What’s a fun fact about you that makes you stand out? (It doesn’t have to relate to Early Years.)
When I was younger, I was quite shy and lacked confidence. However, as I headed to university, I started becoming more of the person I wanted to be, continually pushing myself beyond my comfort zone. I remember having to give an oral presentation in front of my whole class, and my cheeks started trembling! I had to pause and share what was happening, which made everyone chuckle. My friends still recall that moment, and it always brings a smile to their faces. It just goes to show that stepping out of our comfort zones can lead to funny and memorable experiences!
How would you like to inspire the local community through your nursery?
I’ve always been a big fan of supporting small businesses, and I believe it’s important for our children to learn about this too. We’re excited to explore our lovely Teddington community together! Our visits to local spots like the library, post office, and flower shops really help them understand. We are also planning to take trips to Teddington Riverside, Richmond Park and our local parks.
What’s one moment from your Early Years journey so far that you’ve loved?
I remember my time leading forest school sessions; it was such a joy getting messy with the kids as we explored nature together! I really learned a lot from their curious minds. It was truly one of my favourite experiences as an early years teacher. This past year, as the room leader in the Discoverers room has been incredible. I cherish each day and the challenges that come with it. Watching all the children grow and getting to know their families is so rewarding, especially as a mum of a toddler myself. It truly makes the experience special!

By mentoring and hosting engaging, informative meetings, I hope to create an environment where everyone feels happy and excited to learn from each other. Together, we can ensure our little ones thrive!
