Heads of Ayr Nursery is fantastic all round. It is a new building and well kept, with wonderful outside play equipment which is where the children spend the majority of their time. Children's development is well supported including sharing, waiting their turn, eating meals together and becoming independent in daily life. Our daughter ate very well at nursery and we particularly appreciated the daily learning journal. In this app, we could review what happened during the day and what food / drink was consumed / nappy changes as well as having the opportunity to add parent comments to the journal. We also enjoyed the times where parents were invited into the nursery to share events, such as the Halloween walk, Christmas fayre and parent play sessions. The EY Practitioners are all wonderful with the children, my daughter loved her key worker a lot as well as the other girls and we appreciated how kind and patient our key worker was with our daughter. I recommend Heads of Ayr Nursery as an excellent choice.
My daughter has been attending heads of Ayr nursery for the past 18 months. She loves attending the nursery and have developed positive relationships with both staff and peers. The outdoor space at the nursery is amazing, the children enjoy 70/80% of their day outside playing in the natural environment with the animals nearby. The staff are great at keeping parents informed of the day’s adventures via the app and also during pick up and drop off. I am thankful my daughter has another year at the Heads of Ayr nursery before starting school.
They have their own chef who makes brilliant food and snacks and is very much part of the kids day at nursery. She always chats and laughs with the children. The staff are worth their weight in gold here. They genuinely care about the children and are so passionate about having fun and learning. My little one adores her key worker and that's very much reciprocated back. The warmth the staff have when telling you about their fab day at nursery is so reassuring. Other than the fab staff the other unique (and absolutely brilliant) key feature of the nursery is the outdoor space. It's so big with lots to do. It's beautiful and natural. There's no other nursery I know that has outdoor play space like it. They spend 70-80% outside. I love the focus on outdoor / play learning. I hate the thought of little ones cooped up in one room all day.
I couldn’t have chosen a better setting than Heads of Ayr Nursery! The setting is incredible and so engaging for the children. Since my daughter started in January 2020, her confidence has flourished and she has made lots of new friends. She absolutely loves the staff as well! Would highly recommend it.
Heads of Ayr Nursery is an Incredible nursery, my daughter loves it. Staff are great and my daughter comes home happy every day. The surroundings are beautiful and the kids get to spend a lot of time outdoors which is great.
I would highly recommend Heads of Ayr Nursery to any parent all the staff go above and beyond for my 3 year old and she loves all the staff, especially her key worker who she loves to bits and has an amazing bond with. The facilities are the best I've seen and it's very spacious, the garden/outdoor area is one of the best features and is what my daughter loves the most as it is much more advanced than any nursery I've seen, the space and all the equipment in it is of the highest of qualities. The food selection/chef is to the highest of standards and never disappoints, they even ask you in the forms what your child likes to eat so that if they don't want what is on the menu that day they have references to refer back to which in my knowledge is the only nursery to do so. The activities they have at the nursery are amazing as try to get the parents involved as much as possible. My Daughters confidence and skills have grown so much since attending the nursery can not thank the staff enough.
Absolutely five star nursery, my daughter went to nursery from six months and started Heads of Ayr Nursery when she was 3 and the previous nursery just does not compare. The confidence and abilities she has gained will last a lifetime. Every single member of staff is also amazing and I get told that it's the best food in the world, I can't fault anything about the place. The best little nursery family you could ask for!
His progression in that time has been remarkable and he absolutely loves his days there. He is always extremely excited to get to nursery and see all the staff, not just particular members, which indicates to my partner and I that he is safe, secure and really cared for by all at Heads of Ayr. My partner and I have a magnificent relationship with everyone there and we will be truly sad when the day comes he has to leave. All of them are heroes without capes.
Also, just to sign off, the meals the kids get are outstanding, our little man is always well watered and fed.
My son goes to this nursery and he absolutely loves it the early year's practitioners all do an incredible job he feels so safe and secure here. The amount of outside learning they do is fab as I work a lot and can't always be outside playing with the kids. He has learned sign language, numbers, songs, and so much more it's a huge deal leaving your child in the care of someone else at Heads of Ayr Nursery make it so much easier.
