Woodlea House Day Nursery & Pre-School

My son has been at Woodlea for nearly a year now, and his development has come on amazingly! All the staff are lovely and go above and beyond, the owner is so lovely, always helpful and is always there to support parents without any judgement! I can't express enough how lovely this nursery is and the unconditional support they give.

I could not rate Woodlea high enough, the nursery is fantastic! I was, like any first-time mum, dreading giving my child to someone else to care for, but I can honestly say, after the first week I could not have been happier. They had a fantastic settling-in process which got myself and my daughter used to the transition and made me feel totally at ease. Their care and the love they show my daughter is just amazing - from all the staff. Their facilities are fantastic, very clean, loads of different things for your child to do and brilliant learning tools. They share pictures of your child and notes from the day so you know what they've been up to. And they help incorporate things from home into nursery life (such as dropping naps/potty training etc). My daughter is so happy there and I am so so pleased the manager set up this nursery. Thank you so much for looking after my little girl, like a home away from home.

Absolutely fantastic nursery. Beautiful surroundings and the staff are so caring and loving. It feels like home the minute you walk through the door. My daughter goes to two sessions a week and her development improves each and every time she attends. Feel so lucky and grateful to be a part of the Woodlea House journey.

I love that they update the app during the day with photos and food, nappy changes and naps. It's such a relief to know that your child is in the safest of hands whilst at work.

Our daughter started when the nursery opened, having come from a childminder it was important the environment has the right feel while allowing the opportunities for her to develop more and Woodlea has that! Since starting we have seen a huge leap in her and she loves being there, always happy to go, not always happy to leave! At the start I was told the aim was to be a home from home and a little nursery family, they have achieved that. When you walk in not only is the environment stunning and very clean with a good range of activities offered, but the atmosphere is calm and warm. The staff are fantastic, you can see how much they care about the children, nothing is too much trouble and they are so accommodating! They have an on-site chef/nutritionist, seeing the range of food offered is amazing, our daughter is having the opportunity to try new things all the time. Also, with us both working shifts the breakfast club is so handy (something we struggled to find). Can’t recommend Woodlea more!

Our lockdown baby (who’s not so much a baby anymore) started at Woodlea when it opened. Being a shy child that had never been without myself or Dad starting nursery was a challenge but the staff were completely supportive and met him where he was making the transfer into the nursery as smooth as it could have been. He loves it there and has blossomed and become far more confident in the month they have been open. The staff are always so attentive and caring.

No hesitation in recommending Woodlea, it is fantastic.

Woodlea House is a beautiful setting for my child and the owner and her team are 5 stars! They have invested love and care into my son and he has settled beautifully in such a short space of time. He is only 8 months old, 7 months when he first started, and he is already thriving. I see changes in his development every time I pick him up and he comes home happy and content. I feel at complete ease leaving him knowing he is being looked after just as I would want him to be. I can’t thank the owner and her team enough!

Sending your child to a brand new nursery is always daunting when you have no feedback to read, no Ofsted report or any recommendation but honestly, I wouldn't let this put you off. The staff are great, my little one loves going in and they always offer a wide range of activities for the children. I would highly recommend Woodlea and think they are doing a great job. The app is also great and we love to see the updates each day.

My daughter started in January this year and she absolutely loves the staff and the nursery. She has become much more confident with others and asks to come every morning. So pleased she started here and would definitely recommend.
