really well and nursery and I see so many lovely activities through his tapestry which he has been up too. My son has developed so so much since starting with munchkins and is absolutely thriving!!

Brilliant nursery, all the staff are amazing, cannot fault them after 2 and a half years, enjoyed every minute of it, would recommend Munchkins to anybody with kids, brilliant place, you will not be disappointed.

My daughter is in her 4th and last year at Munchkins in Brightlingsea. She is so ready for school and that's down to all the support and Ready Steady School programmes they have in place. She started in the baby room and the staff team worked so closely with her, showing patience and kindness everyday. They built her confidence at nursery and she's now thriving more than ever in their preschool room. We can't thank them enough for the relationships she's built and for all that she has learnt through play.

Overall I couldn't recommend Munchkins more, it's a great place for kids to learn and grow!

My son recently started back at Munchkins (previously went to the nursery but in the baby room a couple of years back). He has slotted straight in with the help of the amazing staff and his key worker who is so lovely. My son enjoys his time at Munchkins and I have such peace of mind knowing that when I drop him off for his session he always has so much fun. He has progressed massively in such a short time regarding recognising his emotions and his imaginative play, I can't wait to see what the rest of this year holds for him at Munckins!

My 4 year old daughter and 1 year old son attend Brightlingsea Munchkins Nursery & Preschool and absolutely love it. The staff are phenomenal! The range of activities and learning experiences designed for the children are outstanding and I plan to continue using the nursery for wrap around care when my daughter starts school in September!

My son is 2 and attends Munchkins Nursery and he absolutely loves it, he comes back from every session having learnt something new that day. Nothing but good things to say about the nursery and the lovely staff. Sending your little ones off to be in someone else’s care can be really hard but I always send him in without a worry in my mind, knowing he’s in the absolute best hands.

Our daughter loves going to nursery every day. Her growth and development have been amazing to see and so much of that is down to the staff and set up at Munchkins. They are so attentive and caring. The updates are so fun to see and the updates at pick-up time are invaluable. The support and advice the staff have given us as parents (for example, with potty training) has also been fantastic! Thank you Munchkins!

My munchkin is 4 in February and she will be off to school in 2024. I have received a little video of her practising her writing (tracing) as well as saying numbers. Even though I have been trying to do this at home, it is at nursery where she learns the most. She sits and sings, she reads to her teddies and it is all thanks to the wonderful staff at Munchkins Nursery & Pre-School Brightlingsea.

The staff here are kind, professional and very knowledgeable, they treat both my children with kindness, respect and affection, and both have developed excellent relationships with their key people. My eldest excitedly describes her nursery adventures and has developed lots of new skills such as writing and recognising letters etc. The little one smiles and toddles in without a backwards glance. Leaving them happy whilst off for a day at work is to me priceless. The staff are also brilliant at communicating, dealing with illness, incidents etc, and have been brilliant with accommodating our dietary preferences. At end of the day, I feel they are really well supported with their social and emotional development and they are safe and happy. What more could you want?

Our daughter started at Munchkins Brightlingsea in September (she was 10 months) and the staff have gone above and beyond in helping her to settle in - we all know what it is like when a little one starts nursery. After half a term and a period of illness (where again the team were fantastic), my child now loves going to nursery and reaches out for staff as I drop her off in the morning. It is great to see what she has been up to on the app each day. We are also enjoying the signs to the nursery rhymes she is learning alongside the new words! My wife and I are so impressed - we would highly recommend this nursery!
