Finkley East Anton Nursery and Pre-School

Our son joined the nursery in September 2021 and we were super apprehensive after our daughter had had a bad experience with a different nursery. Our son settled so quickly and doesn’t even say goodbye to us when we drop him off and comes out with the biggest smile on his face at pick up time! The staff are wonderful, you can tell they truly care about the children and they take the time to let us know all about what our son has been up to. It’ll be sad to say goodbye to them all before he goes to school this September but I’m glad he will have the amazing memories of his lovely time there!

After recently receiving the latest newsletter it dawned on me just how happy I was that I chose this setting for my daughter to move to last September. To see so many exciting up and coming activities, not forgetting the amazing day to day activities that are so wonderfully planned. The team work hard and do so much for the children. Finkley East Anton is a place where my daughter is comfortable and happy, as well as offering me support while going through a difficult time.

As sad as I will be to see her leave this year to go to school, I’m excited that we can continue our journey with my son starting in September. Such a fantastic setting for children, and you can see this in their faces when they come out from nursery. The conversations we have about activities, friends and the staff. It’s a real comfort, especially to parents who may be anxious about their little ones starting their nursery journey. It’s a 10/10 from me.

My son has been going to the nursery since September and I can’t fault it.

The staff are always very friendly when I come to collect him, they are happy to offer advice and my son is always happy to see whoever is at the door when he arrives. They really helped me to crack the toilet training.

I have been really impressed with the variety of activities that offered to the children and opportunities to go to the farm.

The communication between the nursery and parents is good. The newsletter and use of an app means that I feel well informed of what is happening and what is coming up next.

I would definitely recommend the nursery to others.

I am so pleased that I selected this nursery above all others. It is perfect.

My child first started at Finkley East Anton when it first opened. We moved them from another setting and it was the best decision we have made. They have come on leaps and bounds in their social skills, speech and confidence The staff keep me updated daily via tapestry and have already begun the transition sessions to prepare them for school.

Ultimately the staff are incredible. They have achieved so much in the year they have been open and during the pandemic. I can’t thank them enough.

My child has been going since last year when it first opened. They are amazing, so helpful, always give my child the attention she needs. They always give good ideas of what to do with the kids at home (activity to do). They take the kids to the farm which is lovely as they interact with animals.

The staff are so lovely and very helpful, they have gone above and beyond to help with my daughter's development delay and partial hearing loss. My daughter loves going to nursery and skips on in every day. She loves the trips to the farm and little outings they do, such as magic shows and the circus. I could not ask for any more.

We have all enjoyed Finkley and the effort they put into making each day fun-filled and interesting. My little girl has come out of her shell so much in just 6-months and constantly asks to go to nursery. The staff are very supportive, and everyone is very friendly. My daughter's key worker is absolutely lovely and always on the ball. My little girl does a long day twice a week, and I was worried it would be too much for her, but she always has the best time, and I know if she gets upset, her key worker knows how to handle it. They’ve also helped her ditch the dummy, and we’re working on potty training. My daughter also loves the added bonus of being able to visit Finkley farm, and I think it’s great they have soft play where the children can let off steam in the winter.

My partner and I are so happy we chose this nursery for our son. He talks about it all the time, the fun activities and how nice the staff are. The staff are always so friendly at drop off and pickups, we go to work knowing our son is being well taken care of. The information we receive about his daily progress and activities from the staff or via tapestry and email is fantastic. It's great to see first-hand when he brings home pictures or items he has made. It's a great place for learning and development for our son. We will be sad when it's time for him to go to school. We will definitely be sending our youngest son here. Thank you for your amazing work everybody.

We recently moved to Andover and we are happy to see our daughter enrolled at East Anton Nursery. She is enjoying it. It is early days but I am sure she will settle down well. Would like to see weekly child observations captured in the online journal. Hope this will be done.

My son has been attending for a few weeks now and the positive change in him has been clear. He is much more confident around other children and seems to have become more independent. He looks forward to going to nursery and speaks of it fondly. The staff are great with communication using tapestry and I feel that they’ve done very well considering they’ve only been open for less than a month. The setting itself is well set up and the outside area is a particular favourite area for my son. I feel confident that my child is safe and well cared for whilst at Finkley East Anton!

My second child has recently started at Finkley East Anton and absolutely loves it. The new site is fantastic and brilliantly set out. My daughter loved being at another nursery so there was never a question that my son would follow on. As a family, we have loved the nursery, past and present.

Great location to home. Very convenient. School is well maintained. Staff are great and friendly. Love that they are open all year round. Great covid protocols in place. Son loves going to Finkley Farm in the Finkley van.

This setting is amazing. My daughter was removed from her previous setting and has settled in amazingly. The variety of activities on offer is higher than any other setting I am aware of. The ability for the children to visit the farm as well as the various areas in the setting means my daughter loves her days at the setting and I wish I moved her sooner.

All the staff are friendly and professional, my son has a lot of additional needs and the support and reassurance we have received has been outstanding to make sure all of my son's needs are met. Nothing seems to be a bother, they are so adapting to meet the child’s needs. My son enjoys his time at the setting and I’m really pleased with the whole settling-in process.

My family and I had just moved to the UK and my children hadn't been to school for over two months. As a mom, I wanted to get them into nursery/school as soon as possible to give them a routine and sense of stability again. I called Finkley and was thrilled to hear they had space for my son. I took a walk through the setting with a very warm and engaging lady in the management team, who answered all my questions. The online registration process was simple and emails are answered promptly. Finkley believes wholeheartedly in outdoor play, which was important to me. The children get to drive in the van to a nearby farm to feed the animals, which my son thoroughly enjoys. I appreciate that the Finkley team have helped my son settle after our massive life-changing move across continents. Finkley is, without a doubt, a great choice!

Our experience with Finkley East Anton has been nothing but amazing! All the staff have been so kind to us and made us feel extremely welcome! My child loves school and walks straight in with no fuss, she comes home happy and smiley which makes all the difference! Have had one issue when my child can’t use the facility’s nappies but has still come home in nappies supplied by the nursery. After speaking to the staff at the door this has been resolved and we have had no other issues.

My son really enjoys going to nursery. He gets so excited in the morning before he goes and on the day he doesn’t go, he gets so upset because he wants to be there. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend the nursery.
