We are so grateful for the wonderful care and support our child received at Fennies Teddington. The team has been incredible throughout our time there, and especially during the transition to preschool. They went above and beyond to make this change smooth and positive - even taking the time to exchange
emails and share detailed updates with the new school about our child's development plan.
From day one, everyone at Fennies has been attentive, caring, and genuinely invested in each child's progress and well-being. They listened carefully to our concerns and always made us feel supported as parents.
A special thank you to Kevin (Manager) and Cristina (Deputy) for their outstanding dedication and kindness - their leadership truly makes a difference.
We couldn't have asked for a better nursery experience and will always be thankful for the foundation they provided. Highly recommended!

My child has been going to this nursery for 5 months now, since he was 1 year old. The nursery staff are so friendly and seem to genuinely care about my child and his well being. They go on little outings and have a variety of different activities in the room to entertain the children. Food is provided
and sounds nutritious. Overall very happy with the nursery. Obviously wish it was cheaper :)

It's a great nursery my son has been in since 1. He has developed well and has moved up the rooms before starting in inventors. We had a few issues with him moving up (his medication being left in the old room) being placed in nappies while we're in potty training which confused him, few clothes going
missing because they where in old room and the handovers between rooms lacked a little but after settling, he is having fun, making friends he calls out to when we go home, he's learning and his speech is coming along and developing into a great little young person.


Then we come to cost. It's a private nursery the day rate is £10.50 an hour, my son has just turned 3, with the 15 hours of "free" childcare hours (11 due to the full time stretch) my total hours come to 19 we pay for total cost £934.09, he has now turned 3 doubling his funding hours to 22 a week, 8 hours to pay total cost £759.63. which is made up of a supplement cost of £395.63 which increased 495% from his 2 year supplement cost

The manager and his team are wonderful.
Very quick to answer any questions and easy to get hold of, staff are always clued into children's needs.
Great use of apps to alert us to the day to day activities, always looking to grow and build upon the community.
Only issue I feel is the building has
no air conditioning and they looked like they really struggled last summer. Staff handled in brilliantly with lots of garden time but I feel they could get more support from the HQ guys and it'd be cheaper then the portable units they had to use.
Also it is a tad pricey but maybe around the same as other private nurseries. The free childcare hours help but they now also charge a child supplement fee which £70 out of that.
In summary this is a great nursery with dedicated friendly and communicative staff.
They are child development focused and my son had made leaps and bounds since joining. His emotional/social development is priceless so if you can afford it this nursery is worth it.

The nursery building and space are wonderfully light and airy enabling a calm and open feeling in the nursery. The teachers are generally happy and caring and are always considerate of questions or discussions around my child at pick up and drop off. I trust them all to look after my child and to do
their best for her development, which they are all invested in. The communication from the nursery is frequent and I feel well informed about my child.

We have been at Fennies' since my son was 10 months old (he's 3.5 now!). He has not only grown up but thrived at Fennies and absolutely loves it.
He's now in the Preschool room, and is a different child since he joined there in July! He has so much fun with his friends and activities, he is wonderfully
cared for by all his teachers, he is clearly stimulated and learns so many wonderful things which he can't wait to tell me about when we collect him!
My favourite thing about Fennies is that they take time to nurture his interests.
He loves to sing and he enjoys combining that with language - so he often sings his new Spanish songs for us. The teachers are so consistent and allow him to explore instruments and work with him to foster his singing.
This has led us to follow up on this musical passion and expand on his learning of languages too.
The staff are so lovely and we will be very sorry to leave Fennies when it's time for big school next year!

We are so happy we found Fennies. Our daughter suffers from separation anxiety as many do at this age and we have been supported all the way through. Staff have made all the transitions so much easier for her and there are so many friendly faces for her to be reassured by. It's lovely for me to have
that confidence leaving her, knowing she will be well taken care of. Plus they always go above and beyond on special occasions to make them memorable for the children. The Christmas party was so lovely with a special performance by the oldest children.
The facilities are clean and plenty of space and a very safe environment.

Fennies, Teddington is such an incredible nursery! Our son joined at 3 months old and has thrived in his class all thanks to the amazing Explorers Team. He is so happy attending school and loves his teachers and classmates. Overall, every member of staff we have met has been helpful, friendly and caring.

