Heads of Ayr offers my little one an outdoor experience like no other I have found. He loves the animals coming up to the fence or watching them from the tower. He lives for the outdoors which the Staff at Heads of Ayr have been able to nurture and grow while he has grown. He has been with them since
he was 2. The Staff are amazing and have developed and evolved their own skills to help support my son and others in the nursery setting. Always looking for introducing new learning opportunities to the children in their care. Our time at Heads of Ayr is soon due to finish as he starts school but I will be FOREVER grateful for the opportunities, support and experiences that the team involved at Heads of Ayr Nursery have given to my son and family.

Where to start with Heads of Ayr Nursery. I feel very lucky to have our son going to Heads Of Ayr, The nursery itself is world class, the surroundings and environment are incredible and contribute to a wonderful and safe learning environment but it is the team who make this nursery what it is, they
are terrific with our son and genuinely care for him. His progression in the time has been remarkable and he grown bucketloads in knowledge, learning and confidence. He can articulate his emotions and is very happy to do so with the team around him. My wife and I have a great relationship with everyone, a very honest and open relationship with the team who communicate highs, lows and everything in between with us both. We couldn't think of a better place to be and we really see Heads of Ayr as an extension of our support network. Outstanding!

Heads of Ayr is an outstanding nursery. From the wonderful attitude of the staff, the top rate communication but without fuss, to the fantastic encouragement and support our daughter is given. The extensive outdoor space at the nursery tops it off!
We'll forever be grateful for the time our daughter
has spent at Head of Ayr.

Heads of Ayr has just been brilliant for my daughter's development and well being, she gets plenty of fresh air and has made lots of friends. The staff are wonderful and they've really bonded well with the children. There was some staff churn last year however thankfully it seems to have settled down
now.

My wee girl absolutely loves her friends, teachers and all the staff at Heads of Ayr nursery. She was quite shy and nervous with other grown ups at first and over the last year has completely come out of her shell. She really trusts her teachers and feels safe there - and always has fun stories to share
on the way home. Couldn't be happier that we send her here.

Heads of Ayr is a fantastic nursery and I am so pleased that our daughter has been able to go here. She has been attending the nursery for 18 months and her progression has been brilliant. It is one of the best things we have done for her! She has bonded with the staff in both the Sunshine and Rainbow
room. All of the staff in the nursery are worth their weight in gold, every single person genuinely cares and you can feel the positive ethos as soon as you walk in the door. I have always felt reassured and safe leaving our daughter in their care. The large outdoor space is outstanding and has so much for the children to explore. It is such a unique feature for a nursery in this area and appears to be regularly developed and extended. The staff are always planning new learning experiences which are clearly led by the children's interests. All staff engage regularly with parents, daily through the app and pick up, and through special events. Couldn't be happier with Heads of Ayr!

My daughter has been attending heads of Ayr nursery since the age of 2. As many parents with kids the same age lockdown had a huge impact for us and my daughter hadn't been around any one really apart from myself. The nursery staff from the girls in the classroom to the girls in the office and of course
the fabulous nursery chef, they have all made her feel so welcome. I felt very nervous about her being with other people but that was quickly put to rest when I realised how lovely everyone is. They are so friendly, so nurturing and so encouraging. My daughter has really came out of her shell since starting nursery, she has became this kind, bubbly, confident wee girl. She has always been very clever and loves arts and crafts and the nursery support her so much. She has came on leaps and bounds since starting. She starts school this August and the ladies in the rainbow room have been helping her for the transition. My daughter now wants to work at the nursery when she's older.

