What an amazing environment for my grandson to grow and develop in - I have observed how much he has developed in his vocabulary, his expression, confidence and social skills.
The Heads of Ayr Nursery really is a top class facility and the staff are always so welcoming, warm and attentive. I was impressed
to learn they have a chef onsite and the children receive a hot lunch every day with lots of healthy snacks throughout the day.
My grandson shows me around the nursery when I visit, and wow the outdoor play area is fabulous for young explorers, rich in sensory sounds, sights and colours, and great for developing the gross motor skills. My grandson continues to progress in every aspect of his development.

My daughter loves going to nursery and this is because the staff have made her feel so comfortable and the kindness they have shown my daughter and my family has been amazing.
The nursery staff have always accommodated everything I have asked and went above and beyond and I cannot thank them enough.
My
child's personality and confidence has grown so much going to nursery and I am forever grateful to all the staff for giving my child such an amazing start to her education and being such amazing role models for her.
The surroundings of the nursery and the outdoor garden facilities are truly amazing and the range of activities the children can do outside and also in under cover spaces are just amazing.
I would recommend the nursery to everyone.

A fabulous setting in which children are challenged and supported to grow and develop through exploration of the natural word. The relationship between the staff and the children is clearly very strong and a testament to the hard work they put in.

We've had a really positive experience with this nursery and feel confident leaving our baby girl in their care.
The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. They took the time to help her settle in and always keep us updated on her day, which gives us great peace of mind. It's clear they understand
how important trust is for parents.
The environment is clean, safe, and well-organised, with plenty of age-appropriate activities that support learning and development. We've noticed a big improvement in her confidence and social skills since starting.
Communication has been excellent throughout, and any questions or concerns we've had have been addressed promptly and professionally.
Overall, we're very happy with the nursery and would highly recommend it to other parents.
Thank you to all the team including the chef as well

My Son has been attending the nursery for over a year now, starting when he had just turned 2 and in the Sunshine Room, and now 3 and in the Rainbow Room.

From the moment you walk through the front door you are met by one of the fabulous team who are always personable and cheerful, and I can honestly

say that about every member of staff. They are genuinely invested in the individual care of the children and celebrate their successes.

Both indoor and outdoor spaces are excellent. I love that most of their time is spend outdoors as that is right up my Sons street. The encouragement that the children receive to be independent is telling as my Son can now dress for the outdoors himself confidently.

The opening hours of the nursery are great as they have allowed me to continue with my 9-5 job without any need to change my hours.

I highly recommend Heads of Ayr to all friends.

My son has been attending HOA nursery for 18 months and he loves it. The staff are all very friendly, helpful and caring. I will be sending my younger child once they are old enough to attend.

The nursery is in a great setting and I love that my son is able to spend lots of time outdoors. The nursery

has great activities and my son has developed so much since he started attending.

I would recommend the nursery to anyone looking at the best place for their child

My son attends this nursery and it is absolutely fantastic! The staff are exceptional and the facilities are the best I have ever seen in a nursery. He loves attending and enjoys the outside space and seeing all the animals. I wouldn't want to send him anywhere else.

Heads of Ayr is a wonderful nursery, the setting is wonderful and the staff make full use of the benefits it provides to the children.

The staff are loving and caring towards the children and form strong bonds with them. They are incredibly supportive of the children and their families especially

during trickier times.

The nursery holds family events during the year and engage with parents a significant amount. It's very easy to forget they are the teachers and carers of your child and not your friend you've known for ages.

The chef is outstanding and clearly cares deeply about ensuring the children get a balanced, varied and fun diet.

My son started Heads of Ayr Nursery back in September 2025 when he turned 2 and I have to say it's been the best choice I have made for my son's development and social skills. He loves coming to the nursery every morning, he has grown very attached to all the girls who work in the Nursery. He has came
on leaps and bounds since starting the nursery with words and counting that he never knew before, as well as his eating skills, and trying new foods he never normally would try at home. Every day I get to see what he has been up to and any mile stones he has achieved being at nursery & it just shows every day how much he is enjoying being there with his friends and the staff, I have such peace of mind knowing how well he is cared for when he is at the nursery. I cannot thank them enough. Aeron loves to go outside and get as messy and dirty as possible where as before he would freak out at being dirty which is a massive mile stone for us getting over that. I could keep going..