Our daughter has been at Fennies for almost a year and she absolutely loves it now. Our son is really happy to go to nursery every morning. He joins in the room with a big smile, and he is so happy there, he forgets to say bye to us. He gets to do many activities we are not able to do at home as much as we would like, such as painting, messy play, singing, and spending time in the
garden every day. He has now his small group of friends in the baby room, and he loves them! The staff is amazing and professional, especially two particular members of staff. We know he is safe and in the best hands. The nursery manager is amazing and always so welcoming.

What a warm and nurturing nursery. Our son joined the baby room and we were blown away by the attention and willingness of all the staff to really work with us to ensure our boy settled in well. He did and now he loves nursery! This element of partnership has really continued, ensuring we are well-placed
to support our son's development. The environment is clearly a place which will set him up to thrive. Above all, all the staff in the baby room (and those staff who started there and have since moved to other classrooms) are truly special, they set a high standard with the breadth of activities, but most importantly, the kindness and care they visibly give to the babies. Great experience for the past year across baby, toddler to preschooler room. The staff were caring and patient, constantly showering my child with love and helping her grow. They were great at teaching her rules and discipline too. I can see my girl growing with confidence there. The nursery has great
outdoor space with a mud kitchen and sandpit which my child enjoys a lot. They also have Spanish and music sessions adding different experiences for my child. The management helps build a parent's community such as Xmas Party and Summer BBQ to allow parents to mingle and build connections. The food provided was awesome as well with lots of variety. Overall highly recommended to any family nearby!

The management and staff are brilliant. My 16-month-old loves it. The facilities are fantastic, so open and light. They do lots of activities with the children and are really supportive of the parents. They always try to accommodate additional care when needed. They offer seminars and events, inviting
parents to come in on a regular basis. The food is varied and nutritious and my little one seems to enjoy all of it.

After being in Fennies Nursery Teddington a year and three months now, I can only say that my darling son has flourished and developed his speech and social skills so fast that I don't want him to leave. I'm so happy and grateful for the hard and wonderful work the Teddington team has done with my son
throughout his learning journey and a massive thank you to all the staff here, especially the manager who is like a second mom to all the kids here. She listens, understands and helps with everything and anything. My son has been attending Fennies Teddington for almost a year and we absolutely love it. We have moved from another nursery and I can see such a big improvement in his development and readiness for school. He is excited to go there every morning!
The management and staff are truly wonderful. They
have Spanish, French, Art, PE and Cooking classes. The outdoor area is large and equipped with everything a child could want. The rooms are spacious and full of light. 100% recommend Fennies Teddington!

When I was younger, I was quite shy and lacked confidence. However, as I headed to university, I started becoming more of the person I wanted to be, continually pushing myself beyond my comfort zone. I remember having to give an oral presentation in front of my whole class, and my cheeks started trembling! I had to pause and share what was happening, which made everyone chuckle. My friends still recall that moment, and it always brings a smile to their faces. It just goes to show that stepping out of our comfort zones can lead to funny and memorable experiences!

How would you like to inspire the local community through your nursery?
I’ve always been a big fan of supporting small businesses, and I believe it’s important for our children to learn about this too. We’re excited to explore our lovely Teddington community together! Our visits to local spots like the library, post office, and flower shops really help them understand. We are also planning to take trips to Teddington Riverside, Richmond Park and our local parks.

What’s one moment from your Early Years journey so far that you’ve loved?
I remember my time leading forest school sessions; it was such a joy getting messy with the kids as we explored nature together! I really learned a lot from their curious minds. It was truly one of my favourite experiences as an early years teacher. This past year, as the room leader in the Discoverers room has been incredible. I cherish each day and the challenges that come with it. Watching all the children grow and getting to know their families is so rewarding, especially as a mum of a toddler myself. It truly makes the experience special!

What’s your ambition for the future of Early Years education at your nursery?
I’m really passionate about enhancing the Early Years experience at our nursery! I want to support our amazing team in understanding child development and effective learning techniques. By mentoring and hosting engaging, informative meetings, I hope to create an environment where everyone feels happy and excited to learn from each other. Together, we can ensure our little ones thrive!