The staff are amazing at what they do, and every day is full of fun whilst learning. They are very accommodating and set out weekly/monthly plans so you always know what’s going on. Nothing is too much trouble and they are very professional but also so friendly.
The in house chef serves a variety of food every day including proper meals and snacks which my daughter loves.
The actual nursery itself is awesome, from entering the driveway with the sea views and animals all around you, you are blown away, the open door policy where children can play outdoors as much as they like is perfect for a girl like mine and there’s always so much for her to do there.
I will be forever grateful to you all for assisting me in giving my daughter the best start in life she could possibly have.
My daughter is now four and has been at this nursery for two years and she loves it! We get regular updates and photos through our app as well as an update at the end of each day. She has excelled with her numbers and letters and is so ready for school. She loves the outdoors and the location is wonderful being away from busy town centre. Highly recommend it.
My little one has flourished since he has been at The Heads of Ayr Nursery, I wish he could stay there forever and not need to move onto primary school!
The staff are very welcoming and caring and nothing is ever too much trouble. My son loves the food he gets and eats so much more than at home, I do not know how they manage it.
I cannot fault the nursery at all!
I love how welcoming everyone is and how informed I am on my daughter's day. It's so nice to see how much time she spends outdoors. The learning journal app is fantastic as I can look back and check all aspects of her day.
We can't thank the staff enough for all the care our daughter is given within her day. She absolutely loves nursery days and can't wait until her little sister joins her.
Our daughter has come on leaps and bounds in her learning and confidence with peers over her time at nursery and is so enthusiastic about her experiences. The access to the outdoors is unparalleled and the fact we know that she’s spending so much time in the fresh air was a key consideration for us when choosing her nursery.
Everyone welcomes us and knows us personally which creates a real sense of community and the experience overall has been excellent. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Heads of Ayr Nursery and are just sorry they don’t have places from 1 as our son would also be going soon too if they did.
She settled straight away and actually looks forward to going. This is the complete opposite of the one she went to locally.
I would highly recommend this nursery, the activities and the on site chef make this stand out from the rest.
My son absolutely loves this nursery. He has come out of his shell so much since joining in April 2021 and is absolutely thriving. The set-up, both inside and out, is phenomenal for little ones, particularly those who like to spend time outdoors and the staff and so welcoming and supportive. I couldn't recommend this nursery highly enough!
I love how the children are able to see animals and interact with them, as this was an important aspect for us when choosing a nursery. Animals really do have a positive impact on children and they learn so much from them. My son has become much more confident around animals, especially horses as he will feed them with the staff when they peek over the nursery fence looking for some treats.
The staff are professional, knowledgeable and friendly and really put the children at the centre of their learning.
Putting my little one into Heads of Ayr Nursery is the best decision for both of us. She gets so excited in the morning about going to nursery and seeing her friends, when we arrive she can’t get out of the car quick enough and almost knocks her key worker over with a hug. Some days I get a goodbye but generally, she is desperate to get in I’m left saying goodbye to my happy confident girl as she strolls in all thanks to the wonderful staff.
Recently we have been through some personal ups and downs and the staff have been so amazing at helping my little girl and myself to navigate through this. The care and compassion along with their incredible knowledge and love for their job just shines from all the staff. Every child should have the start this establishment provides.
The nursery itself has so many opportunities for the children with every activity you could think of. The outdoor space is enormous with farm animals regularly popping their heads in to say hello, but my daughter especially loves the water features and treehouses. I love that the nursery is completely child-led so she gets to decide what activities and games she want to play, and there is constant access to the garden if she wants to go outside. The children even chose their own key worker.
It's been such a tough year being stuck at home and I constantly worried about her social skills but now my daughter talks about her friends and teachers all day long.
My child has attended this nursery since it opened and she has thrived in this environment. I am delighted with the opportunity for my child at this nursery. The staff have been excellent and lovely to speak to and get updates from.