Heads of Ayr is more than a nursery, it's like an extension to our family! From our very first visit all of the staff made our little girl feel right at home.
I immediately felt comfortable, knowing that she was receiving the best possible care. The wee one's get such great experiences, the grinch

My twin daughters have been attending Heads of Ayr Nursery since Nov 2022. I have always been amazed by the level of care, patience, quality of education, and variety of experiences available to children. I do feel however that is only this year I have fully realised how much ahead this facility actually
is. Management makes the functioning of this facility seamless and they seem to take children's wellbeing as the highest priority at all times. Children receive adequate care and attention, children's educational pathway is tailored to individuals needs and learning speed (I definitely see differences between my children, and I see how staff are always recognising their unique pace and talents). Children's menu is wide and varied and I am so pleased to see that nursery does not allow unhealthy foods brought from outside of nursery. Visits from mobile library, police, dental nurses, athletics instructor, fire services and our own Santa grotto, pumpkin trail are just to name a few!

Our little girls has only been at nursery for the last 6 weeks but has settled in well. The staff have went above and beyond to make her feel welcome and always communicate well with parents. Regular emails and access to the learning journal makes the transitions so much easier. We feel so at ease knowing
how well cared for she is. Also she has so much fun doing lots of fun activities everyday! Thank you so much to the fabulous Team heads of Ayr for all the hard work you do everyday!

My daughter loves Heads of Ayr nursery and feels happy there, the staff have been so nurturing making her feel valued and safe.

There's are lots of different activities set up each day for the children to get involve with and a huge outdoor space to explore. The nursery keeps you updated on their

learning experiences so you're not in the dark about what they are up to all day.

My daughter asked me last week if she could go on her day off which is the opposite reaction she had to her old nursery.

I feel so calm about leaving her and confident going to work knowing that she's happy and in safe hands.

From the moment you walk in the door there is a warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The staff staff are welcoming, attentive and engaging . The facilities and play space are amazing. It's clear that all the children feel confident.

I highly recommend Heads of Ayr nursery to anyone wanting to give their child the best opportunity to thrive and learn.

The staff at Heads of Ayr go above and beyond to care for your child. They do their best to cater for any requests you make and it shows with big smiles from your child via the Learning Journals and when you collect your child at the end of the day.

My son attended HOA nursery from the day it opened

until he started school in 2023, and since then my second son has attended since May 2024 and my daughter due to attend from Oct 2025.

We travel over 30 mins to attend this nursery setting and wouldn't have it any other way. I would 100% recommend the nursery and all staff members to anyone putting my mind at ease, as I return back to work, that my child is getting the care and attention that I myself would give them on a daily basis.

In addition the food served to the children is 5 star! The chef must have some magic recipes as my 6 year old still talks about her famous curry he loved but refuses to eat at home.

I truly believe that this is the best nursery to attend in Ayrshire.

Settling my daughter into nursery last October was so seamless and the staff made sure the whole family was included in her settling in period and nursery plan for her. Since then the updates and communication has been outstanding. My daughter is always desperate to go to nursery as all the staff are
always smiling and caring. I can see such an improvement in my daughter's speech and social skills and it's all down to the nurseries huge input in her learning and nurturing her skills whilst teaching her new ones. We love it so much she won't be going to school nursery before school.

Heads of Ayr Nursery is a fantastic educational facility which supports the needs of all the children in its care.

The staff are very well educated in childcare and treat every child with love, compassion and understanding.

The facility itself is absolutely outstanding with an incredible outdoor

space where children can make the most of the beautiful surroundings and be introduced to the animals at the farm park located next door.

The indoor space is equally outstanding with a lot of thought and care having clearly gone into the set up of the rooms and the variety equipment and areas available to the children to allow them to grow and develop into well rounded, caring, loving and well educated little humans.

I'm always proud to tell people that my child attends Heads of Ayr. Sending my child there is one of the best decisions we have ever made.

Current Review Score: 10.0 (9.992)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.992) out of 10 for Heads of Ayr Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 40 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 40 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.992 for Heads of Ayr Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (477 Excellents x 5) + (2 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 480 Ratings = 4.992
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Heads of Ayr Nursery is based on 40 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 57 number of registered child places is 11.4, which has been reached with 40 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
