Finkley East Anton is a purpose-built nursery which opened in April 2021. Located just 15 minutes walk away from the award-winning Finkley Down Farm attraction which they visit regularly. They also have a large garden, this setting provides enriching outdoor experiences for the children to explore. Finkley East Anton also has its own mini bus which they use daily to go on exciting adventures.

Both the indoor and outdoor areas are set up to promote learning through a stimulating environment with engaging activities and experiences.

The setting which caters for children aged 3 months - 5 years has its very own sensory area and soft play.

The setting is very excited to announce that in April 2025 they will be opening a baby room which will cater for children aged from 3 months.

  • We are approved providers of Hampshire County Council’s free early year’s educational grant for 2, 3 and 4-year olds. This funding is available for all children from the term after their third birthday regardless of family circumstances. We will supply you with all the required information and parent declaration forms for you to complete, as your child reaches the appropriate age.

My son has just started at Finkley East Anton and despite it being my second child I still felt incredibly anxious about leaving him. From the moment I enquired about Finkley East Anton, I was reassured and made to feel at ease. The staff regularly emailed to keep me updated with the process and to
book settling sessions. He's settled really well and that's down to the fantastic key worker system the nursery has, my son knows who his key person is but will happily go to all the staff as they are so friendly and welcoming. The farm visits are a bonus especially and I've been told they get to go on other trips in the local area as they have a bus.
Thank you everyone for looking for my little boy and helping him settle into nursery life.

The nursery is excellent in every way. My daughter started there in January and was really excited to go, unfortunately she started to be a little worried about going after about three weeks but the staff at the nursery welcomed her so nicely that she soon forgot about that and went eagerly again.
I am so pleased that I selected this nursery above all others. It is perfect.

My child first started at Finkley East Anton when it first opened. We moved them from another setting and it was the best decision we have made. They have come on leaps and bounds in their social skills, speech and confidence The staff keep me updated daily via tapestry and have already begun the transition
sessions to prepare them for school.


One highlight for me is the number of trips out of setting the staff arrange. They are linked with Finkley Down Farm and visit regularly but they also visit local lakes, parks and green spaces. I also really appreciate the themed crafts the children create which is influenced by the learning theme of the week. It’s really lovely seeing my child proudly clutching their creation. The outdoor space is great and they have space to grow things.
Ultimately the staff are incredible. They have achieved so much in the year they have been open and during the pandemic. I can’t thank them enough.

My child has been going since last year when it first opened. They are amazing, so helpful, always give my child the attention she needs. They always give good ideas of what to do with the kids at home (activity to do). They take the kids to the farm which is lovely as they interact with animals.

The staff are so lovely and very helpful, they have gone above and beyond to help with my daughter's development delay and partial hearing loss. My daughter loves going to nursery and skips on in every day. She loves the trips to the farm and little outings they do, such as magic shows and the circus.
I could not ask for any more.

We have all enjoyed Finkley and the effort they put into making each day fun-filled and interesting. My little girl has come out of her shell so much in just 6-months and constantly asks to go to nursery. The staff are very supportive, and everyone is very friendly. My daughter's key worker is absolutely
lovely and always on the ball. My little girl does a long day twice a week, and I was worried it would be too much for her, but she always has the best time, and I know if she gets upset, her key worker knows how to handle it. They’ve also helped her ditch the dummy, and we’re working on potty training. My daughter also loves the added bonus of being able to visit Finkley farm, and I think it’s great they have soft play where the children can let off steam in the winter.

My partner and I are so happy we chose this nursery for our son. He talks about it all the time, the fun activities and how nice the staff are. The staff are always so friendly at drop off and pickups, we go to work knowing our son is being well taken care of. The information we receive about his daily
progress and activities from the staff or via tapestry and email is fantastic. It's great to see first-hand when he brings home pictures or items he has made. It's a great place for learning and development for our son. We will be sad when it's time for him to go to school. We will definitely be sending our youngest son here. Thank you for your amazing work everybody.

We recently moved to Andover and we are happy to see our daughter enrolled at East Anton Nursery. She is enjoying it. It is early days but I am sure she will settle down well. Would like to see weekly child observations captured in the online journal. Hope this will be done.

My son has been attending for a few weeks now and the positive change in him has been clear. He is much more confident around other children and seems to have become more independent. He looks forward to going to nursery and speaks of it fondly. The staff are great with communication using tapestry
and I feel that they’ve done very well considering they’ve only been open for less than a month. The setting itself is well set up and the outside area is a particular favourite area for my son. I feel confident that my child is safe and well cared for whilst at Finkley East Anton!

My second child has recently started at Finkley East Anton and absolutely loves it. The new site is fantastic and brilliantly set out. My daughter loved being at another nursery so there was never a question that my son would follow on. As a family, we have loved the nursery, past and present.

Great location to home. Very convenient. School is well maintained. Staff are great and friendly. Love that they are open all year round. Great covid protocols in place. Son loves going to Finkley Farm in the Finkley van.

This setting is amazing. My daughter was removed from her previous setting and has settled in amazingly. The variety of activities on offer is higher than any other setting I am aware of. The ability for the children to visit the farm as well as the various areas in the setting means my daughter loves
her days at the setting and I wish I moved her sooner.

All the staff are friendly and professional, my son has a lot of additional needs and the support and reassurance we have received has been outstanding to make sure all of my son's needs are met. Nothing seems to be a bother, they are so adapting to meet the child’s needs. My son enjoys his time at

My family and I had just moved to the UK and my children hadn't been to school for over two months. As a mom, I wanted to get them into nursery/school as soon as possible to give them a routine and sense of stability again. I called Finkley and was thrilled to hear they had space for my son. I took
a walk through the setting with a very warm and engaging lady in the management team, who answered all my questions. The online registration process was simple and emails are answered promptly. Finkley believes wholeheartedly in outdoor play, which was important to me. The children get to drive in the van to a nearby farm to feed the animals, which my son thoroughly enjoys. I appreciate that the Finkley team have helped my son settle after our massive life-changing move across continents. Finkley is, without a doubt, a great choice!

Our experience with Finkley East Anton has been nothing but amazing! All the staff have been so kind to us and made us feel extremely welcome! My child loves school and walks straight in with no fuss, she comes home happy and smiley which makes all the difference! Have had one issue when my child can’t
use the facility’s nappies but has still come home in nappies supplied by the nursery. After speaking to the staff at the door this has been resolved and we have had no other issues.

My son really enjoys going to nursery. He gets so excited in the morning before he goes and on the day he doesn’t go, he gets so upset because he wants to be there. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend the nursery.

Dani is our SENCo Manager and supports all of our Finkley Nurseries in meeting the needs of all children within our care, Danielle joined the Finkley family in March 2021. Dani is currently working towards her degree in Special Education Needs and Inclusivity.


We asked Dani what her favourite part about working with children is and she said;


"I love seeing the impact that both myself and our wonderful staff have on the children and their future outcomes. I love to get involved and enjoy running both Bucket time and BLAST sessions within all of our settings."

Jack

Jack Snell Dunn

Job Title: Daily Lead Joined: 2021

Jack is a level 3 qualified practitioner who has been working at Finkley since 2021. Jack loves creating amazing tuff trays and creating artistic masterpieces with all of the children.
Jack started with us as an apprentice and worked his way to being qualified, quickly showing everyone what an amazing Daily Lead he would make and started this journey in February 2024.