Both of our children attend this nursery within the sunshine and rainbow rooms and absolutely love their time there. The staff are all excellent and go above and beyond to ensure the children are safe and nurtured. Both our children have come on leaps and bounds since starting nursery and love coming
home telling us what they have been doing.
I love that the staff take so much care to ensure that the children's emotional needs are met and that the children always feel safe, supported and given help to express themselves and how they are feeling.
Thanks again for all that you do for us and the care and support you show our little ones.

My little girl has been attending this nursery for the past two years, and my son started a few months ago as well. I honestly cannot recommend this nursery highly enough.

With very little support around us for childcare, it has been absolutely invaluable to have a place and a team of staff that

I genuinely trust. Knowing my children are safe, happy, and cared for means everything. The staff are warm, nurturing, and truly invested in each child - my children absolutely adore them.

They learn so much every day and are constantly coming home with new skills, stories, and confidence. They never want to leave at pick-up time, which says it all! I also love how much time they spend outdoors - they're outside all the time, exploring, playing, and thriving.

We feel incredibly lucky to have found such a special nursery.

My daughter has been going to the nursery for three years and I can't speak highly enough of it! The staff and the environment they create have helped shape my daughter's experience. We absolutely love the amount of time spent outdoors and having freedom of play as well as the activities and themes
of learning set up for the kids. My daughter has come on leaps and bounds in every part of her development with the help of Heads of Ayr Nursery and I would highly recommend it to everyone with young children!

Heads of Ayr nursery is the best!

My son previously went to another local nursery before age 2 and the difference is just night and day! The facilities are perfect and the place is just so bright, clean and welcoming. I genuinely rave about Heads of Ayr to anyone I can. I have found my son has come

on leaps and bounds since he started in February, totally out his shell and speech has developed massively! Considering this is a boy that used to be ripped off me hysterical on the nursery run I just can't believe the difference.

The girls in the sunshine room are so approachable and couldn't be more helpful with anything I have asked. I love the app and seeing what they get up to day to day. Delighted that my child will be able to stay here until he starts p1. Thanks again everybody!

Since starting at the heads of Ayr nursery my son has just flourished in all aspects of his development.
This is a totally unique facility, with an extensive outdoor area that my son loves to explore and has the resident horses and llamas looking over the fence to say hello. Inside has plenty to keep
them entertained with numerous play and chill out spaces. A variety of different activities and learning opportunities are set up daily to keep learning fun and engaging and making no two days at nursery the same.
All the staff here are just fantastic. They have an incredible bond with my child. The chef makes the best food, and I can't believe he now eats chicken curry and fish enchiladas! I can't speak highly enough of the heads of Ayr nursery from the facility to the staff, it truly is first class

I can't rate the nursery enough, my wee boy was quite unsettled when he started and the staff were amazing, taking into account his interests and ensuring they had toys/resources to support him to have smoother transitions into nursery. He's also a fussy eater and I feel as though the staff go above
& beyond to try and cater to his food choices.

My daughter has attended Heads of Ayr Nursery for 18 months now (and my son previously attended for 3 years) and during that time I have seen the nursery grow and develop and become a vital and special part of my children's lives as well as my own. The staff are second to none, and always go above and
beyond for the children, and provide them with lots of great opportunities and interesting learning experiences throughout their day. From visits from the police, fire brigade, sports coaches and library bus, to raising and hatching butterflies, creating exciting mud slides, hunting escaped dinosaurs and building obstacle courses, the childrens' days are packed with fun and adventure. Every staff member knows my daughter well and takes the time to talk to her and show an interest in her thoughts, feelings and experiences. These relationships don't end when the children move on, my son is still made to feel 'part of the family' when he visits with his sister, despite being in school now.

My second child is now attending Heads of Ayr Nursery and the experience he is being offered is second to none. The staff know my child extremely well and take time to engage with him and his special interests. All members of staff are welcoming, nurturing and work as a team to foster the lovely positive
ethos which is evident from the moment you step inside. The outside space is wonderful and utilised so well for outdoor learning. There is no other Nursery like this around and I am so grateful my children have had the opportunity to flourish here.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.992) out of 10 for Heads of Ayr Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 40 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 40 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.992 for Heads of Ayr Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (477 Excellents x 5) + (2 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 480 Ratings = 4.992
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Heads of Ayr Nursery is based on 40 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 57 number of registered child places is 11.4, which has been reached with 40 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
